  1. Hey @binhex, it took almost 2 years till someone tested that but I can report it works. Added env vars for http_proxy and https_proxy manually, maybe empty defaults for those could be added to make others aware of that functionality. FYI why I needed to use this: I have trouble tunneling plex through a VPN container via --net=container:. The Plex app on my LG CX TV (WebOS 6.0) times out, Android or web Plex does work though. I assume it's iptables related but couldn't figgure out what was causing it. I reported that in your binhex - Plex thread. EDIT: I had to revert the proxy settings, for some reason it made my TV start transcoding stuff...
  2. Hi all, I tried setting up the plex container to use the network of sabnzbdvpn - I've done so for many other containers with success. In the browser and android app that works, what I can't get to work is the app on my LG TV. Any idea what that could be? I replicated all the port rules from the plex container ... here are the port mappings: Also I set up those variables: VPN_INPUT_PORTS 8989,9897,7878,6767,8181,1900,3005,32400,32410,32412,32413,32414,32469,8324 VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS 32400 Not sure about VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS but it doesn't work either if I remove it. Any idea what might be blocking the TV app to see the server? PS: It's an LG CX so WebOS 6.0 with the official Plex app.
  3. Hi, I tried running one of JBOPS scripts but it fails because no module 'requests' can be found: I tried installing the module but pip isn't available. I'm not that good with python, maybe it's just something stupid ... hope someone can help! Regards, epp
  4. Hey Jonathan, here's the stuff you've asked for: slave container: docker run -d --name='binhex-sonarr' -e TZ="Europe/Berlin" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -e 'UMASK'='000' -e 'PUID'='99' -e 'PGID'='100' -v '/mnt/user/downloads/nzbget/':'/data':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/tvshows/':'/media':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/appdata/binhex-sonarr':'/config':'rw' --net=container:nzbgetvpn 'binhex/arch-sonarr' host container: docker run -d --name='nzbgetvpn' --net='bridge' --privileged=true -e TZ="Europe/Berlin" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -e 'VPN_ENABLED'='yes' -e 'STRONG_CERTS'='no' -e 'VPN_USER'='VPN_USER' -e 'VPN_PASS'='VPN_PASS' -e 'VPN_REMOTE'='nl.privateinternetaccess.com' -e 'VPN_PORT'='1198' -e 'VPN_PROV'='pia' -e 'VPN_PROTOCOL'='udp' -e 'LAN_NETWORK'='' -p '6789:6789/tcp' -p '8989:8989/tcp' -p '9897:9897/tcp' -v '/mnt/user/downloads/nzbget/':'/data':'rw' -v '/etc/localtime':'/etc/localtime':'ro' -v '/mnt/user/appdata/nzbgetvpn':'/config':'rw' 'jshridha/docker-nzbgetvpn' an I'm expecting the slave container's UI to be reachable under
  5. Hello, I've set up one of my containers network traffic to be routed through the network of another one, basicly what spaceinvaderone describes in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znSu_FuKFW0 Now internally everything works, the "slave" container gets the network connection from the host and everything is operational. The one thing I cannot figure out is how to access the slave containers web UI. I've tried adding the ports to the master (as said in the video above), recreating the containers, using different containers (and images) entirely, but nothing helps. In the comments of the video linkes above someone seems to recently had the same problem, asking if the new unraid ssl cert might be causing issues with port passthroughs. I have no idea how that could be related but I thought I'd mention it here... Any ideas? Best regards, epp
Danke schonmal! LG, epp
  7. Hello, I have an ASrock x570m Pro4 board and a Intel AX200 M.2 WiFi / BT module installed. Passthrough of the WiFi network controller works without a hitch but I struggle with the BT module... It's recognized as an USB device (via M.2 type E) and added to USB bus 1. The problem is that my unraid USB drive which is installed internally is also added to USB bus 1 and since it's on the same controller, I cannot pass it through my VM. I tried different internal USB ports, the drive is always recognized as being connected to bus 1. I have no idea how to influence where the BT module is connected to, I assume it's fixed on bus 1. Any idea how to split those two up? I guess plugging in the USB drive to an external port might do the trick, but I don't want to break up my neat build... Hope someone has an idea! Thanks, Denis
LG, epp
  10. Hello, I've set up my phone so it syncs all taken pictures to my server. What I keep thinking of is a way to detect documents which are then moved out of my nextcloud share to a document management system like paperless. I'd like to avoid having to use a dedicated app for that, some automated detection method on the server would be awesome. Anyone an idea how to achieve that? Cheers
  11. Noone using a x1 PCIe network card?
  12. I want to pass through a dedicated NIC to my VM and only have one free x1 PCIe slot available. I'm more interested in compatibility and stability than getting 2.5 or 5 GBit/s, but that would be a bonus. The only card I found being x1 PCIe and offering that higher speeds is the QNAP QXG-5G1T-111C which isn't supported from what I read here on the forums. Can you suggest a fitting NIC? Thanks!
  13. Managed to solve it myself thanks to the many helpful posts in this forum 😃 For anyone who stubles over the same problem: edited the VM in xml view, added video and sound device to same virtual slot and marked video device as multifunction see this video, exact timestamp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlTVANDndpM&t=250s downloaded vbios of techpowerup and removed header - for some reason I don't understand my own vbios dump of that card did not work... see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IP-h9IKof0
  14. Hi there, I am currently trying to get GPU passthrough running. I have successfully installed Win10 on a passed through NVME, so passthrough itself works. Now I've tried to switch from VNC to my single GPU (a GTX 770) but I can't get a picture to show up. When booting up with both VNC and the 770 as graphics adapters I can see that the graphics card is beeing detected in the device manager though. Here is some additional system info: Not sure what else you need, just give me a hint and I'll try to deliver What I've tried so far: - made a vbiod dump and added it to the vm: no change - booted VM with both VNC and GPU and installed Nvidia drivers: no change, even after removing VNC - changed unraid server boot mode to UEFI, starting the VM crashed my whole server, VMs were then disabled in VM Manager I already made a dump of my vbios and added that, nothing changed. I also booted up with VNC and GPU and installed the NVidia drivers, no change - but didn't expect that to change something since I can't even see the bootup screen. Pretty sure it's not related to the Win10 install... Now I've found a post here on the forums that suggests I need to tell unraid to stop using the GPU itself but that was from the 6.3.9 times and since so much has changed. Is doing that still even necessary? Any idea how to proceed? Maybe the card is too old?
  15. Hey koaly, I ended up getting the x570m pro4 too Very happy with it so far, about to setup my gaming vm.
