also um das mal klar zu stellen, so wie es scheint kriegen immer mehr leute probleme mit macvlan (also abstürzen) und das schon seit einigen jahren / versionen, also die frage ist nicht mehr ob du umstellen sollst, du musst, früher oder später mein unraid lief fast 10 jahre mit macvlan ohne abstürze, aber seit 6.12 gings los und irgendwann musst du ja updaten, also... stell um.

ich glaub das war wieso ich auf macvlan damals gewechselt habe, irgendwas kann net auf irgendwas zugreifen aus sicherheitsgründen (ich hasse sowas ich mein fi euch, ich entscheide selber wer auf was zugreift) aber lässt sich wohl net ändern. das wegen hatte ich auch mit den individuellen netzwerken angefangen, alle meine docker (wo es nötig ist) sind jetzt in einem netzwerk du machst einfach bei jedem docker bei extra parameters --network=name und tust alle docker untereinander nur mit namen ansprechen also zb statt ip:1234 machst du dockername:1234 außerdem guck mal bei den docker optionen ich hab da noch das an das irgendwas auf irgendwas zu greifen darf und die netzwerke nach nem neustart noch funktionieren..

seh grad das plex is bridge is, jedenfalls zeigt die fritzbox keine docker an, was mir auch egal wäre. da die fritzbox sowieso das krankeste und dümmste interface dieser welt hat, schau ich da sowieso nicht. pihole is aber br0 und funktioniert auch, braucht aber halt kein port forward... jetzt fällt es mir wieder ein, jeder docker eine ip hab ich vor langer zeit aufgegeben und dann hab ich mit eigenen networks angefangen... *klopft auf holz* bisher seh ich nichts was nicht geht

auch ich besitze eine fritz box sonst hätte ich mich hier nicht eingemischt. Mir ist bisher nichts aufgefallen. zB. Plex hat ja ne eigene ip, mit weiterleitung. Einzige Probleme waren die crashs mit ipvland UND macvlan, aber seit 6.12.2, bisher nichts.

Ich hab mir jetzt nicht alles durchgelesen, möchte aber zu bedenken geben das ich crashe NUR mit macvlan hatte und deshalb zu ipvlan gewechselt bin (wie empfohlen) https://forums.unraid.net/bug-reports/stable-releases/since-612-hard-freezes-cought-a-call-trace-r2518/

Coulnt the plugin devs include something a "pause" script would need to do provide? Like, if you wanna disable my plugin -> if pause killall -9 nicescriopt.php

I wrote one of the guys, didnt got a feedback, so i tried something new. I changed the unmanic workflow to the following: What i changed was AAC instead of AC3 and i remux (change format to .mp4) and then encode to 265. Im currently converting 70tb of stuff to this format. All movies i tested so far work now in ORIGINAL QUALITY and even in TRANSCODE via NVIDIA. Before it was JUST encode to 265 and output mkv.

this nearly happend to me, so i was typing rm -rf and was tabbing for directories and i had a lag so i nearly removed /something/ instead of /something/something... since then i always tripple check before pressing enter (usually i like to quene my commands becaus ei can type faster then the pc, but not with rm rf ;))

Ive noticed something today. I think the black screen in orignal quality is a new thing (might be newest chrome or plex) - so that might be temporary. Then i found out transcode is almost ALWAYS working. Just only in lower quality. Like i can play a video in 2mbits, but not in 20mbits. THen i thought okay, maybe my GPU is not capable, but i can play lets say 3 2mbits but not one 6mbit? Oo (it doesnt seem to be 100% utilized tho) Thanks ill look at the rates. edit: Is it possible to contact them before and clarify if they can help before i pay? Whats when they cant help?

instead why not give us a simple way to backup that stuff to a ftp server or something. But u can do that manually anyway (user scripts) so... probably pretty obsolete request? What do i miss?

Im used that some files wont play, but since ive moved ALL my files to h265 to save some space its getting out of hand, it feels like most of the media is not playable. 1.) direct play shows black screen, sometimes direct play works flawless 2.) transcode does work on some files, but not all What is the problem, i dont get it, other users report that h265 playback is working fine. I dont think i changed anything special in plex, chrome, unraid, just plain "standard", i worked thru all docker pages and i dont see a problem. ITS CRAZY. Currently i would be satisfied if atleast all media would work in chrome (web). That should be archivable?!!? In the longrun i have a chromecast ultra for my TV What i did to fix? - different nvidia drivers - different unraid versions (currently latest version) - different plex/docker versions (currently back to linuxserver) - i completly removed the nearly 10 year old plex DB and rebuild it - completly removed chrome (and lost my lastpass pw... xD) - in sum maybe half a year of googling?! Setup - Unraid 6.12.1 - Plex 1.32.5.7210-77f7f99fa - Nvidia NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti v470.182.03 (also tried latest v535.54.03) - docker cmd -e VERSION=1.32.5.7210-77f7f99fa -e NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=all --runtime=nvidia -e PUID=99 -e PGID=100 --device=/dev/dri:/dev/dri --restart=unless-stopped --log-opt max-size=50m --log-opt max-file=1 --network=filesharing -e ADVERTISE_IP="http://192.168.0.110:32400,http://externaldns:32400" - i tried with and without "nvidia patch"... Errors? Thats the f.... worst part. Its a nightmare, because plex is unable to f. say what the f. problem is. I get 19q233781298379812978312789387912897312893819072387901218927189203 mrd lines of code spit in my face and can look myself for the error in it. Mostly its super usefull crap like "not supported h4", or absolutly nice errors like: And to make it even worse the gpu is working fine 24/7 for shinobi.... (...????...) I would really appreaciate if someone could post their config, so i can test, or if someone would connect to my machine and we see together if we can find out what the f. problem is. Ill pay if needed. Maybe my unmanic settings are wrong (??). Ive had it set to main8 and fast or medium before i changed to this.

plex is tryin to convert h265 with igpu (which doesnt support it), even if i have in pref my gpu. So i dont know what the hell the problem is.

I would really like if you add these functionality into unraid, it looks really nice. Its amazing how much difference it makes in readability and better ui, im really impressed. and if u look how many users posted and downloaded this... please add it to unraid.
