Ok used my eyes and found the way.

Would be supercool if we could add the ignore folders within the plugin so no need to used an external text editor. 

 

Maybe we could just add a drop down browser like in app backup plugin and one selects folders to ignore?

If you disable mover tuning plugin, unraid mover still working.

Isn't that what I did? "Disable Mover running on a schedule: Yes" || isn't that setting supposed to disable the schedule?

I don't want to disable the plugin obviously, I need the filters. I'm so confused

If you disable mover on shedule you can still run plugin mover tuning by move button in main menu. 

If in mover tuning settings move now button follow plugin filters=yes

If you mean that Unraid mover still run that's by unraid design. Not sure if unraid mover shedule can be disabled, you need to ask unraid dev team.

Yes, the mover still did run WITH filters=yes, after I disabled the scheduled run.

Because I'm triggering the mover via a script, I need the script to finish something THEN run mover.

You can use befor script option in plugin then

I completely removed this plugin.

 

Manual Mover by pressing Move button doesn`t work, doesn`t matter "Disable Mover running on a schedule:" YES or NO, plugin blocks mover work.

So, I have a new Unraid server and filled up shares with existing  data from an old Synology. 

Not used a cache drive while the TBs of data was transferred since the 1TB cache would not have been able to accommodate all of that.
Now, I would like to optimize the storage so that the mover only would only move files over 50Mb from the cache to the hdd array. All sound and good since Mover tunning has this option. 👏 Since I added the cache after the hdd array wa filled, my plan was to move files under 50Mb from the hdd array back to the cache with mover tunning, by setting the hdd array as primary storage and the cache to secondary and just use a size filter rule to do that. Well that option does not exist unfortunately, mistake on my side, did not check what options are exactly available, just assumed size filter worked both ways. I can see that what I am doing is probably very niche.
My question is that, is there a way to what I am trying to achieve? Is there a command line option to mover tunning that would allow me to allow me to do such filtering?

I have mover tuning installed and trying a simple move for a share from cache->array but mover is not moving files. Here are some details -

There is no plugin override set for this share.

Mover threshold is set to 25% and Free down level is set to 10%.

The disk is at 33%, why is the mover not picking up files for moving? Please help!

 

Ok - weird question - back in last 6.12 when mover would move say television to the array- it would typically delete the Television folder on the cache right?  Now that I'm in 7.0 and ran mover it kept the television folder but it was empty.   Is that how its supposed to work now or is that wrong?  

Check your mover tuning settings for the clear empty folders options, they have been a bit broken lately and are still being worked on.

 

Unfortunately it cant go back and clear empty folders if they were already empty, it will only clear an empty folder if it actually moved all the files out of it.

 

Make sure you are on the latest version of the plugin and the settings are configured to clean empty folders.

< 95% to stop (sample at 94%)

 

you are currently at 33% ...

 

usually this setup would be different, mover start treehold > freeing treehold, sample

 

start at 50 %, free down to 25 % ... so mover would start if > 50% is used and stop as soon < 25% is left ...

 

your setting stop as soon < 95% is left while you are on 33 % ... so all good for the math

 

thats what the mover tuning reports ... now your screen shows a different setting, sure there is no override somewhere ?

from your screens, all ok, may take a look at your flash drive, if there is something in there ...

You needs to set clear folders,clear dataset to Yes

In last version was removed override for cache:prefer array->cache. 

And moving from array to cache only upto 95%. 

@alturismo do you think we need to add override for cache prefer with some options? 

I remember we decided to move to cache only...

I saw some users having this issue with cache prefer thresholds on cache yes shares but those thresholds was coded if cache prefer and second user0, so it should be Becouse overrides, but some say they don't have... Will check it
