@dlandon ya that would be cool too like a line say with the 3 lines above Device Script so Abouve Device Script add a line and say "Enable Script" Yes and No as options this way you can turn it off the reason i said Toggle switch was because they Turn On And Off aka Yes or No just something simple that disables the script... thats all i ment about the toggle switchs

@dlandon ah ok i figured it be the same like Share Toggle it On to Share the UD drive and Toggle it Off to Disable the Share so same thing with the Script Toggle It On To Enable Script and Toggle it Off To Disable The Script ya its messy i have had issues where unraid still thinks its on and with my older script it would copy the files to the UD even though its not plugged in and it would move it to the trash can the way i had it done.. so now i do it with a script but since the Add script doesnt 100% work right when you add it... where its the if dev = whatever and then else where you have sleep 1 i actually put it in both locations at the If and also the then to make sure it works when the drive it slide in then it unmounts and also when i click Mount it runs the samne copying and then unmount... but if i wanna disable the script i cut and paste the entire script deleting it so i can mount it and then re paste it... its just a feature i figure easilly added if toggle is on run sccript else do not run the script.... if no demand its ok i keep cutting and pasting

@dlandon for my use case is i use it on my sisters headless server... so i orginally had issues with the script not always working so i added my script at the ADD,,, and the 2 if statesments so what i have is once she shoves the SSD into her server... it auto mounts and auto copies files from her one directory for backup to the SSD and then unmount... and then i able to do it by clicking Mount button when i remote login in.. so i can get it to auto copy by just clicking Mount and then it will simulate me shoving the hard drive in and out i had issues with her shoving in the ssd and it wouldnt copy so i made sure i added least at the If and the else statement... and i wanted it to work once i clicked the Mount button.. but i also wanted to be able to Turn Off the Script so when i do click Mount it wont run the script... so like a simple toggle switch with the other toggles Enable Script = True when mount it will run script Enable Script = False when mount it will not run script as this way i can manually copy files to her ssd to gove me to backup her files without triggering the script to run and auto unmounting as i do the auto unmount so when my sister pulls out the ssd that unraid doesnt bugger up as i have had lots of times when you pull the mounted drive out and then you need a reboot.. as unraid still sees it mounted and you cant fix things till you reboot

feature request i wouldnt mind seeing is under the settings for each drive.. a toggle switch to enable and disable the scripts.. as right now if i wanna just mount the drive without running the script i gotta select all cut it and save.. mount it and then re paste the script back in be nice a toggle switch like with the auto mount,. share, etc a toggle Enable Script so you can turn it off and it wont run if its not enabled... i though the enable in background would do that but it doesnt but ya that be a nice request feature

ya i cant get rid of this error .. i figure the only way is to format the damn computer... i got more then 10k it looks like of the same authlimit... if i cant stop it from coming from my desktop pc id wanna be able to turn it off from logging it. or least log it in something as a counter authlimit count:12000 say instead of filling up the damn logger of justr that error... as there is nothing i can do to find it on the desktop... i did try registery cleaners .. it seemed to worked for a whie but it came back like a bad storm bombing me with all these auth limits... be nice to trace to exactly know what is causing it.... its driving me nuts... i try nto to ever look at the sys log as i know what i going to see 😞

guess thats why things in the linux/unix stuff it doesnt like spaces where in windows you used to doing spaces.. always learning 🙂

oh gotcha it was looking for transport not transport data it used to work in the past or i just got lucky lol

ah ok and how come it didnt work for me but was working fine for you? but least you found the issue.. as i was thinking i needed to format the ntfs drive or uninstall re install the plugin or i figured it was that nfs share that keeps popping up i didnt really know what to do to fix it least you know

oh ok so what does that mean? the space in my mount point... although i cant help you program i curious ot always learning new information

i used to be on 12.2 but there was so much flakyness i think you or someone else mentioned just go back to 6.11 as its more stable then 12.x as i was having too much issues with the 12 but ok ill pm u shortly

is there a logger like you had me do for the UD in the past a Level 2 or so debug loggin? is there one for the recycle bin so you can tell whats going on as soon as i do a move or delete and when it moves it over to .recycle.bin folder that it knows whats clashing with the app

and its been about 5 min and no deleted logs under deleted files section under Recycle bin settings section... even though i enabled logging and pressed apply to make sure it was enabled... still no smb share and no deleted files log

i turned on the log deleted files... how long does it take to show up? as i just added a bunch of files and hit the delete....

@dlandon ah ok no i was saying that the recycle bin no longer works to empty it .. it only works to put the files in the .recycle.bin folder but the recycle bin doesnt notice.. and i mentioned it can be 20 min or so or days and it will not show up.. thats why i gave the diagnostics and figured maybe that warning of the nfs share might be interrupting the UD as it will never show up and a "Refresh" and the "Refresh" under SMB shares do nothing it cant find the transport data smb .recycle.bin folder even though it put it in there it just cant show up as its been like 30 min and the recyclin (settings) page still shows nothing for the transport data folder...

@dlandon not 100% sure what you mean.. it used to work back in like 6.10 or so as when i put the UD drive in it automounts and auto shares,,, then in windows i \\tardis\transport data to get to the auto share and when i move to the array.. it moves the files into the .recycle.bin as you see the folder is filled up with the deleted files, and it used to show up in the recycling bin plugin under settings and if your talking about the add remote smb/nfs share .. i dont use that for the UD drive

anyone having issues to transcode mp4 to mkv... it used to work.. but since i had problems i uninstalled and reinstalled tdarr adn tdarr node... to fix issues before now it cant convert mp4 i have to use mktool to convert them to mkv and then tdarr to convert to 265

@dlandon here is a pic of my sisters ssd i trade back and forth with her to backup her files.... when i delete the files or move the files the copy goes to the .recylin.bin folder but it never registers in Recycling bin plugin i running 11.5 since 12.x has been flaky for me.. so i cant get it to empty through the plugin all i could think of is that NFS share issue warning for UD from the warning... as i took a diagnostic.. before the Authlimit error fills my logs with like 10k of the same authlimit drives me mad

@dlandon sorry delay didnt have internet working right so i mounted the UD i made a folder on my ntfs UD drive a test delete... i put files in there and deleted the files it creates the .recyclie bin folder.. but i cant empty the UD Share as it doesnt show up all i can do is Trash All but it doesnt delete and i let it wait 20 min before i refreshed incase it takes a bit for UD recyclin bin to populate and i created the folder and deleted the folder and copied files to the test delete folder while running Windows 10 i wonder if it has to do with this warning ? Aug 7 21:39:16 Tardis unassigned.devices: Warning: Unassigned Devices are not set to be shared with NFS. i never use the nfs but i always get that warning tardis-diagnostics-20230807-2200.zip

not sure when it stopped but the recycling bin for UD devices like removable ntfs drive.. is not being detected in the recycling bin to delete it... i do delete files and it goes into the recycling bin but when i goto recyling bin and empty all it never detects or deletes the files in the .recycling.bin on the UD drives... not sure when it stopped just noticed my drives never loosing data when i empty a stop start a restart a rescan of the recyling bin buttons do not make a difference to detecting

@wgstarks my logs are gone at moment but all i had was something [INFO] and then the file name but thats under Log tab unless your pulling it from somewhere else.. for now i just skip it and do it later i guess.. was converting my dvds too but it didnt like it.. also i find the tdarr doesnt erase title in the mkv so when i rip it and when you play it in vlc i get like main_vob as the title so i gotta use the mktool and force a remove the tags... dunno if tdarr can do it.

@wgstarks ah ok so i not the only one at least... i dont get the same logs as you but i just look at the logs page and all the stuff says INFO but un clickable... hopefully there be a fix soon then

is anyone experiencing in the last update or 2... when you are trying to transcode from 264 to 265 or so it throws all videos in the trascode error/cancelled folder.... it used to work fine couple updates ago but seems now any video the odd one gets in and works but the rest are thrown out... the logs dont show any errors really... anyone know whats going on? i tried a reboot of unraid but that didnt help either

im still running 6.11.5 as it seems more stable and less warnings then 6.12x and had issues with them not stable enough but i keep getting the authlimit", client: 192.168.0.227, server: , request: "PROPFIND /login HTTP/1.1", host: stuff i tried a program someone told me a while ago to try to watch what program was accessing the server.. and i remember it was svchost.exe it had loaded like 30 copies at once hitting the server.. not sure how i fix that other then Formating windows and starting over is there a way to disable the logger to ignore this error.. so it doesnt fill the log file of this one error like nothing i fix in windows fixes it.. unless i have to format windows ... so wanted to edit some file that says if you see this authlimit just ignore it and dont log it is that possible?

@alturismo oh lol .. well least you figured it out or i be still hitting the apply.. since no one in general chat replied which they probably dont know or too soon for a reply lol... as i wasnt sure to ask help in here or there... least my main server isnt running fans at 5000 rpms now they off or at 1000 lol
