I recently tried CBB after some time to backup some files to a remote unraid server using a vpn and mount this server a remote share on mine. I set a remote share as the backup storage in CBB using "file system" as storage using the /storage/remotes/REMOTESERVER/ path. I tried some folders with some small files and after a while unraid noticed my that my docker file is growing to ~85% from like 75%. Is CBB backup up the files to the docker file at first time or did I something set up the wrong way? Thanks a lot!

Danke für die Erläuterung. Ich würde meinen Server gerne als "einfachen" Client im anderen Netzwerk haben. Das geht aber dann wohl nicht so einfach weil ich ja hier lokal über die GUI und meiner lokalen IP auch darauf zugreifen muss. Dann muss ich wohl die IP Range der Fritzbox bei den Eltern ändern

Ob der Tunnel und meinen unraid Server zum Remote-Netzwerk wirklich zustande kommt kann ich wohl nicht 100% bestätigen, ich dachte der Handshake wäre die Bestätigung aber mehr als ein paar KB fließen wohl nicht. Beide Adressbereiche der Fritzboxen sind gleich jeweils 192.168.178.0/24. Mit dem Smartphone klappt die Verbindung aus allen Netze, WLAN in meine unraid Netz und auch über LTE oder das WLAN bei der Arbeit.

Hallo zusammen, ich würde mich mit meinem unraid Server gerne bei Bedarf über WireGuard mit dem Synology NAS in einem Elternhaus verbinden. Im Elternhaus läuft bereits seit längerem ein WireGuard Server auf Raspberry. Aktuell greifen ich auf über diesen VPN Server über die Wireguard App auf meinem Smartphone problemlos auf das Netzwerk zu. Daher habe ich mir aus der Android App die Tunnelconfig exportiert und wollte diese auf dem unraid System importieren. Das klappt auch soweit, d.h. ein Handshake zum zustande aber leider erreiche ich keine entfernten IP Adressen wie z.B. das NAS. Mir fällt leider nicht ein was hier das Problem sein könnte, da die config Datei auf dem Smartphone ja einwandfrei funktioniert. Die beiden Verbindungen von Smartphone und unraid über das gleiche Profil habe ich nie gleichzeitig laufen lassen, da das ja natürlich Probleme verursacht. Hello everyone, yesterday my cache drive ran full / out of space and after that my docker containers aren´t working anymore. All the docker files are located on the cache drive (vDisk: /mnt/user/system/docker/docker.img, appdata: /mnt/user/appdata/) When I try to start a container I am getting "Execution error Error code 403" or "Execution error Server error". The live log for the contianer shows e":"open /var/lib/docker/containers/xyz: read-only file system" I ran Balance Status (Perform full balance) and Scrub Status (with Repair corrupted blocks) on the cache drives but it didn´t change anything. Also read on the forum to delete the docker.img, is this the way to go? Or can I try something else? Thanks

Hello everyone, I just upgraded my system with a new mainboard (MSI H510I Pro WIFI) and a new CPU (i3 10105) Everything works great except the sleep mode out of unRAID. When I hit the sleep button in the GUI the system shuts down with a hard shutdown. No WoL works and after the the start unRAID tells me "unclear shutdown detected" and wants to to a parity check. It worked fine with my old combo and running the all time (unfortunately) is no option due to the high electricity costs. Is there anything I can do / try to get it working? Maybe someone is using the same mainboard and can tell me there experience? Thanks

Hello everyone, a few days ago I upgraded the cpu and mainboard but tonight the system shutdown itself unclean. I really have no clue the caused the problem, normally the system should go to sleep with the Dynamix S3 Sleep plugin. Thanks for the fast reply Djoss! I changed the host port, that´s what I ment and did. my fault. I remove the duplicated settings and wipe the browser cache when I am at home after work. Write back later. Edit: I selected the wrong network "mode" yesterday. I set it to bridge but the right one is my custom br0 network Now it´s working again! But a big thanks anyway!

Hello everyone, I updated my server with new hardware (mainboard and cpu) and now I couldn´t connect to my jdownloader web GUI anymore. First I showed an error "could connect to the server" and now I could not even start the GUI. I changed the ports but the container always tries to open port 5800 even if this port isn´t assigned anywere (see the screenshot). The "strange" thing is docker itself is running, I can access it through the myjdownloader webinterface, so really just the docker GUI isn´t working. I there anything I could try? Thanks

Hello everyone, I swapped my USB flash drive and restored it with the flash backup file from My Servers. I flashed the new drive with the USB Creator and selected the local ZIP file. After booting from the new usb drive my server login page prompt me "Please set a password for the root user account" Did I miss something while restoring or is this the normal way it goes? I thought / read after restoring you just can boot up the server and swap the licence key after booting up. If this isn´t the case is the simplest solution just to copy the config folder from the old drive? I just want to keep all my server, plugins and docker settings. Thanks a lot

Thanks for your answers. I didn´t turn down the disk by hand I set them to spin down after 30 min by themself. Today my server crashed so I am going to post the diagnostics tormorrow, sorry I didn´t think about it right away

I am still getting randam freezes. Could it even be the unraid USB stick? Maybe I shoud change it....

Is it possible to the SMART scan at another time? Maybe 4 or 7 pm? At these times the disks are normally runnung and at 0:00 they are spun down. Thanks a lot

Hello everyone, something strange happend to my krusader docker a few minutes ago. It just disappers / uninstalled itself while I was copying some files to my backup NAS at my mom's house with ftp. I installed it again through CA, installed without any problems but after starting the docker a my settings and bookmarks are gone 😔. Is it possible to restore these config files with an older CA_backup file? If so what's the best way to do it, straight on unraid with midnight commander oder simple with the windows explorer? Thanks a lot!

too bad, thanks anyway. I swapped the power supply a while ago, maybe I swap it again to check. Also gonna check the RAM with some testing tools

Hello everyone, a few weeks ago my server started to freeze from time to time. It happens again about an hour ago. The system keeps running but I can't log into the GUI or even ping the system. Only chance to get the server up and response again is a hard shutdown with the power button. It happens on different times and on all kinds of different loads. I run a couple of dockers and one Win10 VM. Is it possible to get any logs after a hard shutdown? At the moment the server is still running so I could try "something" you suggest. I really have no idea what could be the problem. Maybe the RAM, the mainboard or the power supply. Thanks a lot

thanks for the replay. It is a quite old synology but maybe wireguard is option. at the moment at my mom's house a wireguard server my remote support is running anyway

Hello everyone, is it possible to add a remote Synology NAS with Unassigned Devices via the internet? The NAS is reachable through the Synology dynDNS service with the address "mom.myds.me" (not the real name). Uploads with filezilla and this adress are also possilbe. My main questions 1) is it possible? and 2) if so what is the right "mounting term" to connect it with Unassigned Devices I am running Version: 6.9.2 and Unassigned Devices 2021.04.19 Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have 2 NICs on my mainboard, currently working as bond0 with adaptive load balancing. Is it possible to run the Wireguard VPN (unraid server as client) at eth0 and the "normal" local ethernet / internet at eth1? I imported a working config file from my phone and my unraid server connected WG-server. (The Wireguard server is at my mom's house and there should my backups go with rsync / rclone) Thanks!
