  1. Agreed, I have started down this path a few times and I keep getting stuck. It would be great if there was a gui to import OVA into KVM
  2. I haven't noticed any issues, and I love how fast the page loads. Thank you!
  3. if you get that figured out, I think it could be useful
  4. Sorry, I was thinking if your files were huge maybe that could cause a problem. But they are smaller than mine so that shouldn't be it.
  5. How large are your logs? I am logging from two remote sources and haven't had to restart anything -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users 14349976 Feb 22 17:12 syslog-192.168.10.1.log -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users 169062 Feb 22 17:13 syslog-192.168.10.188.log Although I do need to look into logging less from my router
  6. Unraid's log is still in /var/log/syslog . If you also want it in the new log folder you can set Unraid up as it's own remote syslog server. Just put your Unraid IP in the "Remote syslog server" area.
  7. Go to Settings -> Syslog Server, enable the Local Syslog Server and set a port and a folder to store the data in. Then give your router the IP of Unraid and port you specified. Go to Tools -> System Log and there is a new dropdown where you can specify which log file you want to look at. Or you can access the files directly in the folder you specified.
  8. Also, which theme are you using? Just trying to get enough info to reproduce
  9. I would let Unraid bypass pihole and talk directly to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). If you search the forums there are a lot of issues that are solved by taking pihole out of the equation. And Google's DNS are known to work.
  10. Thank you @gfjardimand @bonienl ! I was pretty sure there was a solution for this but I couldn't find it. Thanks for implementing this @olehj, it looks good: Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: plugin: installing: /boot/config/plugins/disklocation-master.plg Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: plugin: skipping: smartmontools-7.0-x86_64-1.txz - Unraid version too high, requires at most version 6.6.6 Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: plugin: skipping: git-2.14.5-x86_64-1_slack14.2.txz - Unraid version too high, requires at most version 6.6.6 Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: plugin: creating: /tmp/disklocation-install - from INLINE content Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: plugin: running: /tmp/disklocation-install Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: Feb 10 09:33:25 Tower root: Installing plugin... But I don't know how likely that is.
  11. thanks for that, having the wide blocks together in the same column does look nicer.
  12. Unraid as a client is not officially supported, but Unraid as a host needs to be able to pass disks to whatever the client is. And once the host releases the disk so it is no longer visible under /dev/, it seems like it should be removed from the dashboard the way it is removed from the UD tab.
  13. It looks strange to me, but ok. When you say "make the first column longer", do you mean I should delete some shares? Here is a slightly different view, shouldn't "Users" slide left too? (it doesn't matter whether Users is open or closed, it stays on the right)
  14. I'm going to uninstall this from my 6.7 systems then, I don't want to deal with downgrades messing up something in Unraid.
  15. hmm... looks like it is a "feature": @bonienl , is there a way that @olehj can modify this section of his plugin so that it won't run on 6.7 ? <FILE Name="/boot/packages/&gittools;" Run="upgradepkg --install-new"> <URL>http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/slackware64-14.2/patches/packages/&gittools;</URL> <MD5>&gittoolsMD5;</MD5> </FILE>
  16. I installed this on Unraid 6.7.0-rc3, which includes git version 2.20.1 by default. During the install process, it looks like the plugin "upgrades" to git 2.14.5. Can you update the version of git distributed with this plugin? Thanks! 17. The syslog server in 6.7.0-rc3 works great! As an extension to this feature request, could we somehow leverage the /Tools/Syslog viewer to view files saved by the the syslog server?
  18. Drive "sdg" in my system is a flash drive that is used by an Unraid VM. When the VM is stopped, the device is listed in /dev: and shown by UD: When the VM is started, the device is no longer listed here: Nor is it shown by UD. However, regardless of whether the VM is stopped or started, it is shown on the dashboard: Including a link to interact with the drive: /Dashboard/New?name=sdg All this to say... once the device is claimed by the VM, can it be removed from the dashboard? This would be consistent with what is displayed on the UD tab. The attached diags are from after the VM is started (removed)
  19. (I installed 6.7.0-rc3 on my main server which has more going on than my VM) On the dashboard, it looks like there is a narrow column and a wide column. If you have a large number of shares, it pushes the wide Parity/Array/Cache block down the page and then adds it to the left colum, where it does not fit. Since it is a "wide" block, it should always stay in the right column. This screenshot is from Chrome, maximized on my 1920x1080 laptop.
  20. If I set the plugin to display battery or voltage, there is a broken image in the footer: I think it is because this file: https://github.com/dmacias72/IPMI-unRAID/blob/master/source/ipmi/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ipmi/include/ipmi_temp.php has a few icon references: src='/plugins/ipmi/icons/mb.png' src='/plugins/ipmi/icons/cpu.png' that need to be converted to fa font icons since the images were removed from the plugin.
  21. Hey that worked! To complicate things further, I also have this 8 drive external case https://www.pc-pitstop.com/sata_enclosures/scsat84xt.asp any thoughts on having columns of 3, 5, and 8 drives? I'll probably add a second 8 drive case in the future to max out the LSI 9201-16e card. update... actually I can add the 5 and 3 together and have two columns of 8. That will work. Oh you're right! Does the plugin install the package only when needed?
