  1. I decided to sell some spare hardware and I’m looking to purchase another 18TB HDD so I can put it in my array. I have a 5 bay enclosure currently and wanted to reduce the drive count and at the same time add more capacity. All the data currently on the array will fit on one of the new drives how do I accomplish this without loosing any data? I’m only aware of one drive being replaced at a time.
  2. CPU: Intel 8400 MB: Intel z-37–a RAM: 16 GB 2666 mhz Cache Drive: 1 TB NVME Array: 4 x WD Red 4 TB UD: EXOS 18TB All drives are Sata I can do a speed test (via docker) and get 2.5gbps (switch is only 2.5 gbps) but other then that, I can only transfer date to the array at ~150-250 mbps. Sometimes it does spike a bit faster but never any sustain speeds above 250mbps. Is there a different protocol I can use that would allow me to mount the drive in macOS and also be faster? I’m trying to figure out if my hardware is limiting me or is it another setting or something else. I’m sure I’m not the first to ask this so if there’s another thread that addresses this, let me know what look for in that thread.
  3. I have been trying to setup nextcloud AIO for weeks now but I am unable to get it working. Looking at the logs it see : I'm not sure how to fix this and I'm not sure if it causing my issue. I get a error, DNS does not point to this server error.
  4. Has anyone gotten this working on Unraid? I've been trying for a few weeks with no luck.
  5. I tried installing it directly through unraid but when I go to the address at the end it pulls up the nextcloud login but it never gives me the password as it does with the Ubuntu install. Can anyone chime in with some help?
  6. I’m trying to setup the all in one instance of nextcloud. I’m ultimately trying to get better performance out of nextcloud. It seems like I’m missing something when setting up but I don’t know what it is. I have nextcloud already running but its not the AIO.
  7. I attempted to setup Nextcloud AIO on Unraid but I can't seem to get to work. I tried using an Ubuntu VM and a guide but I get an error saying the DNS doesn't point to this server. I have no idea what could be causing the issue. I have spend days trying to set it up but nothing works.
  8. I’m trying speed up Nextcloud by using my nvme drive for cache. I know Nextcloud uses a Data base but Im not sure what the paths are actually used for. Can someone look at this and tell me if this set right to have data put in Nextcloud (as in files I upload to Nextcloud) first go to the cache drive then when the mover runs, transfer to my array (disks)?
  9. Nextcloud was working fine but now I’m getting a host error. I can’t even access it locally either. Where do I begin to fix it?
  10. I had consistent TimeMachine backups going to my server and my Mac got a bad update and I had to restore it. When I tried to restore from the time machine backup, it kept say the address was invalid so I ended up changing the share name to take out the spaces. After I did that, all my backups are now gone. Is there a way to recover my backups? The folder size was 2 or so TB's but now it's 46GB.
  11. I can't access Nextcloud when using safari? Chrome works fine but not safari.
  12. Nextcloud keeps reloading the page when I use safari (on MacOS or iOS), but if I use chrome I don't have the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this? Lots of time has been spent searching but nothing so far has worked.
  13. How can I change my database to a different database for Nextcloud? I tried just changing it in next cloud and I started getting a database error. I also tried reinstalling Nextcloud with the new location and that didn’t work either.
  14. Update, I see it mounted the disk as a folder but it just wasn't visible in UNRAID. I moved on to other things and saw that a new root folder when I connect to the server.
  15. I made it that far on my own. But when I add a share, the new drive isn't listed.
  16. For the time being, I just want to use it as network drive, but how do I add a share to it? UD I thought made it possible but I can't mount the drive.
  17. photoprism keeps freezing on upload. I set it up yesterday and I can upload limited small amounts of photos. ie. 200-500photos. In total I have aprox 10,000 photos I want to backup but if I select all to upload, it will freeze at some point. It's not consistently stopping on the same number. I have a mysql data base to try to remedy the issue but that made no change.
  18. No ideas, anyone?
  19. I first NAS is a QNAP that currently using. I started building my UNRAID server and was waiting till I get it fully set up and comfortable with it before I switch over. QNAP Seagate EXOS 18tb- Data drive Western Digital Blue 1 TB- cache drive UNRAID Western Digital RED 8TB Western Digital RED 4TB Western Digital RED 4TB Western Digital RED 4TB What are my options for redundant storage when I put the seagate drive in UNRAID?
  20. SOLVED Ultimately the issue was resolved. Problem was the fact that I had a CAT6 cable connecting two switches on my network. With several cables in the area where I keep these switches, I didn't realize that the cable was connecting the two switches.
  21. I verified my Mac MTU and Unraid are both set to 1500. Both were already set so no change.
  22. I also have a PC on the same network that is getting the same speeds with Unraid.
  23. I’ll try what you said. Are you saying my router and computer should have the same MTU set to 1500? Not sure if my router can can be set (AmpliFi Alien).
  24. @vr2gb This is what you requested. It’s connected to the 2.5g switch and plugged into the 10g NIC.
  25. Yesterday, I found a new motherboard Asus Z370-a and got the NIC working correctly. 2.5g switch doesn't have a 1g port but I do have a separate switch on the network that is 1g. It didn't make any difference on speeds when connected to either switch.
