Post diagnostics.

Sure, I appreciate your support.

Whats interesting is is that the only time a spin down attempt is visible in the logs when I clicked the green circle the first time ever:

Jan 7 16:06:42 Tower emhttpd: WD_Elements_25A3_324C47365244344B-0:0 (sdh) 512 39063584768
Jan 7 16:06:42 Tower emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdh
Jan 7 16:17:55 Tower emhttpd: spinning down /dev/sdh
Jan 7 16:18:03 Tower emhttpd: sdspin /dev/sdh down: 1

It did not spin down but the attempt is visible. After that I clicked the green circle in the following troubleshooting process for sure another 5-10 times. But non of those attempts is visible in the logs.

Update to 6.11.5 and see if the issue continues.  If it does, post new diagnostics.

Thanks for the updates, very much appreciated staying on top of things. I always try to stay updated if possible, but it seems there's been quite a few lately. Is there a way to just stay at a stable version? I'm not moving my main server over from 6.10.3 just yet.

Hello,

Haven't seen anything like this in cursory scan of posts here, but that's not saying there's nothing in here about the issue.

After installation of UD plugin, when starting array, I get the unRAID "busy" indicator for a bit, then it flashes the screen with all the buttons (for when array is started), then all I get are reboot and shutdown buttons. Array does not start. If I reboot, then I get Start Array button with the other two, reboot and shutdown. Attempt to start array results in same. No other plugins installed except for CA Apps. This is happening with two servers. 6.11.5.

Thanks!

After start array button press, I get "resend" requester twice from browser (Firefox). Same on other browser (Chrome).

I am very confused.  How did you start the array if the start array button is not visible?  Your array is not running in the screen shot either.

And, you said yo see the same thing when you boot in the safe mode with UD installed?  What about in safe mode without UD being installed?

After reboot, start array button is available. After hitting start button, I get the "resend" requester twice before getting the screen without stop array button, just reboot and shutdown.

When booting in safe mode, array starts, whether UD is installed or not. Then I get all array control buttons available.

Update: Noticed the status bar at bottom of screen says "Array Stopped" and "Stale Configuration". Docker containers and a single VM working.

I have 2 unraid servers, both running 6.11.5 connected locally via a ubiquiti switch and 10g ethernet.  I have the media shares mounted via NFS on both servers via the unassigned devices plugin.  I have noticed every few days though that the shares seem to disconnect?  It is weird though, dockers can continue to use the share, so like Plex still has access, but if I restart a docker that uses that share, it will fail and I will need to unmount and mount the share again.  I am attaching my logs and diagnostics when it happens.  I am mostly referring to the "Media2" share.

Greetings!

I have been having this really weird problem with a Remote SMB share for a while now and finally I have had enough of it, so I am hoping somebody can help me figure out and fix this problem :)

Ok, where do I start, I have a remote SMB share where I store my Media and any files that are handled by SABnzbd and Sonarr, both Docker containers are on my Unraid server.  When I have this problem, I would normally reboot the server and the remote SMB share shows the proper storage values, then if SABnzbd starts downloading too many files at once, let's say 10 for arguments sake, all of a sudden, it gets paused and when I check, it shows this:

image.png.32ba461f323eb233f86758b7a40e8d56.png

Then when I check the status of that remote share, I get this:

image.png.1f28eb9fc29d5a9e5ffa879d50683c5a.png

I do have another remote share on that same computer and it does not have this problem.

So what I have to end up doing is rebooting my UNraid server and everything goes back to normal, until of course SABnzbd starts downloading multiple files again.  I have attached my diagnostics files, believe me, you might find numerous problems, but I am more than willing to take any negative feedback as long as I can get them fixed!

Thank you in advance.

Start by going to Settings->Unassigned Devices and set the Debug Log Level to 'None'.  The log is full of debug messages and it is impossible to find any relevant log messages.  Rebooot to clear up the log, then post diagnostics again once you have the problem.

I'm not seeing a reason for your remote shares to fail.

Why are you logging so much in your smb-extra.conf?  It makes the log very hard to read.

log level = 3
logging = syslog

Try the following:

  • Turn off SMB Multichannel.
  • Turn off macOs Interoperability.
  • Turn off NetBIOS.  It doesn't look like you need it.

If none of that fixes your issue, turn off the excessive SMB logging and post another diagnostics so I stand a chance of being able to read your log.

There can be many reasons for a network issue.  Try rebooting all the network equipment - router, switches, and servers.

You need to take a look at how you are managing your downloads.  Work on stopping the mover issues.
