  1. Also keep old disk5 intact, might be your best option to recover the data, assuming it's not completely dead.
  2. Yes, in the same slot, i.e., disk5, not disk6. From what I can see disk5 was formatted: Jun 23 10:25:02 Tower emhttpd: shcmd (101): mkfs.xfs -m crc=1,finobt=1 -f /dev/md5 So there won't be anything to rebuild, to confirm re-assign disk5 to disk6 slot and start the array, then post new diags.
  3. Looks to me more like the server is crashing, and when there's nothing logged it's usually hardware related, make sure the correct power supply idle control is set.
  4. You can if the disk is formatted by UD, then you's need to do a new config (tools -> new config) and re-sync parity, data in disks 1 and 2 would remain. Again yes if you do a new config first the re-sync parity. All existing top level folder would be shares, using the default settings.
  5. Not seeing anything related logged, did the server hang or you just lost LAN connectivity?
  6. When parity is installed Unraid will clear (wipe) any disk assigned to the array, if there's no parity no clearing will be done, but even in that case you'd only be able to use a disk previously formatted by Unraid or the UD plugin.
  7. Post this after the issue occurs.
  8. Not sure an LSI will detect optical drives, did you test with a disk? If yes first suspect would be the cables, they might be reverse breakout instead of forward breakout, also posting the diagnostics will help confirm the HBA is being initialized properly.
  9. There's some unallocated space and it should be enough.
  10. You can use this: https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Changing_The_Flash_Device#What_to_do_if_you_have_no_backup_and_do_not_know_your_disk_assignments
  11. That's enough if there's some unallocated space, if you want I can check if you post the diagnostics or just the output of: btrfs fi usage -T /mnt/cache
  12. You should post in the Nvidia plugin support thread.
  13. Though before starting you should free up some space, dangerous to run a COW filesystem so full.
  14. You can use this: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/?do=findComment&comment=480419
  15. Formatting is never part of replacing a disk, was there any data in the replaced disk? Also please post the diagnostics.
  16. Any shares that have data on a single device pool will appear as unprotected, since there's no redundancy, that's normal.
  17. Disk2 was added as a new disk to the array and it was cleared, that writes zeros to the disk, overwriting any data.
  18. FYI this will happen if Unraid is beyond the array redundancy, e..g, if you get errors on another disk with two parity drives but have already two disabled disks Unraid has no way of continuing the rebuild, so to not corrupt the disk (if it's a previous disk that is being rebuilt on top) it just skips ahead while there are multiple disk errors, hence the speed, it's just skipping, not actually writing anything.
  19. Please post current diagnostics.
  20. Log is being spammed with PCIe errors, so we can't see what happened, wait for the result of the long SMART test.
  21. Unrelated but your CPU is throttling due to overheating: Jun 22 15:59:52 ServRaid kernel: mce: CPU26: Core temperature is above threshold, cpu clock is throttled (total events = 78) Jun 22 16:00:00 ServRaid kernel: mce: CPU12: Core temperature is above threshold, cpu clock is throttled (total events = 78) Check/clean cooler.
  22. You can leave vt-d enabled with 10.3, release has been out for many days and no more issues about that reported.
  23. Best bet is to use the existing docker support thread/link:
