  1. It is possible to add a cooling fan to the 71605. Fan has to be plugged into the motherboard or a hub. Just an option. Scroll down to Dec 2021 for the relevant section https://forums.serverbuilds.net/t/official-adaptec-asr-series-sas-hba-overview/9033/30?page=2
  2. https://www.ebay.com/str/theartofserver Reputable seller dealing with server pulls that get updated and tested. Very hardware knowledgeable also.
  3. Side note. Unless they recently stopped, Amazon 'commingles' items shipped and sold by amazon with stuff shipped by amazon and sold by whomever chooses to participate in the commingling program. So you may have bought something labeled as shipped and sold by amazon and gotten something else entirely. https://www.sourcing-monster.com/amazon-commingled-inventory/ Only leaving one link - google it, you'll find plenty.
  4. Some good info to go through here.
  5. Description and pictures for active cooling. Keeps the cards about room temp. https://hardforum.com/threads/cooling-suggestions-for-lsi-sas-card-lsi-9207-8i.1957715/
  6. https://hub.docker.com/r/kyokuheki/falcon-sensor This what you are thinking of?
  7. That same board is available at newegg. There are some supermicro X12SAE boards out there that might do the trick for you. New and used.
  8. Not a pretty mod but will should keep that card cool for you. Keep in mind most of these cards are designed for a low profile server chassis with lots of airflow so you may have to flex a little to keep it from overheating.
  9. I have 3 rosewil 4 in 3s. One of them was damaged in my move to Texas. 2 clips on one side. Gonna snag some superglue to see if it'll work some magic. $40 each plus shipping (whatever your choice for shipping, I normally use a UPS store down the way) I have 2 icy dock 4 in 3s. Black Vortex units. Hard to find these now. $35 each plus shipping (as above, I'll ship stuff however you like) I have 7 Cooler Master 4 in 3s. $25 each plus shipping. To the best of my knowledge everything works. You will need your own screws but everything is present. Will be happy to test anything on request. I will test the Rosewils shortly regardless as they have sata ports, the others are just fans. Just cleaning out some old stock. I was gonna list an Antec 900 but I just snagged a 5950x system with an ugly case so it's gonna be transplanted.
  10. A very usable cooling solution for these cards. My no longer used ones still have fans on them. https://hardforum.com/threads/cooling-suggestions-for-lsi-sas-card-lsi-9207-8i.1957715/
  11. Do you have a kill-a-watt meter or a ups you can plug into and monitor? Maybe the Tasmota is bad.
  12. you should be able to set power limits in the bios. Worth looking into.
  13. Look for an option that is 'Halt On' with different options. Usually all errors or all errors but keyboards. Should be an option to not halt.
  14. https://www.amazon.com/Supermicro-6-Inch-16Pin-Control-CBL-0084L/dp/B000VUJYTW Is this what you are looking for?
  15. Those CPUs support ECC but ONLY if in a motherboard with a W680 chipset.
