I'm having trouble getting Remote Access to work correctly and I know that I've forwarded each port that Plex uses correctly in my modem settings. I had Plex working on a Windows server prior to moving it to unRaid and I had the same port forward rules setup for my Windows machine. I have the Plex docker setup as "Host" network type so it should be using my server's IP address. Can someone help me get the remote access working correctly? I think its causing all my clients to connect indirectly. Plex Docker Port Mapings: Modem Port Forwarding Rules (AdamNas = 192.168.1.189) This just show how the rules above are defined in the modem/router. Plex test for remote accessibility. Modem NAT for Plex Server IP (192.168.1.189). I post this because it looks like other ports about being used. I also have this happen to me and i just clicked the (MANUALLY specify public port) and that works for me .. Quote Link to comment
John Graham
Now i have a question that i have not seen befor and dont see anyone talking about it. I'am using live TV and i can see 98 channels and when i pick them all and say save it comes back with 67 is there a HARD limit to the number of channels you can have as you can see i have now 106 but only 67 that i caN USE? HELP thanks John G Quote Link to comment
ConnerVT
Can you click on the "67 enabled" link, then select the unchecked stations? IIRC, if you do a rescan, Plex only selects the channels that were selected during a previous scan and does not automatically add any new ones. Quote Link to comment

randommonth
Hi everyone, My binhex-plex docker instance is about 3 years old and has developed several glitches I've been unable to resolve. My Live Tv experience with Homerun HD frequently drops out, the DVR guide refuses to accept my paid guide xml and I cannot access the PMS logs. I've tried repairing the database but nothing has changed. I think I want to start my server over from scratch but i'm not sure how to do it and not totally clear on what I would lose. 1. What is the correct way to 'delete' my PMS docker and start from scratch? 2. What would I lose by doing this? - Watch histories? Can I reload them from Tautulli? - Collections? I assume they're linked to the Libraries wihch would be lost. - Connections to other users? Or is this linked to my username (Plexweb) - Server name? Can I reuse my old server name? If not, i assume I'll have to reshare new libraries with all friends - Friends' watch histories? Are they stored on my server or their clients? 3. Is there a smarter way of resetting a plex server without taking the nuclear option of starting from scratch? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Frankvs
Hey everyone! Yesterday I started having networking issues where I would manage to access my server in a minute and lose connection in the following. That was fixed after a router reset, but that problem seems to persist for Plex, but only when accessed remotely. I'm using binhex-plex latest release on Unraid 6.12.4 and with plex network set to host. I've looked thorugh both the container logs and plex logs themselves and I'm not noticing anything obvious, but I'd be happy to post them here if that enables you to look into the problem further. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Tyestor
Hi. Does anyone know what's causing this? My plex won't start up. The issue has happened over night. The day before I also updated unraid straight from 6.12.10 to 6.12.13 however there was no issue with plex after my server rebooted, only now. I tried to start the docker from the UI and I get an error "Execution Error - Bad Parameter" The plex docker logs contain this: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 11:49:52,494 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 12:49:50,702 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 13:49:51,150 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 14:49:50,382 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 14:49:51,342 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 15:49:50,766 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 15:49:51,726 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 16:49:51,086 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 16:49:53,070 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 17:49:51,406 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 17:49:53,390 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 18:03:56,806 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 18:03:57,359 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 18:04:20,343 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 18:04:32,938 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 18:35:15,082 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: Generated new chapter thumbnails for The Anniversary. 2024-08-31 18:49:52,683 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 19:10:15,235 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 19:10:16,407 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 19:10:52,078 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 19:11:05,962 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: The '--scan' operation is deprecated and will be removed in future versions of Plex Media Server. 2024-08-31 19:49:52,110 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 19:49:53,006 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 20:49:53,518 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 20:49:53,646 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 21:49:52,942 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 21:49:53,966 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: connect: Operation timed out 2024-08-31 22:04:42,883 WARN received SIGTERM indicating exit request 2024-08-31 22:04:42,884 DEBG killing plexmediaserver (pid 70) with signal SIGTERM 2024-08-31 22:04:42,885 INFO waiting for plexmediaserver to die 2024-08-31 22:04:43,886 DEBG fd 8 closed, stopped monitoring <POutputDispatcher at 23321789693872 for <Subprocess at 23321786257664 with name plexmediaserver in state STOPPING> (stdout)> 2024-08-31 22:04:43,887 DEBG fd 10 closed, stopped monitoring <POutputDispatcher at 23321789160848 for <Subprocess at 23321786257664 with name plexmediaserver in state STOPPING> (stderr)> 2024-08-31 22:04:43,887 WARN stopped: plexmediaserver (exit status 143) 2024-08-31 22:04:43,888 DEBG received SIGCHLD indicating a child quit Edited September 1 by Tyestor Quote Link to comment
