I installed UGREEN LED Driver on my DXP2800 but it doesn't work, LEDs just keep cycling one after the other like before.

I logs I see messages that say i2c_smbus_read_i2c_block_data failed and SMBus is busy, can't use it!

What to do?

Did you reboot after installing the plugin?

Please post your Diagnostics if the issue persists.

Yes, I did. I just did another, diagnostics attached.

Sorry, I never seen that error, it would be best to create an Issue here since the plugin is based off from that repository:

Is there anything special that needs to be done after upgrading a motherboard? I went from a 9700K to a 14600K and now when running Emby there is a long pause prior to the media starting.

Usually not, but without Diagnostics really hard to say.

Since this is not related to a plugin, because Intel Driver support is built into Unraid itself, I would recommend that you create a post in the Gerneal Support subforums here on the Forum.

Hi, ich777 I would like to buy a Mellanox ConnectX-3 PCIe x4 NIC 10 10GBe SFP+ Single Port Server Adapter CX311A to replace my old Intel X520. Is your Mellanox Firmware update plugin still working under 7.1.4?

Hi,

I have an MSI board and unfortunately I can only see the speed for 2 fans (CPU + pump).

At the very bottom of https://github.com/Fred78290/nct6687d, I find the following note:

"Only CPU & Pump show RPM values.

If you have an MSI motherboard, try using module parameter fan_config=msi_alt1."

How can I use the parameter with the “Nuvoton NCT6687 Driver” plugin?

How do you use the AM Vendor Reset plugin? I am getting the reset bug on my Windows VM on Ryzen 9 9950x.
The iGPU would work at first VM boot but subsequent VM boot would have Code 43

You can‘t because the plugin is not designed to support your iGPU.

Only Polaris, Vega and Navi are supported.

I think so, but I‘m not 100% sure since another user reported that it doesn‘t work anymore like it should.

However you can always use a live distro to flash the card.

Add this to your syslinux.conf:

nct6687.fan_config=msi_alt1

Should look something like that and of course with your parameter:

Thank you for your help, unfortunately the module does not seem to know the parameter at all:

Where did you have that parameter from, I thought it was a recommendation from the maintainers repository?

If the parameter doesn't work please create an issue on the Issue tracker on GitHub from the maintainer since it seems that you've passed over the parameter correctly but the module itself complains about not recognizing it.

Yes, directly from the GitHub page: https://github.com/Fred78290/nct6687d

I'll see if I can find out more there...

Thank you

Is there any chance of getting an updated version for unraid as well?

On what Unraid version are you?

Sorry but I only compile the plugin packages when a new Unraid version is released.

I'm on 7.1.4

Then I'll just have to wait. I'll survive somehow... 😀

This is the support thread for multiple Plugins like:

  • AMD Vendor Reset Plugin

  • Coral TPU Driver Plugin

  • hpsahba Driver Plugin

Please always include for which plugin that you need help also the Diagnostics from your server and a screenshots from your container template if your issue is related to a container.

Hi @ich777 !

I'll soon be trying to set up Unraid on a PC with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. Not sure how familiar you are with that, but this device has a whole bunch of stuff integrated into it, including a GPU and NPU. I'm not sure to what extent Unraid and/or Slackware kernels support the components of this AMD APU. Furthermore, I'm not sure how easy/difficult it is to get the newest version of AMD ROCm on Unraid/Slackware. So, I have a few questions for you:

  1. Do you have any feedback or ideas on how to ensure I can get appropriate / updated drivers for the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 on Unraid

  2. Do you think your Unraid Plugin Update Helper could be the basis for providing more updated driver support for an AMD processor like the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 ?

  3. If "yes" to #2, is there any way I could help create that plugin?

Should work but please note that I'm not super sure if the GPU and NPU is already supported by the Kernel which Unraid is currently using.

Usually not because in Linux all the drivers are built into the Kernel but I'm not too familiar with this Hardware. If it's a third party driver which you need to compile, then maybe yes.

Depends what you need, if it's a simple plugin it's usually easy and quick to set up.

According to the manufacturer I'm going with, the minimum Linux Kernel version that supports this AMD hardware is 6.11, but they recommend 6.15 or the latest. As I understand, Unraid currently uses 6.12.24-Unraid, so I'm thinking the hardware will be at least basically supported. I guess I'm just not familiar enough with Slackware to know whether there are any options to update driver packages on Unraid to newer versions.

For Unraid this is a special case because the Kernel and drivers and firmwares are located in the different bz files and you need a special dev environment for this.

However there are custom Kernels out there, which are of course newer but might introduce instability and you'll never know what is included else. :)

I can build drivers if you tell me which one, but do keep in mind for in tree drivers (which ship with the Kernel itself) you would need a newer Kernel.

Copy that! Thank you @ich777 ! Appreciate ya! Once I get everything set up and have a chance to dig in, I'll circle back here... probably with more questions, haha.

I have this exact card in my unRAID 7.1.4 and also my PC, and the plugin's msftlint crashes for me with a 'segmentation fault'.

I've found this GH issue: https://github.com/Mellanox/mstflint/issues/1157

Seems like ConnectX-3 got deprecated in msftlint v4.30.0-1 and the plugin uses v4.31.0.

I have ConnectX-4 incoming (should be here ~2 months from now)- will update if they work.

Sorry but I will deprecate the plugin because it's too complicated to maintain, each card needs almost it's own version from mft.

However you should be able to flash your card by booting into a live distribution.
