GoTraSys
Hello everyone, I have changed the configuration on my unraid server to "Use SSL/TLS" and I can now login securely from outside via my dyndns unraid.myserver.com/login to my unraid server without any problems or error messages. But now the devices under "Main" are not displayed anymore when I login remotely. When I connect locally to my Unraid server, the devices under "Main" are displayed normally. Is this behavior known? And is there anything else to configure to make it work ? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Ralph Quote Link to comment
dlandon
That's the Unassigned Devices plugin. Please do the following: Update the UD Plugin. Post a screen shot of the devices when viewed locally. Post your diagnostics, Quote Link to comment

dlandon
Turn on php logging by going to Tools->PHP Settings and set 'Error reporting level" to "All Categories". Check the "Show errors on screen" check box. Then access your server remotely. Report any php errrs/warnings logged. Quote Link to comment
GoTraSys
I've activated PHP logging and clicked around in every tab for a while but there are no errors in the PHP report coming up (see screen shot) Quote Link to comment
dlandon
Remove the UD plugin and see if it still happens. Quote Link to comment
GoTraSys
Ya I've removed all the UD Plugins and tested it remotely. Unfortunately still the same behavior no devices at all under "Main" are displayed. The issue itself came not from the UD Plugins. By the way also under the Dashboard no activity is shown (see screen shots). And I've also tested it under different browsers, all shows the same issue. Quote Link to comment

GoTraSys
Hello everyone and Pre-Sales Support, Please can anyone help here ? Does anyone here have an idea what else could be causing this behavior during remote access ? I'm currently testing Unraid and still using the trial version. But I'm considering purchasing a license as I want to use Unraid as my server. But it is also a must and very important for me to be able to access it remotely to check the configuration and the status and so on. I want to switch to Unraid from a Proxmox server on which I currently have Nextcloud, Home Assistant, Moodle, Cockpit-Fileserver, and other software installed. I'm able to access the Promox server and all the VMs and containers remotely without any problems or errors, so that a misconfiguration of my router and DynDNS configuration can be ruled out. I really need your help here before I buy Unraid and can't use it properly. Regards, Ralph Quote Link to comment
itimpi
This is the first time I have ever heard of these exact symptoms so it is not at all clear why you are seeing it and how to resolve it. Quote Link to comment
bonienl
How do remotely access the server? Are you using vpn or other method? The picture shows there is no nchan communication (this is the background communication to update the gui). Some how your remote access blocks this. Quote Link to comment
dlandon
Go to the Settings->Network Settings and confirm the settings. You show bonding enabed in the network.cfg settings, but no NICs are specified, and a lot of other settings appear to be missing. You have 4 NICs in the bond as shown in the Unraid vars? dlandon
I can reproduce this on 6.12.6. Please repost this as a bug on 6.12.6. Quote Link to comment
ljm42
A separate bug report is not needed, this is fine. But looking at your diagnostics, you have not installed the Unraid Connect plugin. I guess you are forwarding a port and setting up your own DDNS? There are too many variables here, this is not recommended and not supported. Please review these security best practices: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/security/good-practices/ For supported Remote Access, please install the Unraid Connect plugin: https://docs.unraid.net/connect/help/ and setup Remote Access per: https://docs.unraid.net/connect/remote-access/ dlandon said they could reproduce the problem with Unraid Connect so I will be investigating that Quote Link to comment
