  1. I too am having the same problem when trying to create a delugevpn container as well. im going to need more info than this guys, what errors are you seeing if any?, screenshots of what your seeing would be great. I personally get no errors, infact I get nothing at all. I click create, but nothing happens. It's like the link is broken/dead. I have same issue. No problem for other containers. I let it wait for like an hour after clicking create button. Nothing happens. Any solution? I as well let it sit for over an hour. Nothing. hi guys, just for my own peace of mind i deleted my running container and image and pulled down delugevpn twice in succession with no issues, the image pulls down and the container is created so not sure what is going on here. ok lets try and get some more detail on this, everybody with this issue please reply to the following questions:- 1. when you click the create button does ANYTHING happen?, as in a box, a window, a text box, or are you saying its as if you didnt click on the "create" button at all?. 2. how full is your docker image file, it could be the case the image file is full in which case you cannot download an further images until this is fixed. 3. if you ssh into unraid and do a ping to www.google.com can you get a reply?, this just proves name resolution is functional. 4. can you tell me what version of unraid your running. 5. have you ever been able to pull down delugevpn before or is this the first attempt?. 6. are you using the unraid "Community Applications" plugin to pull down the delugevpn image?. If all else fails can you try stopping docker completly, delete the docker image and re-pull down the images again, please note you still can use your defined container settings, these are in the "[ templates-user ]" dropdown when you click on "Add Container" button. Hello! 1.) It's like I never clicked it. 2.) I'd love to tell you, how do I check!? Is this it? Docker volume info btrfs filesystem show: Label: none uuid: c26ba06a-73b2-4c1f-b5e3-00e88824ac3a Total devices 1 FS bytes used 4.85GiB devid 1 size 10.00GiB used 7.79GiB path /dev/loop0 btrfs-progs v4.1.2 btrfs scrub status: scrub status for c26ba06a-73b2-4c1f-b5e3-00e88824ac3a no stats available total bytes scrubbed: 0.00B with 0 errors 3.) --- www.google.com ping statistics --- 15 packets transmitted, 15 received, 0% packet loss, time 14019ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 8.364/9.980/18.681/2.423 ms 4.) unRAID 6.1.3 5.) I can't remember, but I think, and that's a big maybe, I pulled it before. I know for sure I pulled and installed Deluge then removed. (Whichever one it was I removed it via the Remove function from the unRAID dashboard and selected remove container and image) 6.) Yes Let me know if there's anything else I can help with for troubleshooting.
  2. I don't know if I'm doing it right, but I have port forwarding setup on my router to push external requests to my server's internal IP via port 3000. Seems to be working. Curious if it's secure, or if there's a better way? Second, I noticed something tonight. As I'm setting up, or atleast trying to figure out how to setup Couchpotato w/passthepopcorn, Sonar w/Broadcasthenet, Transmission and some sort of VPN to my Torguard account (Lots of frustration there), I'm using Plex requests with my users to basically make a backlist of "things" to get. Three Issues: As I have to download manually until I can figure out how to set up the above mentioned, Plex requests doesn't recognize the manually added media now in my library, therefore it doesn't show the request has been filled. Furthermore PLEX Requests is allowing my users to request media that's in my libraries already. Lastly, the request list has grown pretty long, and while browsing today, I can't see all of it. It's like it's on another page, but I don't have a next page button? I may just be missing something. Thanks! Oh, and thanks for a sweet container!

  4. Thank you, I believe this is the exact information I was looking for.
  5. Ah. I know what you're referring to, as I've seen that before. This is a little different. If I'm correct the bug you're referring to, usually you'll see at the least a blank window open, which shows none of the running install processes. I see that a lot on my server. However in this instance I won't even see the blank installation window. I will take your lead and atleast click create, then let it sit. I have a 50Mbps connection, so I'll give it 30 minutes or so.

  7. I have one Disk, Disk7, with multiple folders in the root of the drive. Once I set The Global setting "Enable Disk Shares" to yes, all root directories of Disk7 now have been created as user shares. The only shares I used to have listed were <Cache> | <Disk1-13> | & Specific Shares I had created on disks 1-3. Again, now every folder on the root of each disk has become a user share, as well as my Disks themselves the cache drive, and the defined share I had made on disk 1-3. Is there anyway to turn off the automatic creation of a user share on the top level folders of a disk?
  8. Hi trurl, Thanks for the reply. Yes I have been using various torrent applications through the years, hence the VM I have been running as my download box. You are correct that I'm probably getting things very mixed up as I have zero experience with Usenet binaries and newsservers, and implementing this all on unRAID. I understand unRAID forums might be more focused in setting these applications up to work within the docker containers, and that's mainly what I'm after, is really setting them up. Really the main question I need help answering is setting up the VPN tunnel connection between my downloader in unRAID and my TorGuard account. I'm sure I can figure out the rest. Is it even possible to use TorGuard with any of the VPN ready dockers, (DelugeVPN, NZBGetVPN)? Thanks for pointing out about the disk shares. I swear I've looked at the global settings a hundred times now, but it never registered being on Auto until you pointed it out now. I am aware of the Share Copy Bug, but Honestly, I've never had an issue with it. I've always used File explorer with SMB just to quickly browse drives, and use Telnet + Screen for my actual Copy & Move functions between disks. Question though. Now that's I've set disk shares to all, it's sharing out all sub folders per disk. It used to be it would only share the root drive, and the shares I specifically set up. Do I now have to manually configure each sub folder's sharing properties on a disk if I don't want the subfolder visible outside of the disk itself through SMB? Thanks again.

  10. I'm almost ashamed to be asking for help, as I feel I'm am more than capable of getting this done. Recently time has become more of a priority to me, and I've learned there are just somethings I need to rely on others and their expertise for. Believe me I'm no stranger to the search function, but after spending two whole evenings trying to research how to get this done while not killing my server, I'm still at square one with no answers... It's a bit frustrating. With close to a half million posts in the forum, even the best worded search brings back so many results it's impossible to find the answer efficiently. So here's what I'm after: With Plex media server running on my unRAID server I've added Plex Request. Within this I've noticed there are features for Couchpotato, and Sonar which I would like to implement on my server for automatic downloading, and organization of media, base off requests from my users. From what I understand, I also have to also install a torrent client like Deluge, Transmission, or NZBGet. From what I understand they work best with some sort of subscription based newsgroups? I would like to avoid having to buy more services however, if I must, then I will. In addition have an account with TorGuard and I would like to be able to use this VPN to continue to download with, as my ISP has very prying eyes. I have no idea how to configure these systems to work together on my server. Again, I know I can figure it out, but I can't justify the 1000's of dollars’ worth of billable time for my business I'd sacrifice, to try and piece together information scattered in the forums, and risk messing my server up something awful. I'm not asking for someone else to dump their time to save mine, but surely with how many post I see matching Key words like <Torrent> | <OPEN/VPN> | <COUCHPOTATO> | <SLICKRAGE> | <SONAR> | <TRANSMISSION> | <NBZGET> I know there's some real experts on here who can point me in the right directions. I'm just surprised there's no HowTo's on this... OR... Are there?? On a side note: Since I recently upgraded to the latest release of unRAID 6.1.3, I've noticed I can no longer see my disk shares, (including cache drives), for any drives that are included in a user share while browsing within explorer across my network. Is this a new setting somewhere? I thank you for your time, and really hope you can help a guy out.
  11. I was just getting ready to post a long winded message about how I would like to get Deluge / NZBGet / etc to work with my Torguard account as well, as I need to keep my traffic masked from my pesky ISP. I'm not sure how to set things up properly, so a quick run down how to, would be very appreciated. After this question is answered, I get to bang my head against the wall figuring out how to incorporate Couchpotato / Sonar with my plex request & my download client... I love unRIAD & it's community, but diving through 100's of thousands of posts for support is just so... frustrating. Especially when you barely have no time to look.. Hope we can get some help
  12. Just a quick update. I've now gone a couple weeks without my issue arising, causing me to go into troubleshooting. The only changes I had made: Updated unRAID to the latest build. Updated PLEX to the latest Build. I make sure whenever I'm done transferring media between my leech box and my unRAID server I <umount> the network drive. I make sure I, and all users full close out of PLEX every time I'm done streaming. Meaning I close the Chromecast connection, and fuly exit the App on my Android device(s). Everything seems t be functioning normally, and no lockups.
  13. As a past moderator for several forums, I can understand your frustration. Per my post however, I was merely indicating I've seen similar issues with my server while running PLEX in docker, under unRAID 6. As I also mentioned running a business leaves me with very little time to fully troubleshoot what may truly be the cause, I literally have only had time to get pissed off, and press the power button. I had originally suspected my hardware, which never had issues before, but after reading the thread I now turn my suspicions to PLEX. I merely wanted to contribute another user with a similar issue, and as I found time I would provide what information I could to help. If the issue should persist I will be forced into diagnostics, and contribute actual data to the thread.
  14. I am using Docker. I will try the command next time I see this happen, thanks. Not exactly sure why you're telling me to read the stickies, that's a lot of stickies.
  15. I thought I would add to this discussion. I too am experiencing unRIAD hangups, and I've been suspecting it's something with PLEX. I moved to 6.0.1 after being a long time user of unRAID v5 and never experiencing issues with the same hardware now on v6. The only difference now being the addition of PLEX. You're symptoms sound eerily similar to what I find. after about a week of the server running I'll go to browse my shares & physical drives only to find them unresponsive. Funny thing is ... PLEX still works. I can stream and browse like nothing's wrong. I only notice when I'm trying to access the drives & shares. I currently run PLEX on the unRAID server itself. I've been testing if these lockups are due to not fully exiting PLEX from the device I'm streaming from, but I'm really just at the beginning of troubleshooting. I run my own company, and it's hard to find time to spend on my own personal projects. I'm going to update to the newest release tonight in hope that my issues may resolve themselves, but I'm also going to watch this thread closely. I'm sorry I wish I had more information to help with, but as I discover more, hopefully I can contribute. I just wanted to let you know, you're not alone, and hopefully we can figure this out. On a side note: When my server locks up, I can't even shut down. I have to hard power down, not a comfortable feeling... -D
  16. I would like to reserve one of these with the 5240, with handles, pending your UNRAID testing is successful. Is that possible? Thanks!
  17. Just a quick update. Ran the correcting parity the night before, unRAID reported errors, and corrected them. Ran another correcting parity check, without changing drive Spin-Down, no errors reported. Appears my error are/were not of the same as OP. Hope you guys figure this out. -D
  18. Thanks for your replies. I will begin a correcting Parity Check tonight.
  19. Whether or not you are experiencing the same issue, it sounds as if you have not really been paying attention to whether or not your parity errors were zero in the past. The only correct answer for parity errors is zero, not some low number. If you don't have some real reason to believe parity is more correct than the data disks you should correct parity errors and then check again to make sure they were corrected. My Parity checks were always Zero, for the 3 years I've had my unRAID server running. It was only about 3-4 months ago I remember seeing errors, again I think it was 3, over and over. That being said, I know my data is not in a controlled environment, due to my lack of time to investigate and troubleshoot. I just found it ironic that I also now have 5 parity check errors, and I am willing to help troubleshoot if I as well may be seeing the same occurrence. I'm not sure I fully understand your reply. Are you saying I should set the monthly parity to correct errors? If so, what if hypothetically I have a failing disk and the parity corrects itself with incorrect data? (Again not sure if you were answering that question)
  20. I know it's been a while since this topic was posted to and thank you jonp for posting the plugin link. I just wanted to add in why I use Screen. Not only do I also use it for my preclear of multiple disks, but I also use it to mount and transfer VERY Large amounts of data between my unRAID and other servers on my local network. I may be going about it wrong, and perhaps another veteran of the forum can show me the errors in my ways. However, when I mount file systems direclty to my unRAID server and initiate local transfers through a screen session I get MUCH greater transfer speeds than trying to pass the data through a windows, or non-direct machine transfer, and of course I don't have to worry about timing out my session during transfer. It should be noted, as I'm sure someone will say "Initiate the transfer within the unRAID console, or your exporting server". - I run all my servers headless, and again, even if I RDP into my Local exporting server to initiate data transfer to my unRAID, I see much lower transfer speeds. Sorry to revive an old topic, I hate being that guy, but as I recently just upgraded from v5.0.3 to v6.0.1 I can't tell you how happy, and lucky I am to have found this thread, as I don't see the feature baked in yet for preclear, (Maybe I missed it...). I'm also glad I found it before I migrated versions. Thanks, -D
  21. Just thought I'd chime in. I recently upgraded my server to unRAID 6.0.1 and I also now receive 5 parity check errors. (I performed a Clean upgrade, meaning I backed up my v5.0.3 Flash, then reformatted, and loaded a fresh installation of unRAID v6.0.1) I vaguely remember getting errors in v5.0.3 but honestly I can't remember all the details and specifics, and sadly I didn't have much time to research it. (remember 3 being the magical number). I normally don't run correcting Parity Checks, (Is this something I should have enabled?). I do BELIEVE I ran correcting parity checks in v5.0.3 after I saw the 3 errors a couple times in a row, BUT I can't remember if I ran subsequent checks after to verify they had been corrected. (I know ... I'm just so much help..) Before I jump into too much detail I'll test out the solutions provided here with disable/re-enable parity Spin-Down, and report back. It's should be noted I used a much different HW configuration than the other posters, and my error sectors are completely different, and I've never checked/compared between Parity checks (This was my first with v6.0.1). My last Parity check was set to not correct the errors. Sector Errors from my syslog: Jul 1 01:55:37 unRAID kernel: md: parity incorrect, sector=1177606472 Jul 1 01:55:37 unRAID kernel: md: parity incorrect, sector=1177606480 Jul 1 01:55:37 unRAID kernel: md: parity incorrect, sector=1177606488 Jul 1 01:55:37 unRAID kernel: md: parity incorrect, sector=1177606496 Jul 1 01:55:37 unRAID kernel: md: parity incorrect, sector=1177606504 I'll start one tonight with error correcting. (Should I also disable the Parity drive Spin-Down? Or would we prefer to test variables one at a time controlled?). I'll report back my findings, I suspect I'll have the same results. I'll then run another Parity check, With or Without correcting? With or Without Spin-down on the Parity? Thanks, -D
  22. I wonder if it's worth querying the vendor to report a duplicate GUID. (just to see what they say). If I can find time tomorrow between running for parts to build my mining rig, I may just do this... I'll report back my findings. -D
  23. Sorry for my "newishness", but could someone please explain the benefit to this? Thanks, -D
  24. Mine too was direct from Amazon, and using prime. New in sealed hard plastic. -D
