That is possible because not all commands require administrative access and these will work with a wrong user/pass combination also.

It's taking the credentials set in upsd.users

NUT plugin has as defaults admin/adminpass.

So if I have default user/pass in setting it should work in upsrw with same user/pass, and it show OK or Success when - w

No, it's not blocked - it takes whatever is set in "upsd.users" with administrative permissions.

as i wrote before i have some issues with transfer or timeout of commands and r/w values so they not work every time for me , also tried to get back to online and this not working for me , also not sure if next time i can get to ECO , thats why i need someone who can test it 😪

`NUT Connected Clients` is counting connected clients with username+password only ?

 

becouse im using windows client WinNUT , also Telegraf for export to influxdbv2 for Grafana (not shure if it counts as client)

 

So im see 0 clients connected , they both connecting without user + password

Yes, this only shows actually logged in NUT secondaries/slaves. The idea of the function is to make sure that NUT slaves are actually logged in correctly and able to receive "FSD" (emergency shutdown) flags set by the NUT master. NUT does not keep track of clients that are only querying for information but are not in fact also logged in as NUT slave. Sorry, this is not really clear right now, but I added some more help description for the next update... 🙂

OK, got it , will check then with loggins but checked fsd is working for WinNUT Client without user/password ....

We tested WinNUT today with another user on Discord and ours show as logged in:

 

 

 

with version WinNUT_Client-v2.3.8988.

Does the user have to be anything specific. Netserver does not show any other Unraid servers. Running Stable ard user is monuser.

You have to use the "NUT Slave Username" (by default: slaveuser), not the "NUT Monitor Username" (by default: monuser), on the NUT Slaves (other Unraid servers).

 

In "upsd.users" it's the user which has the property "upsmon slave" or "upsmon secondary".

 

Hey guys, maybe some can help me. So i have purchased a green cell 2000va ups on german amazon.

I installed the nut plugin and let it detect the driver. It suggested the "nutdrv_qx" driver, so i tried that first, but i noticed in the dashboard, that "Battery Charge" and "Runtime Left" were missing. So i switched to the second recommendation "blazer_usb". Now "Batter Charge" is shown aswell, but the "Runtime Left" is still missing.
The detect function suggests a third driver "nutdrv_atcl_usb" but that is not to be seen anywhere on the selection. Should i try that driver and if so, how can i do so? Or is there another reason, why the runtime left is not showing up?
