Benni-chan
Having an issue I'm hoping someone can help me with, I have sickbeard configured to run as "Nobody" and the data directory is /mnt/cache/apps/sickbeard It survives if I take the array offline and put it back on line - however if i restart the unraid server it loses all its config saying it cant find; Unable to find '/mnt/cache/apps/sickbeard/config.ini' , all settings will be default! Can anyone help with this? As mentioned its only lost on reboot. Thanks I'm not sure about the cache drive, but it could be, that it tries to move your config to the array. try to use /mnt/cache/.apps/sickbeard as data directory. folders starting with a dot will be ignored by the mover script. Influencer
Folders starting with a . are ignored, but you should set the apps share to cache only, that way the mover ignores it without the need to make the folder hidden(the . makes it hidden in linux). I would venture to guess that the directory is being created before unraid mounts the cache drive, which would mount it in ram(causing the loss on reboot). Can you tell me what it says on the plug-in gui? It should say whether or not your data dir will persist after reboot. Link to comment
squirrellydw
Please keep the data directories for these plug-ins separate to avoid any permission/access issues with the plugins. I suggest having a single top level directory named apps, and sub-directories for each app. Example: /mnt/cache/apps/ /sabnzbd /sickbeard /couchpotato I just upgrade from beta 12 to rc8a and everything went fine from what I can tell. Now I am getting ready to install these and have a question about install. I created a share called apps like you suggested on my cache drive, do I need to change/add anything else? Please see pic attached Link to comment

If I click on start it looks like it tries but still says stopped. any idea? Also how do I get the post-processing working for sickbeard? I tried this but it didn't work... root@Tower:~# cp /usr/local/sickbeard/autoProcessTV/* /mnt/cache/apps/sabnzbd/scripts/ cp: cannot stat `/usr/local/sickbeard/autoProcessTV/*': No such file or directory Anyone with a Mac want to remote in and help me get this working? dredge999
I am having an issue with the SABNzbd plugin. I have followed all the instructions but I am having a permissions issue when I try to start the plugin. The error log is below: Exception in thread HTTPServer Thread-9: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/threading.py", line 532, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/threading.py", line 484, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/usr/local/sabnzbd/cherrypy/process/servers.py", line 75, in _start_http_thread self.httpserver.start() File "/usr/local/sabnzbd/cherrypy/wsgiserver/__init__.py", line 1644, in start raise socket.error, msg error: [Errno 13] Permission denied This is an unraid system that was upgraded from 4.7 and I did run the upgrade script to reset permissions. I also made sure the permissions on both the SAB app directory were reset and also the app directory on mnt/cache. Any ideas? Rick Link to comment

Dannyboyni
I am having a problem with CouchPotato Server V2. I am not able to access it remotely. I can access it fine in my local network. I have forwarded all of the ports correctly. I can successfully access SickBeard remotely fine. Link to comment
Helmonder
If you are certain ports are setup correctly then both unraid and your router might need a reboot... Link to comment

It does NOT show that data will persist after a reboot, however the data directory is ticked and set to the "cache" location, should I take the array offline, reinstall before hand then start the array? should this cause it to save on disk rather then in memory For some reason the plug-in is starting before the cache disk is mounted, which is odd(and causing the cache disk to not mount). Taking the array offline won't help, you'd have to disable the plug-in(rename or remove from the directory) and then reboot, then add the plug-in back and start. Dredge, ports lower than 1024 cannot be used as they are reserved for root access only. Since for permissions to not be an issue with the plug-ins they must be ran as nobody, you must use a port higher than 1024. Dannyboyni, if it may have something to do with couchpotato listening on "localhost", I think I remember there being an issue with this, but I'll have to look into it, not 100% on this. Dannyboyni
Thank you Influencer for looking into the port issue. It is driving me nuts. All my other apps can be accessed from the outside except for couchpotato. This is a problem because it means I cannot add it to mediadog for android. Link to comment

I got $20 for you. You can start from scratch on Sab, SB and CP if you have to I had that same problem too. What I did was download sickbeard manually (https://github.com/midgetspy/Sick-Beard) and copied the scripts into that sabnzbd script folder (as the OP suggests, I had to make that directory). It works fine. I have a few problems with CouchPotato, and I think it might be permission related. First off, CP seems to be running very slow; it takes a very long time to access the web gui, especially when compared to everything else that I have installed (sickbeard, sabnzbd, headphones, htpcmanager). Secondly, CP is unable to manage my Movies. I have it pointed to: "/mnt/user/Movies" to access the Movies share I made in unRAID but it never scans or adds it to its database. The manage page in CP shows 0%. Lastly, CouchPotato does not move the files to that directory (that same usershare) once sabnzbd downloads it. It does rename the movies, though. I have Headphones moving (to my Music share) and renaming just fine without messing with permissions. Any ideas? Link to comment
maxse
Trying to install couchpotato v2 on rc8 Is there supposed to be a pluging directory by default in the /config or do I need to create one manually? I did manually create it and was able to install sabznbd and sickbeard via manual install (rebooting would not install them for some reason). However, when I try to install couchpotato I get this error. Would appreciate some help for a newb. Link to comment
Influencer
I would guess you downloaded it wrong, go back to the git repo and scroll down for the links... Plugin directory has to be made it is not there by default. And as for plugins not installing on reboot, make sure the extension is .plg Link to comment
Influencer
As for the issue with couchpotato, I have found it to be hit or miss. I do not use it, only for testing, so other users may be able to help with the issue of CP not moving or scanning your files correctly. Link to comment
JustinChase
I posted this in the rc8a thread, but opinion is that it's a plugin issue, so I'm reposting here, in case anyone can help with some permissions errors I'm getting. I'm using CouchPotato to send the episodes to SABnzbd, which is dowloading them, and running the sabToSickBeard.py script, which is then renaming and moving them to their final location. SABnzbd is setup to set the permissions to 777, and there's nothing in the SickBeard script that I can see that should be changing them. This setup worked fine before rc8a, and works most of the time on most of the files, but some just get this weird permission problem. Here is a list of the files in one folder, the last one is the problem, and you can see that it's permissions are not "right". I just can't figure out what's causing this to happen. root@media:/mnt/user/video/TV/Archive/The Walking Dead/Season 03# ls -al total 7213513 drwxrwx--- 1 nobody users 48 2012-11-12 02:19 ./ drwxrwx--- 1 nobody users 168 2012-11-12 02:19 ../ -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 41250 2012-10-25 21:19 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e01\ -\ Seed.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 1463908163 2012-10-15 18:47 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e01\ -\ Seed.mkv -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 34283 2012-10-22 00:01 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e02\ -\ Sick.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 1353489024 2012-10-21 22:08 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e02\ -\ Sick.mkv -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 7311 2012-10-28 23:46 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e03\ -\ Walk\ with\ Me.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 1493589270 2012-10-29 02:19 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e03\ -\ Walk\ with\ Me.mkv -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 41944 2012-11-04 23:30 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e04\ -\ Killer\ Within.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 1688813406 2012-11-05 04:04 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e04\ -\ Killer\ Within.mkv -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 36806 2012-11-11 23:43 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e05\ -\ Say\ the\ Word.jpg -rw------- 1 nobody users 1379451095 2012-11-12 03:18 The\ Walking\ Dead\ -\ s03e05\ -\ Say\ the\ Word.mkv here is the same command on another directory of files that have been downloaded after the file above, and they all seem fine, and all went thru the exact same system... root@media:/mnt/user/video/TV/Archive/South Park/Season 01# ls -al total 2328984 drwxrwx--- 1 nobody users 1640 2012-11-17 02:19 ./ drwxrwx--- 1 nobody users 80 2012-11-17 02:33 ../ -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183199744 2010-04-30 07:46 South\ Park\ -\ s01e01\ -\ Cartman\ Gets\ an\ Anal\ Probe.avi -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183492608 2010-04-30 09:23 South\ Park\ -\ s01e02\ -\ Weight\ Gain\ 4000.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 20187 2012-11-16 07:28 South\ Park\ -\ s01e02\ -\ Weight\ Gain\ 4000.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183289856 2010-04-30 10:58 South\ Park\ -\ s01e03\ -\ Volcano.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 17081 2012-11-16 07:28 South\ Park\ -\ s01e03\ -\ Volcano.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183226368 2010-04-30 12:37 South\ Park\ -\ s01e04\ -\ Big\ Gay\ Al's\ Big\ Gay\ Boat\ Ride.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 22602 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e04\ -\ Big\ Gay\ Al's\ Big\ Gay\ Boat\ Ride.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183498752 2010-05-01 02:20 South\ Park\ -\ s01e05\ -\ An\ Elephant\ Makes\ Love\ to\ a\ Pig.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 26217 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e05\ -\ An\ Elephant\ Makes\ Love\ to\ a\ Pig.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183330816 2010-05-01 03:55 South\ Park\ -\ s01e06\ -\ Death.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 19452 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e06\ -\ Death.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183095296 2010-05-01 05:33 South\ Park\ -\ s01e07\ -\ Pinkeye.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 14709 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e07\ -\ Pinkeye.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183199744 2010-05-01 07:11 South\ Park\ -\ s01e08\ -\ Starvin'\ Marvin.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 14646 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e08\ -\ Starvin'\ Marvin.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183500800 2010-04-28 15:44 South\ Park\ -\ s01e09\ -\ Mr.\ Hankey\ the\ Christmas\ Poo.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 19711 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e09\ -\ Mr.\ Hankey\ the\ Christmas\ Poo.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183173120 2010-05-01 08:48 South\ Park\ -\ s01e10\ -\ Damien.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 24238 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e10\ -\ Damien.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183040000 2010-05-02 04:08 South\ Park\ -\ s01e11\ -\ Tom's\ Rhinoplasty.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 20529 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e11\ -\ Tom's\ Rhinoplasty.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183105536 2010-05-02 05:45 South\ Park\ -\ s01e12\ -\ Mecha-Streisand.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 16690 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e12\ -\ Mecha-Streisand.jpg -rw-rw---- 1 nobody users 183121920 2010-05-02 07:23 South\ Park\ -\ s01e13\ -\ Cartman's\ Mom\ is\ a\ Dirty\ Slut.avi -rw-rw---- 1 theater users 20967 2012-11-16 09:34 South\ Park\ -\ s01e13\ -\ Cartman's\ Mom\ is\ a\ Dirty\ Slut.jpg I'm not using any Homegroup in windows 7 All machines in this house run the exact same version of windows 7 I'm using the User and Shares system built into unRAID, and have limited access to some shared on some machines, but it's been set this way for a while. Influencer
I have absolutely no clue why it would give different permissions to one and not the rest... And to correct the opinion, while it could very well (and likely is) an issue with sickbeard setting the wrong permissions, its not a plugin issue. The plug-in sets the app up to run and starts it, beyond that it does nothing. My first suggestion would be to make a thread over on the sickbeard forums. Second suggestion would be to see what the directory permissions are for those two directories to see if they are off. Also get sickbeard to send a show to sab and as check the permissions of your complete folder from sab, see if it matches the permissions from your problem files. Reason I suggest that is its possibly(I presume anyway) that sickbeard is checking the parent directory permissions before it actually moves the file, which could give it the wrong permissions. As far as I know sickbeard uses the parent folder permissions to set the file permissions during the post processing, but again, this is something that the sickbeard devs could tell you with better assurance. Dannyboyni
Influencer I take it to get my CouchPotato V2 to be able to be seen remotely I am going to have to reinstall unraid and start from scratch? I have tried reinstalling the plugin, but I can still not access couchpotato remotely, even though I have the port forwarded correctly. Many thanks. Link to comment
Influencer
I wouldn't think unraid is causing an issue.... I did test it and couchpotato was accessible with nothing special done, just forwarded the port. Try changing the port and changing the forwarded ports. Link to comment
Dannyboyni
Massive Doh on my part. I had typed in 198.168.2.51 into my router for forwarding the ports, instead of 192.168.2.51.! Link to comment
timefora_j
I seem to be having problems with Sabnzbd and downloads which are password protected. Its passwords that have characters like " { $ & " basically anything that isn't a letter or number. Sabnzbd will not unpack and gives the message " unpacking failed, archive requires a password " I have put the password in the name of the nzb as suggested by Sabnzbd help for example " The Dark Knight Rises {{3242$R£P}EQWPR£%rf}}.nzb " I have also changed the name of the file while in the queue to " The Dark Knight Rises / 3242$R£P}EQWPR£%rf still no joy. I've no downloaded this files twice at 37gb a pop, How can I delve in to Sabnzdb and see if there is something else its not liking about the files ? Link to comment
Benni-chan
try to unpack the files manually via telnet. you could also try to add a password-file in your sabnzbd config and put the password into it. otherwise you should ask in the sabnzbd support forum. the guys over there can help you better with this problem Link to comment
