  1. So I built a new PC. It is focused on software development but rarely play games. Got a RTX 3060. I would say 90% of the time its mostly unused. So I am curious to ideas for making use of the graphics card. I know maybe still a little crypto but not really sure. Toss out your suggestions.
  2. Right now when you click the notification button it drops down to the 3 levels of info/warnings/errors then you have to click view then the next button. It seems cumbersome and not very intuitive. This probably would be best like something the forum has. Unraid already has them colored for info/warning/error, so I think having them in categories within the dropdown is too much. Click notifications button and see all notifications and since they are colored you can immediately tell the type of notification.
  3. Well I would echo out the file after editing to ensure changes persisted. But its a brand new flash drive and the changes are there now. Just not sure why it didn't work a few times.
  4. Not a staff member associated with Unraid but with my experience as an admin of a forum with tapatalk enabled, it wasn't possible to remove that. Forums get a free mobile app without any development work and Tapatalk gets to force those things for Tapatalk to make money with their Tapatalk app. To sum it up I don't think there is an option to disable that
  5. The usb stuff is just for persisting a printer to a specific path to a docker print server. hdparm is suggested from common fixes. My problem is it is reverting back to hdparm -W 1 /dev/sdh. But I have changed it multiple times and it reverts. And for some reason it didn't this time. Quite strange.
  6. I am adding hdparm -W 1 /dev/sdi before the emhttp option in the /boot/config/go file. Upon reboot it reverts back to previous before my changes. I have confirmed the file is changed by cat'ing the file out and shows the new changes. Any ideas what might be going on? tower-diagnostics-20230630-1053.zip
  7. So I am trying to passthrough a second USB port or controller to a second VM. I passed one through without and issue and trying to do a second but it looks like they are all grouped together. Do I have any options in this case? All PCIe slots will be filled and won't have room for to add a USB card in. Thanks for any tips. tower-diagnostics-20230614-1932.zip
  8. I think I figured out why scrutiny was being weird. I just move unraid to new setup and didn't move multiple drives. I think it just got confused and used old drive data with new serial numbers and such. Nuked scrutiny and reloaded it and everything looks fine now. But unraid dashboard is showing a smart error on array. I am assuming it is this drive. tower-smart-20230614-1058.zip
  9. Ok thanks. Scrutiny is saying there's an error on that drive so wanted to get human input.
  10. I got this drive back from warranty claim. Should this be returned? Not sure how to interpret smart issues. This is the current parity drive so want to make sure its good in there before forgetting about it. Thanks tower-smart-20230614-0959.zip
  11. Yeah. No matter how long I leave it I can never ping the server or view the webgui
  12. I moved unraid to a new system. Data related everything is fine. But selecting the video card in Tools-System Devices causes unraid to not boot. It gets a point and freezes. The cursor even quits blinking. Only option at that point is hard reboot. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20230612-1803.zip
  13. I have been out of the computer building world quite a few years. I am looking for something to run Unraid on that can serve as a "1 PC, 2 gamer" setup. Ultimately, Planet Zoo/Coaster is the most demanding game we play. We mostly do older stuff like skyrim and fallout games. I do not see the near future playing a new AAA game. My problem with the motherboard is knowing how to tell if the motherboard can passthrough GPUs separately. What is the key thing I need to look for? As for CPU need a suggestion for that also. That can occasionally handle 2 games running at once but will not be all the time at all. But of course run plenty of docker containers. Currently have a server running a Xeon E3-1271 v3 that handles everything I need including plex without issue and runs at barely 25% usage. Thanks is advance for any suggestions.
  14. Putting it behind a reverse proxy should work. But I haven't really looked at this since I submitted it and probably should take it down. I moved to homepage as it works better for what I need.
  15. This is a fork from here and added Canon Drivers. Supported devices: TS530I G600 G500 TS3500 TR4600 XK500 TS8530 XK100 TS7530 TS7450I
  16. What does the plex logs say?
  17. Yeah. Just figured that out a few mins ago. I can't modify the host port on it if doing it this way. Thanks!
  18. Yeah I had done that but still not able to connect. 8985 is the web ui port
  19. So completely new to openvpn on unraid. I have OpenVPN client container working without issue. Is there a way I can set up a docker container to only use the vpn for egress, but still allow incoming on the public interface?
  20. Support thread for Uptime Kuma API. I did not create this, only the Unraid template. https://github.com/MedAziz11/Uptime-Kuma-Web-API
  21. I had a somewhat similar issue but I could never get it fixed. But the syslinux options you can try that are posted in this thread.
  22. Its the latest BIOS and 3 years old. I don't have another PC to test it in. All I have a mini ITX builds without a PCIe slot. Guess its time to have a real server buildout.
