  1. There are also Domoticz and HomeGenie - They are simpler than OpenHAB.
  2. I have compiled VirtualBox 5.0.16 compiled for new unRAID v6.1.9. I am currently sending it to lainie. Please wait for lainie to upload to download server.
  3. Hello, I have been running MySQL as a service on my Windows 7 VM (Virtualbox) for some years without issues. MySQL is configured to use a network folder on my cache drive. datadir="//TOWER/cache/unRAID_Apps/XBMC/XBMC_Database/data" I have created another VM with Windows 10 in order to start migrating functionality to it and remove my Windows 7 VM. I installed MySQL (tried v5.6 and v5.7) and configured it using the same MySQL "my.ini" file that I use on Windows 7. This time the service refuses to start - starts and doesn't complete to reach run state. I then tried to run MySQL not as a service but as a console (CMD window always running in background) and !! it works !! C:\PortableApps\mysql-5.6.29-winx64\bin\mysqld.exe --defaults-file="C:\PortableApps\mysql-5.6.29-winx64\my.ini" --console I tried to also run it as a service from the command line but get the same problem as before - won't start. C:\PortableApps\mysql-5.6.29-winx64\bin\mysqld.exe --install MYSQL56 --defaults-file="C:\PortableApps\mysql-5.6.29-winx64\my.ini" This get's me to believing that the service runs with different credetials and maybe doesn't have permissions to the network location. So for now I am running it as a console and not service. Keep in mind that the same setups is working on my Windows 7 VM. Can anyone provide any pointers?
  4. Yes I know but according to the lspci they are also coming from the PCH C222 and also no port seems to be physically connected to these controllers.
  5. The PCH chip is maybe mapped to more then one PCI device. Because according to the board block diagram there are no other USB controllers.
  6. After reading Intel® C222 Express PCH datasheet, it seems that the xHCI controller supports 14 USB 2.0 ports of which 6 can be USB 3.0 (In addtion there are 2 EHCI controllers). See section 5.21 of http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/8-series-chipset-pch-datasheet.pdf I am now thinking that SuperMicro connected all USB ports (2.0 and 3.0) to the xHCI controller - meaning that it cannot be passed-through as a whole.
  7. I ran readlink on all usb devices Tower login: root Linux 4.1.17-unRAID. root@Tower:~# readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1 ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1 root@Tower:~# readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb2 ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2 root@Tower:~# readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb3 ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb3 root@Tower:~# readlink /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb4 ../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb4 root@Tower:~# It seems that USB1 and USB2 are on the same PCI device 00:14.0 although one is USB2.0 and the other is USB 3.0. If so what are the other 2 USB devices (3 and 4)?
  8. Did you ever get it working - did you understand why they are all reporting the same bus? I am having the same issue.
  9. I will do it later on today when I get back home and post back. BobPhoenix, That is what is puzzling... all ports (internal USB 3.0, internal USB 2.0, external USB 2.0) are reporting back the same BUS 001 !
  10. I am trying to map my USB ports on the X10SLL-F board and have a problem. Please look at my post http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36768.msg450458#msg450458
  11. Has anyone done the mapping on a Supermicro X10SLL-F board? lspci 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family USB xHCI (rev 05) 00:1a.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family USB EHCI #2 (rev 05) 00:1d.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family USB EHCI #1 (rev 05) lsusb Bus 004 Device 002: ID 8087:8000 Intel Corp. When connecting a USB device (DOK) to the external USB 2.0 ports I get them all on BUS 001 but my boot disk which is connected to the internal USB 3.0 port is also on BUS 001. I do not have internal cables to USB headers so can't test all other ports. How can both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 reside on the same controller? edit: I found and added an internal USB 2.0 header and still the test DOK is shown as USB 001 !!! Are all the motherboards' USB ports connected to the same controller?!
  12. Just remember not to upgrade unRAID to a new version if it has a new kernel until I release/compile a new VirtualBox package, otherwise you will be still without VirtualBox until I do.
  13. If you are running a VM on the cache and maybe also torrenting (like i am) then the cache is constantly being written to.
  14. I would add the 3rd SSD to the Cache Pool and put everything on the cache. The added power is only 3-4 Watts - 2 SSDs constantly writing (35kWh/year @$0.12 is only $4.2 a year)
  15. You need to install a webserver and phpvirtualbox.
  16. I specifically added a plain text output of the drive configuration by request.
  17. You can try using my ServerLayout plugin http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40223.0
  18. I have done (and am doing) it. It is a bit complicated since unRAID v6. You have to make a real USB drive (same as you will for regular unRAID) and pass it through to the virtual Machine. BUT !!!! ... In addition you need to create a VDI disk which will be mounted as an IDE drive (master) and will be identical to the USB drive. unRAID will start booting off of the IDE drive - there is no way of USB booting in Virtualbox - and then once the operating system is copied into RAM it will continue to load from the USB drive that you passed-through. If in the future you need to upgrade the unRAID OS you will need to change the files on the IDE drive. BUT !!! .... all the unRAID settings, ie: plugins, logs, etc... will be located on the USB drive. You will be able to run it for only 2 months with the test license.
  19. Try running swapoff on this swapfile and then swapon again.
  20. I have been running virtualbox for the past few 5 years (at least) and have not had it crash the webUI. I did have segfaults due to lack of memory. I am not running any Dockers. Your problem seems to be reappearing in the forum and might be due to docker issues. do you get the problem when running without Virtualbox? do you get the problem when running without Dockers?
  21. Have a look at the Unassigned Devices plugin. How does solve his drag-and-drop issue?
  22. I have compiled VirtualBox 5.0.14 compiled for new unRAID v6.1.8. Please wait for lainie to upload to download server.
