  1. First, thank you. Secondly, I would like to point out that this file is now at /boot/config/go
  2. @Fma965 "letsencrypt" doesn't seem to be available in the unraid app store?
  3. Can't seem to find this in the app store. I'm guessing this app no longer exists? @SpaceInvaderOne
  4. Is anyone familiar with this enclosure (Lenovo EMC PX12-440R). Looks like it runs some kind of custom web interface that supports NFS shares? Basically I'm just looking to add extra storage to my existing unraid box, NFS shares work fine, I already have a raspi running some NFS shares. The manual isn't super clear. For $200, it seems like a good price to add storage. I already have drives. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294722432251?hash=item449ed36cfb:g:QZAAAOSwia5hu81k#shpCntId
  5. Can anyone explain how to install a container from Docker Hub? Specifically, https://hub.docker.com/r/presearch/node I've tried to do it manually but the link to the docker hub page doesn't work for the repository. Sorry for being such a newb, this is my first attempt at installing directly from docker hub.
  6. I would have bought this if I was in Europe... https://www.logic-case.com/products/rackmount-chassis/4u/4u-server-case-w-24x-35-hot-swappable-satasas-drive-bays-12gbs-hd-minisas-sc-4824/ Whatever you decide on, make sure you get 120 mm fans so the noise isn't loud. Supermicro chassis sound like airplanes during takeoff... I have an SC 846 for reference. Loud AF.
  7. Ah yes, I see that now. Thank you. I wish the ATX board had two x4 M.2 slots. I like the internal USB port but I can just get a header for that and I like the 6x fan connectors, the mATX only has three but I can just use splitters right?
  8. I've found that the Sata SSDs are not enough for my VM's, I'm moving to NVME SSD's. NVME SSDs read/write in the thousands of MB/s while Sata SSDs are in the mid 500's. Food for thought.
  9. Hi, thanks for the reply. I looked at the B350 Pro 4 and I kinda liked it, especially the different video ports makes it more compatible with my server KVMs. But, it only supports 64MB RAM max, I'd really like to have 128MB so I'm going to stick with the C246M-WU4 for now.
  10. I'm going to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, RAM. The intent is to add M.2 support to the motherboard since I feel my Sata SSD drives are too slow for VMs (both SSD's speed test just lower than 300 MB/s using DiskSpeed app). I was hoping some of you familiar with SuperMicro chassis could look this over and make sure I'm not missing anything. Concerns I have: - Will the fans be ok. Current setup has five case fans plugged into the motherboard and no CPU fans. New setup will have same fans plus CPU fan. New motherboard has 6 fan headers, although one is labeled "CPU_OPT" which is supposedly for a water cooler. Seems like putting a fan on it will work. Seems like I may need some fan wire extenders? - Will the power supply connection be ok. The current motherboard has a 20 pin and 2x 8 pin connections. The new motherboard seems to need the 20 pin, a 8 pin and a 4 pin. There is an unused 4 pin power connection from the power supply so I think this will be fine? Why this motherboard? - Has an internal USB port (for the boot drive) - Supports M.2 NVME (one at 4x, one at 2x) - Supports 1 16x PCIe or 2 8x PCIe cards - Supports 128 GB memory (for VMs) - Supports ECC memory (but doesn't seem to be any available...) Why this CPU? - Could go with a 9900K but it uses more power. Storage speed has been the bottlenecks so far in my opinion, I don't think a 10th/11th gen CPU is needed? Old Motherboard: SuperMicro X9DR3-F New Motherboard: Gigabyte C246-WU4 Old RAM: SK Hynix HMT151R7BFR4C DDR3 4GB modules (15 chips for 60 GB/was 16, 1 went bad) New RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-2666 32GB Modules (4 chips for 128 GB) Old CPU: Intel E5-2620 v2 (2 CPUs) 6 Cores 12 Threads New CPU: Intel i9-9900 8 Core 16 Threads New Drives: Samsung 980 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME (2 ea.) Existing Case: SuperMicro SC846BE16-R920B Existing PSU: SuperMicro PWS-920P-1R (2 ea.) Existing Backplane: SuperMicro BPN-SAS2-846EL1 Existing HBA: LSI 9211-4i (probably upgrading to LSI 9211-8i for more PCIe lanes/bandwidth) Existing HBA cable: SuperMicro CBL-0108L-02 (SFF-8087 on both ends) Existing Case Fans: SuperMicro 80mm with 4 pin connector (5 ea) Existing Drives: 24x HDD in hot swap bays (connected via Raid card); 2x SATA SSD in internal brackets (connected via SATA cables) Thanks for reading.
  11. Thanks for the help! Looks like the easy answer is to install a LSI 9211-8i and I will double my PCIe 2.0 lanes from 4 to 8, which will double my PCIe bandwidth from 2GB/s to 4GB/s?
  12. I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard and HBA card, and want to ensure I'm picking a good one. Currently I seem to have a bandwidth bottleneck somewhere since during a parity rebuild, I get about 1.5 Gb/s total thru put. I have an LSI 9211-4i card (4 PCIe 2.0 lanes) which is connected to the backplane via a SuperMicro "CBL-0108L-02" SFF8087 to SFF8087 cable. The backplane is a SuperMicro BPN-SAS2-846EL1. All of this hardware is supposed to support 6 Gb/s, so is the bottleneck the 4 PCIe 2.0 lanes? The 4 PCIe 2.0 lanes should be 2 Gb/s? I'm also looking to get a new case and it comes with a 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA expander backplane. So it seems I will need a motherboard that has PCIe 4.0 8 lane. Is there even an affordable HBA that is PCIe 4.0 8 lane? If that's not really worth it, should I just go with the 6 Gb/s backplane? Thanks.
  13. Sounds like an unplugged power supply to me.
  14. it was, in fact, an incorrect username. for some reason i used a different username for the samba share than the ssh user. anyways, all sorted and thank you. also i was able to use the IP address.
  15. Hello, I'm trying to mount a remote SMB share but it won't mount. I've seen some people saying to use the IP address vs the hostname, but I don't even see where that can be edited. From the system log: Sep 12 06:16:54 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount SMB share '//DIETPI/sda2' using SMB default protocol. Sep 12 06:16:54 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount SMB command: /sbin/mount -t 'cifs' -o rw,noserverino,nounix,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,uid=99,gid=100,credentials='/tmp/unassigned.devices/credentials_sda2' '//DIETPI/sda2' '/mnt/remotes/DIETPI_sda2' Sep 12 06:16:54 Tower kernel: CIFS: Attempting to mount //DIETPI/sda2 Sep 12 06:16:54 Tower kernel: CIFS: VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -13 Sep 12 06:16:54 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount of '//DIETPI/sda2' failed: 'mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log messages (dmesg) '. I have verified that the mount point exists and I made the DIETPI_sda2 folder myself and ensure it was 777 just like the unassigned device folders in the disks mount point. root@Tower:/mnt/remotes# ls -la total 0 drwxrwxrwt 3 nobody users 60 Sep 12 22:16 ./ drwxr-xr-x 26 root root 520 Sep 11 12:41 ../ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 40 Sep 12 22:16 DIETPI_sda2/ root@Tower:/mnt/remotes# I am running unRaid 6.9.2 and UD 2021.08.28
  16. Maybe? But there is no setting for a PLEX_CLAIM token? How do I do it?
  17. I keep getting "Not Authorized" error when I try to install a new (second) instance of plex (using the linuxserver repo). My main server works fine. Anyone know how to solve this?
  18. Oh. My. God. thank you. I've been running a script manually for years to chmod the folders to 777 and the files to 666 to fix this issue. I added this variable and works great. Thanks!!!!
  19. Thanks Squid.
  20. All the scripts are chmod to 600 which prevents them from being run. Additionally, running the command "chmod 700 script" has no effect but also generates no error.
  21. First post, weee. Any idea why I'm getting this error. The folder does exist. ERROR: backup /mnt/user/Private/ localhost/ - Source directory \ "/mnt/user/Private/" doesn't exist
  22. I am having the same issue. Seems like it is something that will never get implemented.
  23. I'm not sure what I did to fix it but I was able to get it working again. I removed the app and the appdata, re-installed, still had problem, removed, tried new distro, still had problem, tried other torrent appz but they didnt fit my needs, and in desperation, re-installed original app again and it worked magically...
  24. Typically, yes. But in this case, nothing happens when I force recheck.
