[Support] binhex - Plex

Is this where I come for support with Plex in unRaid? I don't think I installed the binhex version but I didn't see a support thread for the official Plex docker. I don't know the difference in the binhex version and the official version.

I'm having trouble getting Remote Access to work correctly and I know that I've forwarded each port that Plex uses correctly in my modem settings. I had Plex working on a Windows server prior to moving it to unRaid and I had the same port forward rules setup for my Windows machine. I have the Plex docker setup as "Host" network type so it should be using my server's IP address. Can someone help me get the remote access working correctly? I think its causing all my clients to connect indirectly.

This just show how the rules above are defined in the modem/router.

binhex-plex will not start

Different container works

Hi everyone,

My binhex-plex docker instance is about 3 years old and has developed several glitches I've been unable to resolve. My Live Tv experience with Homerun HD frequently drops out, the DVR guide refuses to accept my paid guide xml and I cannot access the PMS logs. I've tried repairing the database but nothing has changed.

I think I want to start my server over from scratch but i'm not sure how to do it and not totally clear on what I would lose.

1. What is the correct way to 'delete' my PMS docker and start from scratch?

2. What would I lose by doing this?

 - Watch histories?  Can I reload them from Tautulli?

 - Collections? I assume they're linked to the Libraries wihch would be lost.

 - Connections to other users?  Or is this linked to my username (Plexweb)

 - Server name? Can I reuse my old server name? If not, i assume I'll have to reshare new libraries with all friends

 - Friends' watch histories? Are they stored on my server or their clients?

3. Is there a smarter way of resetting a plex server without taking the nuclear option of starting from scratch?

Thanks

Hey everyone! Yesterday I started having networking issues where I would manage to access my server in a minute and lose connection in the following. That was fixed after a router reset, but that problem seems to persist for Plex, but only when accessed remotely. I'm using binhex-plex latest release on Unraid 6.12.4 and with plex network set to host.

I've looked thorugh both the container logs and plex logs themselves and I'm not noticing anything obvious, but I'd be happy to post them here if that enables you to look into the problem further. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Hi. Does anyone know what's causing this? My plex won't start up. The issue has happened over night. The day before I also updated unraid straight from 6.12.10 to 6.12.13 however there was no issue with plex after my server rebooted, only now. I tried to start the docker from the UI and I get an error "Execution Error - Bad Parameter"
