Speeding_ant and what about the promise to make SF features work with the new GUI ? i hate missing my scheduled parity checks... smart logs and the simple page refresh from SF .... if we don't get that then forget about the new gui and please upgrade SF again ... at least then we get somewhere... been a month and nothing is changed on this ... there are at least a few bugs already found in the new gui... Maybe Tom better fires Tom 2 and hires a web guy if he wants to have more revenue from Unraid... making bla bla doesn't sell servers... a nice good working GUI will .. if it can stand up against the other NAS out there... because face it .. the masses are afraid of the command line .. they will venture into something if it has a nice GUI...

There are issue with SF too on this release... no totals formatting of the screen is wrong no access to content from the gui.... we just need to be patient till speeding ant finds the time to update everything....

are we supposed to run this with all our plugins running or on a clean unraid install, aka safe mode?

I ran into similar issue a while back running cachedirs verbose tells you which disk is holding up the process what i did is move a bunch of music mp3's to a disk which was only holding big files and that also solved the issue i also once had some small filesystem error keeping cachedirs busy... i only realized once i did a parity check and the disk gave like 3 errors run reiserfsck solved that at that time

mine is running 6 days without issues.... is running monthly parity check ... pity i had to start that manually since sf plugins are not working any more

and if somebody could lign up the columns... looks not very professional like the columns are all over the place between bootdisk / cache and array...

Hi Joe I found the culprit i put a -e for the sabnzbd and utorrent and sickbeard program folder and now we are seeing seconds returns no real need to keep those in memory i guess ... especially the utorrent one gonna see now a bit if the sickbeard page with the banners is slow or not seems to be OK ... anyway THX for the help disks are spinning down much more now

Joe any way to include killing the different find threads when you do a cache-dirs -q ? now when you stop cache dirs the find threads go on for sometimes like 15 minutes.. depending in which dir they are... if we can kill these finds then we can stop the array quicker ? or is there something i don't know that makes it dangerous to kill those finds ? hi, have a strange issue an not sure how to solve it virtualbox makes a dir under /root called virtualbox vms he puts in there the vbox files so when i reboot i lose the vm's not sure why this happens the normal vbox dir is /mnt/cache/vbox the linked virtualbox in root links to that folder so am a bit at a loss why this happens

Theone, Lainie i have been looking around for another management app then phpvirtualbox but i can't seem to find one i rather would not want to install an extra webserver on my unraid so i was looking for something like vsphere client for vmware .... i searched google but there seems to be nothing different out there that can manage and make guests on virtualbox any apps you guys know about ?

hi Greg had any time to make that package ? would be interested in this too to start my unraid when the kid is using plex from all other boxes i installed the wol xbmc addon as we most of the time use xbmc but the kid likes plex more

You have a similar board to me, I have the p5q pro, managed to get into the lsi bios by going into the main bios and disabling the marvel ide boot rom. Yours is probably the same, try that... Have same issue have a P5B Plus ... going to check on that next reboot I tried Brit's thing by removing all cards from the mobo but that didn't help i can enter the adaptec and my other cards bios's just not the BR10i it doesn't really bother me .. it would only save a little time at boot as far as i understand if you disable int13? anyway next reboot i check for disabling ide ... although i can't remember seeing this... i have a jbm363 onboard but using that for my cache drive .... will try disabling and see if i can get in ...

what case is this ? seems a weird one.. but maybe usable for a double row of standing up disks is it is high enough ? move the vent midplane a bit to the back and it should be managable...

I have same issue on a Asus P5b -Plus Vista edition i upgraded he bios and firmware successfully with a bootable usb stick but still can't enter the BR10 BIOS same error as you i have seen some other message come up before it continues to boot but till now was never quick enough to catch it I assume that our nvram is not big enough to load the bios .... not sure though I see prostuff regularly say to disable interrupt 19 on system boards .... i know i can disable things in irg .... but what does this irq 19 do ?

Ok Solved it by making a bootable USb as the guy on page 4 did http://www.biosflash.com/e/bios-boot-usb-stick.htm just use the hp tool ... choose the bootimage ... format make a flash folder ... copy paste sasflash-86.exe . the firmware you want and the bios.rom boot from usb.... cd flash... and run the update line .... problem solved

I read the whole thread .... but i can't see why i really should upgrade it .... if it is working it should be OK not ? linux version of the flash program... if i need to flash it to IT then i would like to do it from unraid
