  • I am stopping updates for my version of the plugin. Update to the latest version 2023.09.17 and then you can remove my version and install Rysz's from CA and it will retain your configs.   T

  • Released 2023.07.26, @ich777 is creating a new package for me to use, and I want to look to move to 2.8 as the default version but will need to check upgrade path works ok.

  • That APC BX series is known to suffer from this (what we believe to be) firmware issue and we've put patches in place to suppress this unwanted behaviour on the UPS side. Here's how you can set it up:

Put this into your /boot/config/go file:

at -M now + 3 minutes <<< "upscmd -u admin -p adminpass [email protected] beeper.disable 2>&1 | logger -t ups.beeper.disable"

You do not need to change anything in the line (normally), please try and let me know if it works.

If it doesn't work, you can check for the script response in SYSLOG searching for "ups.beeper.disable".

Note that it executes the command with a 3 minute delay so that the UPS is definitely connected by then.

Its working good! Thank you, but one beeeeeeep when AC returns stayed 😃

I wonder if I can just remove the beeper from the board?)

Yes, that's normal, because it doesn't remember the disabled beeper and at that stage the command to disable it again hasn't been sent yet as Unraid is still shutdown.

I'd strongly advise against it, messing with the circuitry is not a good idea (unless you're an electrician or professional that's otherwise qualified to do so).

@Rysz We added some more values in pr #2620. If you will have chance please update privew.

Sure, I have a few other modifications cooking (see above) so it will probably be early next week. 🙂

And thanks for the effort for the Eaton UPS, I'm curious to see how it will be on my 5P 850...

Thanks, It's just adding more values for Eaton 9E in my case (which I tested) and other I hope, but more work needed to enable Bypass/ECO mode for Eaton.

Would it be possible to make this message also Dismiss-able:

Another idea from my side would be to make the plugin use tabs and to put the Controll Center in another tab (don't know if you like that but I think that would be super cool and would make the plugin page more accessible) :

Done & Done in latest update (available now). 🙂

I just noticed that my NUT plugin isn't able to start. I've attached my SYSLOG, can anyone help me find out what's stopping it from starting? TIA

Edit:it's working after stopping and starting the plugin but it would still be good to work out why it stopped so that I can prevent it from happening again

The footer is no longer displaying battery percentages anymore. Is this a bug? The feature is enabled so I don't know why this is happening. The dashboard shows the status just fine.

It works for me, what OS version are you on?
Did you try turning "NUT Page Footer" to "No" => Apply => "Yes"?

Did you try with another browser or after clearing your browser cache?

... or reinstalling the plugin (doesn't affect configuration), to see if that solves the problem for you?

@Rysz, Do you know if the new MIBs ever got posted for GitHub #2372 for the Eaton 9PX? They had asked to build it with the MIBs, but that is a little beyond my capability.

Or if the new versions have a better way to get this data over the network.

Thanks for the reminder, I managed to build a driver stub with the provided MIBs, hopefully as a starting point:

Can't promise I'll be able to get something up and running, if I do I'll ping you for testing (as I have no 9PX).

It works fine here, we just recently tested this with another user too.

What value are you trying to set?

yes i saw , but not working for me:

upsrw -s input.transfer.low = 150 -u user -p pass Eaton9E2000i

and for new pr:

upsrw -s input.eco.switchable=high-efficiency -u user -p pass Eaton9E2000i

its wrote OK or Success with -w but not changing value ,

only `override.input.transfer.low = 150` in ups.conf and restart working

Hmm, not sure about these values, but there's no difference in the `upsrw` program on Unraid.

The program itself works as on any other OS, so either a general program problem or one on the UPS side.

After running with debug it seems i have a lot of `nut_libusb_get_interrupt: Connection timed out` , opened issue https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/2643 for it ...

Just to be sure, the default username/password combination in Unraid NUT is admin/adminpass, like this:

upsrw -s input.eco.switchable=high-efficiency -u admin -p adminpass Eaton9E2000i

So unless you changed this to something different in `upsd.users`, user/pass as in your command will not work.

Hi!

I'm new here. Why am I not getting the battery charge info?

Can the UPS commands be made optional via a setting. Also I think should be in User tools at the bottom rather than System Settings part.

I'll put it on the TO-DO list for the next update, you're right "NUT Commands" should be under "User Utilities".
