Ok, that worked.  I even installed the system temp plugin, and I can see where the temps would be displayed. However, it's not showing any temps.  Do I need to configure or install anything else to get the temps to show up?

 

In the old SF gui, I had to create a sensor.conf files and have my GO file copy it over upon reboot.  SF temps worked just fine.  Perhaps I should put that back in my GO file and try to use my old sensors.conf?

 

I also noticed (and I don't think this is directly related to this plugin) on my console when installing Dynamix plugins;

 

Warning: cannot verify raw.githubusercontend.com's certificate, issed by bla..bla..bla..Unable to locally verify the issues's authority.

 

That said, the plugin installed.  Does anyone know what that error means and how to resolve it?  What is weird is that it's not in my Syslog.

I guess this may just be one of those issues where we cross our fingers that 5.0.6 clears it up?

What do you get with

I appologize, I needed my GUI so I rebooted. but I did run it and this is the results:

 

Linux 3.9.11p-unRAID.

This interface is by far the best I've seen. Not only are the real time stats cool, but the other "geeky" information is so cool too. Brings another dimension to my purchase. This should be standard with all downloads of unRAID.

I can confirm that this gui is working great for my setup and is much better than the half-baked stock gui in v5.  Very nice to have my cpu and mb temps displayed again and I just finished configuring the email notify - again, very nice to have that back. I had SF before and really like it.  I'm off to play with the other plugins for this gui next.

Is it safe to run the Smart test under the Health tab while the array is mounted and in use?

I have dynamix in and running but in the settings window, I dont have couchpotoato, sickbeard, sabnzb etc showing up as they used to in the old style settings tab. I can get to them by navigating to as an example http://192.168.4.1/Settings/sabnzbd but nothing shows on the tab of settings. What am I missing

Today after having a read error on a disk  I saw that it has pending sectors, in dashboard view the s.m.a.r.t. status appears OK, I would like that if a disk has single pending sector it would be reported as not OK, any way to change the s.m.a.r.t. thresholds?

can u make a little warning button to tell user if their usb flash disk(that store unraid) is needed to do disk scan?

 

i had a situation wher i could not access webgui after i woke unraid up from s3. at first i thought it was all the plugins that crashed my server. i then telnet, did a clean shutdown. powered back up, parity check  removed all plugins then rebooted.

i thought it will b fine but on the next day after i woke it up from s3, i could not access webgui. i then checked syslog thru telnet and found out that it is the flash disk errors

 

I have a little request here. I always wanted to see the status (Export as SMF,NFS, AFP, Security, user,...) of a share on the Shares overview page; without having to select each folder and check. Especially now, with the individual tabs for SMB, AFP there is more clicking involved just to check the status of a share.

 

Edited: Note to myself: there is a limited version of such an overview on the Dashboard. (still would be great if such info was also available on the Shares page )

Looking to see if anyone else is having the same issue.

 

I'm running 5.0.4 with dynamix.  Under the web server settings I have all 3 logs disabled.  (PHP Error, Error, Access)

 

Yet PHP Error continues to show up and grow like crazy.  (I'm not so worried about the errors inside PHP, I'm more concerned that the file is showing up when I have it selected as disabled.  I've rebooted server and selected enable and back to disable and the errors continue to show.

 

Any ideas?

I've read through large swaths of this thread in the past, but have not caught up from where I left off.

 

I'm running 5.0.4 with 2.2.4 & hit "Stop Array". After doing so, all Dynamix pages are reporting 404, and I can't connect to the server via puTTY. I have a monitor/keyboard connected to the box, and I can log in there.

 

I need to shut down the box to add a new drive - what's my best next step from here?

Edit: Dynamix is still running, I just got my status email, so it appears just the GUI has died. can I restart emhttp or something like that? If so, how?

ps -ef  shows that /usr/local/sbin/emhttp is still running

 

Edit again: perused back through the thread and found the reference to the powerdown script - used that to shut the box down.

OK, another, admittedly minor, issue.

 

I'm preclearing a disk using JoeL's script. It reports 92% complete at 88.1 MB/s, but Dynamix's Main | Unassigned Devices is reporting it as 92% 50 MB/s. That's a fairly significant difference in speed being reported.

 

I'm inclined to believe the script is more accurate, but am open to being shown otherwise. Does Dynamix calculate the speed based on drive size & time? Does it scrape it from a file somewhere that preclear_disk.sh drops somewhere?

Ok from what I read, there is no way to fix this, other than a reboot.  I also looked at the syslog and see that the rebuild did not begin, so I just issued the powerdown command.  After reboot, gui is working again and the rebuild process kicked off on it's own - array started, so I guess life is good again.

I run Dynamix on my 5.04 server. At first everything seemed ok and work just fine. I then installed several plugins: active streams, cache dirs., disk health, system info, system stats and system temp. Again everything seems to work. Only temps are not shown, just --.

 

Also SMART reports appear a little sluggish. I have now cache dirs. enabled and the system is running a parity check.

 

After some toying with disk health, checking smart status of severals disks I wanted to check system stats and the server became totally unresponsive and I lost the web gui.

 

Am I taxing it too much? How can I see what is going on and what the status is of the parity check that is running?

I am NOT the expert or final authority, but your post got me thinking... if you kill the emhttp process first, then try restarting it, that may work to get the gui to respond again.

 

Can someone with more knowledge chime in? I'd had issues with unresponsive/hung web interface before, and would love to know if there is an easier way to kick start it than a reboot.

The v5 emhttp process is not restartable, so this approach will not work.

having unmenu installed as backup is the next best thing to rebooting.  I agree, it sucks.

I think I am gonna say goodbye to the Dynamix GUI for now. This morning I again couldn't access the WEB GUI of my server. Never had any problem without Dynamix. Feel a bit sad cause it showed a lot of potential. Also unraid menu in doesn't work anymore.

I'd suggest that if *both* unMENU and Dynamix aren't working, there might be something more afoot.. Eliminating both of them from the equation might be the first step in identifying it, though.

Most likely what is happening is something that has always plagued 32bit unRAID. Processes getting killed because of lack of memory. Happens with emhttp, with or without Dynamix. Could also happen to unMenu I think, since it is an awk script running in the background. Unlike emhttp, unMenu could be restarted without a reboot by killing awk then running uu again.
