I couldn't find an exact definition of what these variables are for, but it's possible they're used to make the key persistent. I don't know. I guess time will tell.

The variable --key _ forces the server and the relay to use the key otherwise everyone would be able to connect through an to your machines without a key, so to speak the server and relay do strict key checks if they are matching, otherwise the connection is rejected.

Can you please go a bit more in detail what you mean with "last update"?

The last update was pushed 5 months ago since this was the time where RustDesk Server 1.1.14 was released.

Are you sure that your Docker template is configured correctly, so to speak please check the paths in the template.
If you are using for exmple /mnt/cache/appdata/... then you have to ensure that the Mover takes no action for the appdata share and that the data stays on the cache and is not moved to another disk.

really strange i did an update 3 days ago and i check the update weekly if not daily (this is your repo right? ghcr.io/ich777/rustdesk-server-aio)

in any case i have no cache at the moment and the template is untouched from your default setting

Yes, everything correct, I did not push an update because there was no need to do so.

The key won't change as long as it can find the physical path to the files since the key is stored on disk.

If you have no cache then please check if the path in the template is set to /mnt/user/appdata/... instead of /mnt/cache/appdata/...

for the future, how i block the mover from moving thing from cache to disk?

@ich777

Hello, can you please advice how to remove lancache prefill limits, it stuck on 2.38tb no matter what I am doing. Ending up overwritting my data

Please refer to the docs:

https://lancache.net/docs/containers/monolithic/variables/

Especially these two:

However, this is a LANCache issue not a prefill issue.

Thank you, I missed cache index size, will try that

Taking too much time to trial all this errors

OK thank you... managed to manually create a template for starters, not sure if it will ever make it to CA ?

Contact @Squid if you want to publish templates in CA.

Ah, that was "reseting" my keys ... changed it to the standard appdata folder like all the other dockers.

For anyone struggling to get RustDeskServer-AiO working I finally found a solution that might help you. The issue I was experiencing ended up being the way the ports were mapped in the docker container. For some reason the ports were mapped to 99 and 100 internally. The external ports were fine. I had to remove the existing port mappings, then re-add them as follows:

  • Name: TCP - RustDesk Server/Relay:

  • Container Port: 21115-21119

  • Host Port: 21115-21119

  • Connection Type: TCP

  • Name: UDP - RustDesk Server:

  • Container Port: 21116

  • Host Port: 21116

  • Connection Type: UDP

After I did this everything started working as expected. Hopefully this helps someone else.

By default the port mappings are:

21115-21119:21115-21119

&
21116:21116/udp

At least that's what's in the template here.

Great info!
This caught my eye as this docker has been put on the backburner for a bit and have been meaning to deploy it! Last I looked at it seemed a little challenging to get setup, perhaps this wonderful post is all I needed to remind myself to give it a go?

Pretty straight forward to deploy?

Thanks :-)

Noted as well for deployment (when I get to it)
Thank you kindly!

Just deploy the container, it has everything set up so that it just work and forward the ports in your router/firewall.

delete the "JDownloader.jar" in your appdata folder of jdownloader2 and the folder "update" in appdata/jdownloader2/tmp/

It bricks itself a lot

it worked. but the loading time is very long from open the docker to finally jdownloader is up.

Very long is a pretty stretchable term.

On what machine are you running jDownloader2? Do you start/stop jDownloader2 every time? Usually you leave it running.

Can we get Rustdesk updated from 1.3.1 to the current 1.4.1? Please and thank you!

I‘m not 100% sure what you are referring to?

My RustDesk-AiO is just the server and relay in one container and the latest version is 1.1.4 which is up to date.

I don‘t hab a RustDesk (client) container.
