  1. See if you can wipe it clean with: blkdiscard /dev/nvme0n1 If command is successful try to format after that.
  2. System load average is very high, but nothing on top using CPU.
  3. Run make_bootable again, if that doesn't work see if it's booting on another PC, if not re-create it.
  4. Does the flash drive appear on the BIOS as a boot device?
  5. Yes, with an expander backplane you just need one HBA to access all drives.
  6. In that case I would go with 7 data + parity, ideally use the latest beta since it has a new alignment for SSDs that is better for performance and endurance, you should get at least 300MB/s reads for large files, possibly more.
  7. What model SSDs and what performance are you expecting? Note that array devices can't be trimmed and parity should be a faster device than the others, since it will be overworked, for example I use an NVMe device for parity.
  8. I don't see any format attempt on the diags posted.
  9. If it happens again post new diags, that fix should be unrelated to array stopping issues.
  10. Macvlan call traces are usually cause by dockers with a custom IP address, more info here, also issues with the NICs, but might be related since they start after the macvlan errors, also some out of memory errors.
  11. It can rebuild two drives if you have dual parity.
  12. I'm used to seeing these in several diags, so probably normal.
  13. Syslog is spammed with ACPI errors, see here for the fix, then reboot and post new diags.
  14. Please post the complete diags instead.
  15. Correct, respect max speeds mentioned here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-819173
  16. Issues in multiple disks at the same time: Sep 11 02:54:30 Tower kernel: sd 9:0:7:0: Power-on or device reset occurred Sep 11 02:54:32 Tower kernel: sd 9:0:5:0: Power-on or device reset occurred Sep 11 02:54:35 Tower kernel: sd 9:0:6:0: Power-on or device reset occurred This suggest a power/cable issue, also good idea to update the LSI firmware since it's on a very old release: LSISAS2008: FWVersion(07.15.08.00) Current one is 20.00.07.00.
  17. Diags are after rebooting, please post new ones after the error.
  18. Download the beta zip and extract all the bz* files to the flash drive overwriting existing ones.
  19. It's likely checking for trim support, WD SMR drives report they do, if that's true plugin could check if the drive is non rotational instead.
  20. Spin down command Unraid uses doesn't work on SAS devices.
  21. IIRC that means the NVDATA is not from LSI, older releases could still proceed and correct it, maybe p7? Check here: https://wiki.unraid.net/Crossflashing_Controllers
  22. Yeah, I like AMD and just recently bough my first AMD CPU since the Athlon 64X2, but wish AMD did the same as Intel for RAM speeds, i.e. 10th gen Core CPUs support up to 2933MHz, doesn't matter if you have one or all DIMMs slots used, Ryzen 3rd gen supports "up to" 3200Mhz, most users then don't know that max speed is based on number of DIMMs/ranks used.
