  1. have a look at dual wan routers with 3G (4G) if you have 3g in the neighborhood and a unlimited subscription worked for me when i lived in Singapore now i use the same router to balance 2 ISp's if you need to go the wireless way.. ddr-wrt has some possibilities ... but not sure if it load balances or you can setup routing to the unraid specifically
  2. so 4 ports on the card and expandable to 122 with expanders / port multipliers Do you mean like these? http://www.addonics.com/products/host_controller/AD5HPMSXA.asp or http://www.addonics.com/products/host_controller/ad5sapm-e.asp Ok, how many drives on a port multiplier can 1 lane support without slowing down? I guess if the 4 ports share the 4 lanes then as long as they aren't all reading at once it would be fast enough. Yeah these are the commercial available cheap once ... Hp has portmulitplier cards that are going to much more ports but of course $$ http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13232_na/13232_na.pdf the br10i has same capabilities ... one BR10 i and a card like this will get you 28 extra ports see this article -> http://www.storageforum.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8012 no clue what the speed will go to .... but according the article is it keeping 2.4gbs of course you need x4 pcie slots even the AOC-SASLP-MV8 can use the expander card... so normally only one controller needed and a expander like this ... might save headache for people having difficulties for the mobo to recognize the second raid controller ... anyway no clue what these puppies cost and if unraid even works with them ...
  3. i know openssl is part of the SABNZB dependency package as i use it to connect secure to my usenet providers
  4. so 4 ports on the card and expandable to 122 with expanders / port multipliers
  5. google is your friend http://www.howtoforge.com/proftpd-tls-debian-etch from this article 3 Creating The SSL Certificate For TLS In order to use TLS, we must create an SSL certificate. I create it in /etc/proftpd/ssl, therefore I create that directory first: mkdir /etc/proftpd/ssl Afterwards, we can generate the SSL certificate as follows: openssl req -new -x509 -days 365 -nodes -out /etc/proftpd/ssl/proftpd.cert.pem -keyout /etc/proftpd/ssl/proftpd.key.pem Country Name (2 letter code) [AU]: <-- Enter your Country Name (e.g., "DE"). State or Province Name (full name) [some-State]: <-- Enter your State or Province Name. Locality Name (eg, city) []: <-- Enter your City. Organization Name (eg, company) [internet Widgits Pty Ltd]: <-- Enter your Organization Name (e.g., the name of your company). Organizational Unit Name (eg, section) []: <-- Enter your Organizational Unit Name (e.g. "IT Department"). Common Name (eg, YOUR name) []: <-- Enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the system (e.g. "server1.example.com"). Email Address []: <-- Enter your Email Address. only issue i see is that you would probably loose your certificates after a reboot .... so you better store the originals on your usb key somewhere and put a copy line into your go file at the end somewhere
  6. yeah laptop over wifi sorry forgot to mention
  7. next time he doesn't want to shutdown... telnet in and run this fuser -mv /mnt/disk* /mnt/user/* it will give you an idea what is preventing unraid to unmount the disks if it is something not important then you can do Kill -9 pid where pid is the nummer of the process that is keeping the disk busy hope this helps
  8. any dimension on that back fan ? i would remove the one tray above the back fan and if size is similar or same put a coolermaster 4 in 3 with fan and everything with very long bolts to the back fan opening .... you can secure the other side of the 4 in 3 if needed with a ziplock or a bolt to the side rail should be enough strong and i guess enough air will be blown out if you reverse the fan just my 2 cents

HI, i have a similar card and he is connected with a 2 males mini jack cable between the tvcard and my MIC entrance of the motherboard if it is the same card as on the picture then under the coax connector there is a little hole where a male mini jack fits into ... so you only need to search for a 2 sided stereo male mini jack cable
