  1. So I've done a little bit more research for AMD side of things. 2950x for Threadripper PCI lanes. 3950x for Gaming speeds but lacks PCI lanes. Going to be looking into Intel next.
  2. Hey everyone, I wanted to build a new UnRaid server with just VM's with GPU passed through. I would like to have 3 different VM's running at all times. (Windows, Linux, and Mac OS) I don't plan to use them all at once as I will be using a KVM switch for it. Though at times I might want to run 3 Windows VM for very light gaming. (Minecraft and Terriara type games... to play with my niece and nephew) or just 1 Windows VM for heavier gaming by myself. I already have had an UnRaid server up and running for the last few years with VM's etc. That will just become my data and Docker server from now on. My question is what CPU/MOBO should I buy just for VM build? I've looked at 3900x or 3950x but the PCI lanes concern me. Is that something I should worry about? Any suggestions on a processor I should get? I'm willing to go up to 3950x price levels. Thanks!!
  3. @bastl From my understanding this is a bit different since it is already running in the Docker as a reachable through VNC OSX install. I don't know what variables etc... to give it so that I can VNC into it. I'm stuck at KVM values.
  4. Hey everyone, I found this amazing docker https://github.com/sickcodes/Docker-OSX and I would love to use it on my Unraid server. I would like to keep all my jailbreaking stuff in it. (Don't like having that software on my macbook.) Does anyone know how to install it correctly? I get this error: Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused Could not access KVM kernel module: No such file or directory qemu-system-x86_64: failed to initialize kvm: No such file or directory Thanks!
  5. Has anyone seen this: https://github.com/sickcodes/Docker-OSX. Seems like it would be an interesting docker to get working!
  6. Hey everyone, I'm planning on building a VM only UnRaid Server. I know I can use linux etc... but UnRaid is just a lot easier for me! So with that in mind how many cores and ram should be left over for UnRaid to still run smoothly enough not to break anything? Thanks!!
  7. No worries! I'll try to make it a little bit more clear. So in Terraria when you search for a server you enter the IP address of that server and then the port number. The first screen you enter the IP address of the server. (In my case the web site I have the docker forwarded to.) In the next screen you enter the port number of server. (I used my dockers port number. This might be the issue.) The last screen translate the website address to an IP address. This sometimes translate to my servers IP address sometimes it translates it to the my website hosts provider IP address. So I think part of it is that I should be forwarding my port on my router. The second part I don't understand why IP switches at times to NameCheap vs my servers IP. Also, thank you for all you have done. This docker is my favorite by far!!
  8. I have a "dumb" question. I have a Terraria docker setup for my niece and nephew to use. I used NPM to pass the ip and port to a specific web page. http://terraria.randomwebpage.com When I use Terraria to log in and put the web address in it shows the correct Ip for my server but I can't connect. I assumed that this would allow me not to have to port forward anything on my router as NPM would handle that. Am I wrong? Update: After more testing... once in a while it starts giving me NameCheaps (my provider - 192.64.119.194) IP address instead of my own servers IP address. Any idea why??
  9. I have a question about using another device that has Wireguard running and my unRaid server. Ideally, I would have my unRaid server be one hub and then multiple raspberry pi 4's as other hubs. Do you guys think that would be possible? Thanks!
  10. All of a sudden I can't access my container anymore. I get the error below and don't have web access to the docker anymore. 11. Hey guys, A random question. Could I use wireguard as a remote tunnel access for a whole network instead of just 1 client? Anyone done this?
  12. Nope. Only through NPM. Only certain docker's as well. It's a strange one! Regardless, thank you for making this! It is freaking amazing!
  13. I'm new to this so please ignore my ignorance... but why this over pi-hole?
  14. Hey guys, I love this Docker. I have an issue where some of my sites take a long time to load vs others. For example I have a Ghost Blog going and that can take up to 4 minutes and several reloads for the page to finally load. While others like Ombi are quick to be served. Any ideas? Thanks for this btw... it is amazin!
  15. Why not passthrough a usb controller for each one? One usb 3.0 should be enough for everything you might add?
  16. I like the flexibility of an all in one NAS system. Better VLAN support. Dumb it down for us!
  17. Can you only have one connection to a peer at a time? Would I have to make a new peer for every device?
  18. Random question. I would like to have two different Wireguard connections that I can connect to. One that has PIA (I know I'm going to change soon.) always on. So when I connect to Wireguard instance I also get my PIA address out of the network. The other one is just direct to my network with all traffic coming out of my home IP. They both would have full access to my home network. Is that something that would be possible?
  19. Yes, but do we have to wait till 6.10 or 6.8. I know they will do what is best but for UnRaid in the long term so I just want to know if I should spin up a vm or not.
  20. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing. I think it's for the best to move forward like this. I know you mentioned that new features will be in 6.10 does that also include Wireguard? Thanks!
  21. Extensions are working!! Now if I could somehow figure out how to have a live server session show up or running a server. Might have to do some other way.
  22. I'm an idiot figured it out! Just incase anyone else is going through this same issue. I had the website as HTTP not HTTPS on the first setup page. Changed it to HTTPS and now it works.
