50c is fine for an SSD, well within limits (70c is max operating temp) so don't worry about it

Keep in mind that when you unplug it from the wall, any devices connected to it are no longer grounded unless you've attached a ground lead to the lug on the back of the UPS. Safer option (for you and the device) is to flip the breaker sending power to the outlet

If the software is generating its own file names, it means the original file names are not (generally) recoverable - from the FAQ: Will UFS Explorer restore the original folder structure and file names? UFS Explorer is equipped with algorithms that allow it to restore the structure of the file system and the actual file names. Yet, in some cases, the original folder structure may undergo irreversible corruption becoming unrecoverable, and on top of that, some types of file systems tend to erase the original file names after certain operations (deletion, formatting, etc.). Under such circumstances, the folder or name for the file will be assigned by the software itself to keep the data recovery possible.

FWIW I'm running a couple of these EDAZ drives now, temperatures have been on par with my other drives and I haven't noticed a heat issue with 'em, they also perform fine and cleared in ~14 hours. (knock on wood)

how many drives are connected per line back to the power supply, and how many on each connector

Make sure you have enough power going to the drives, and that you're not using too many splitters

What kind of throughput are you getting between the machines over the network

What's the CPU utilization when you're trying to play the video

It just puts the drives into a low powered sleep mode, which stops the spindle motor - hence the spin down. Any activity directed towards the drive wakes them up and starts the spindle spinning once again - hence the spin up. It's normal for the temperature to not be displayed, as the drives are effectively turned off.

Disk 5 and 7 should be replaced, those are pre-fail indicators You should look into improving cooling/airflow to the drives, hitting above 60 is not-good™️
