Dynamix File Integrity plugin
bonienl, the plugin ran its scheduled check last night and I got several emails telling me that a number of static media files (.mkv's) had failed their check and were "corrupt". I don't run any software that could change these files. My issue is this, I only re-ran the check to hash these files 48hours ago. If these notifications are to be believed then that means that in the space of 24 hours I have encountered betroth on these files which are held on what is a fairly new drive too? Could I perhaps be experiencing issues because I have rebuilt and exported a few times (see above post when I thought the instruction to re-apply settings was to do a full rebuild and export) when new releases of the plugin came out recently??

[Plugin] IPMI for unRAID 6.1+
Backward!!?? Easy! Nowhere can be backward that has great weather, bbq's and drive through bottle shops in my book! Even if the toilet water goes a different way! Trust me I was born and lived in the UK for 25 years and the water went clockwise. The place sucked. Anyway - your latest version fixed the issue. No clearing of browser cache or anything. Definitely a Plugin Issue (or was). Had a glance at the pending functionality for fan control. Exciting!

Awwww. Spoil Sport. It would have been really nice to mount a protected pool outside the array!

Dynamix File Integrity plugin
Dude!! Lots of updates at the moment Can you please define what you mean by "re-apply settings"?? I have updated a few times recently and each time I have Remove, Build, Export. Takes a While - is this the correct procedure? Re-apply settings means on the settings page you need to press the apply button. To enable the apply button just make a change and change it back. There is no need to do any of the control commands (build, export, etc..) Bugger! LOL!! Oh well, gave the disks some exercise!! Love the new exclude options BTW. .nfo added to exclude and ticked the apple data box!! Great stuff! Thanks!!

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
I've swung again (sat here over my coffee before I get into mid month project finance reviews) and I'm sharing RobJ's view which brings me back to this excellent plugin which of course I am currently using. So, long story short (I know - too late ) - do you think Unassigned Devices could be developed to manage a btrfs array? Would LT allow for the stripped down version (as RobJ referred to it) of the Cache Pool code to make its way into this Plugin? Just thinking out loud .... It does appear that this was asked in the previous thread here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38635.msg376126;topicseen#msg376126 The response (as I interpret it) was that if a btrfs pool is set up prior and one of the disks is mounted then the entire pool is mounted. So far it appears it is untested as this is where the discussion appeared to end.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Dan, purely academic right now but what do you think about btrfs pool managed outside the Array? For those who are thinking of jumping in and are going to point me in the direction of the Cache drive - lets just say I know about it. I started a thread in the lounge prompting a discussion as to whether I "needed" a disk managed outside the array (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46811.0) and as usually the big hitters came back in fine form with some good arguments to get the thought juices going. When I went to bed last night I'd almost convinced myself that I didn't need to do this anymore (I'll let you read the posts in that thread if you're interested rather than repeat them here). Then I woke up and read RobJ's comment: I've swung again (sat here over my coffee before I get into mid month project finance reviews) and I'm sharing RobJ's view which brings me back to this excellent plugin which of course I am currently using. So, long story short (I know - too late ) - do you think Unassigned Devices could be developed to manage a btrfs array? [Support] binhex - Emby
Emby creates .nfo / .xml / .jpg files to store your Media METADATA. You can select a custom location for these files in Server Settings but AFAIK they are required. Note: .xml is still being used by allot of the Emby community enough for it to be continued to be supported for now BUT I believe it will be phased out as soon as the team deem it will impact on a small few. P.S. Emby is Awesome!

[Plugin] IPMI for unRAID 6.1+
I'll check it out. The switch is cookie based. So it could be a problem with browser settings. I thought so too, which is why i tried it in Chrome. I don't use Chrome on my Mac's except for the odd exception web site which Safari doesn't display properly (which TBH these days is few and far between). Safari is pretty much default apart from basic changes (such as homepage etc) BUT the settings in Chrome are just default as it is hardly every used. Indeed the previous versions of the plugin worked perfectly and nothing has changed on my clients since previous versions. For kicks - just tried it on the iPad (Safari), Windows 10 VM (Edge - Default Settings), Ubuntu 15.10 VM (Firefox - Default Settings) and iPhone (Safari) too. Exactly the same in each browser.

[Plugin] IPMI for unRAID 6.1+
I've noticed what appears to be a fault in the latest version of the plugin. It appears that Basic View and Advanced View Columns and data are mixed up. When Basic View is selected it shows Basic View Columns BUT Advanced View Data AND when Advanced View is selected it shows Advanced View Columns but Basic View Data. Tested in Chrome and Safari and the issue appears in both. I am running the following OS and browser versions: OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.2 Safari Version 9.0.2 (11601.3.9) Chrome Version 48.0.2564.103 (64-bit) See Screenshots:

Preclear plugin
I had this happen to me with 2 disks running simultaneous pre clears. Each disk was through cycle 2 of 3 when the power outage happened. There was no UPS. You are the 2nd reported case AFAIK. As a result of the outage I was unlucky enough to have S.M.A.R.T errors on both disks for S.M.A.R.T attribute: 187 Reported incorrect This attribute value increased and was something that will forever be recorded in the S.M.A.R.T attributes which will never go away. Thankfully I can now "acknowledge" them in unRAID so that I don't receive notifications for them constantly. Anyway, to your issue. A summary of what I was advised is recorded from the follows post within the Seagate 8TB thread onwards: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36749.msg364268#msg364268 In short I just run another 3 cycles again. I don't like to skimp on disk preparation. It holds all my data after sensitive data after all. All worked out well and the two disks have been in service ever since with no other issues at all. Indeed I also run a S.M.A.R.T short test (before the pre clears) then the 3 pre clear cycles then a S.M.A.R.T long (extended) test post pre clears as this (if nothing else) puts a nice entry into the S.M.A.R.T report log with a timestamp that all is good (good advice from WeeboTech). Have a read. Good Luck!

[Support] Linuxserver.io - OpenVPN AS
You can't use this for that directly. Not sure what you mean by "safe". Most services (e.g. gmail, Microsoft etc) allow connections over https which means client to server the downloads are encrypted. Anyway - to do what I think you want - the easiest way is to run a vpn client on your router. To route all traffic and be truly private you will need a router with a fair bit of kick and have your configuration well and truly sorted (e.g. to prevent dns leaks etc). Alternatively - if you use a specific protocol like torrents - you can just search "vpn" in Community Applications Plugin on v6.x. Community Applications: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40262.0 This plugin will allow you to easily search for and add any of the unRaid docker or plugin applications. A tab then appears on your server called "Apps" and via that tab you can search for the following: Torrent: binhex - DelugeVPN: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45812.0 NZB #1: binhex-sabnzbdvpn: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45822.0 NZB #2: nzbgetvpn: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38930.0

[Support] Linuxserver.io - OpenVPN AS
This is not a VPN Client it is a VPN Server. This docker is like the IPVanish Service you are trying to connect to but your own server and connection. This is not going to mask your privacy like the VPN services you quote as any client connection you make will essentially route the connection via the ISP your server is sat behind. Unless of course your router (which manages your ISP connection) is configured to route all traffic via a VPN Service like the one you want. What are you actually trying to acheive?

Can I suggest that you put this in the first post. Not everyone scrolls down and or goes through other posts before installing.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
I followed this procedure - as soon as I removed the old version of UD, my Docker vanished. There was no Docker tab on the main UI screen, CA told me that Docker was not enabled (I checked Docker settings, and that told me that Docker was enabled), and docker ps returned the following: root@Tower:~# docker ps Get http:///var/run/docker.sock/v1.19/containers/json: dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: no such file or directory. Are you trying to connect to a TLS-enabled daemon without TLS? After re-installing UD, I rebooted and docker came back. I would suggest that the advice that a reboot is not necessary should be taken with a great degree of caution. Interesting. Was your docker .img file hosted on one of the disks mounted outside the array or perhaps some docker config folders (although I think the latter there would only impact a container starting? If NOT then I can't see how UD impacted docker in any way!? If one of your disks mounted outside the array DID hold your docker .img the addition to the instructions would be to disable docker first IF you are going to either start your array after reboot and before you install the new version of UD OR you have your array to auto start. I'd also be backing up my docker .img file and assigning a different location first! As for the reboot (if the above is not your case) I can't see how you are EVER put in a position to be cautious over a reboot after the uninstall of a plugin. Not to mention a reboot after uninstall was advised by the Plugin notes from very early days with this plugin I believe if you HAVENT tied the operation of another function of unRAID to something running on an UD disk!
-
Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Did this procedure happen to have you uninstall a previous version of UD and install of a newer one?? UD doesn't uninstall cleanly and requires a reboot between installations to work correctly is my understanding. Either way I would recommend this. Uninstall. Reboot. Install. See if the issue is fixed?

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Yes, it affects USB devices. I thought of that and was waiting for some feedback on whether or not it was important to anyone. The auto mount did cause someone some problems. Isn't a config option more convenient then just remove it for all users? It can be defaulted to "No" to avoid any problems, if necessary. Tnx FWIW I prefer to have it set the Plugin to not do anything automatically in the first instance. I only use Auto mount and once the Plugin is installed (which I have only had to do once or twice anyway) I flick a switch to Auto mount and its configured permanently from then on just the same. Don't use the scripting.

Speedtest.net for unRAID 6.1+
The missing quotes didn't fix it? I'm gonna rearrange some things and see. FWIW I have NO issues in Safari with this Plugin. I have checked Chrome too - and IF anything there is actually an issue there with the visibility of the "remove all" link. For me it is no issue though as I don't use Chrome. If it helps I am running: OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.2 (15C50) on an iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) Safari Version 9.0.2 (11601.3.9) Chrome Version 48.0.2564.103 (64-bit) Screen shots below: Safari Chrome Let me know if you need any help.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Nmap was used to map NFS servers on the current network, so if you didn't include the NFS part of the code, it isn't necessary. As you took the 19.09 version of gfjardim as a basis for further development, I wonder which features of the newer gfjardim versions are no longer available in your newest version? gfjardim's change log: 2015.11.18 - Fix: better logging - Add: force unmount after 5 attempts 2015.09.28b - debug: debug version 2015.09.25 - Fix: minor fixes 2015.09.22b - Add: NFS share mount The NFS share mount was added to this version. I don't know why, but he was in the process of rearranging the code. As I looked through his latest version, I saw a lot of things that were broken. I extracted what I could use from that version. I chose not to use his 2015.11.18 version because I didn't want to troubleshoot half-written code and too much was not working. If anyone that was successful in using his latest version sees any feature I missed, let me know. This was because I was modularizing the code, so with little work we could map NFS shares and mount ISO or other images. It wasn't half-written, just had some bugs to iron out. I'm disappointed you took this step and forked an inferior version of the code. Now, when I resume the development, it will be more difficult to include any improvements you made. See, I don't blame you on moving ahead since I had some setbacks and didn't had the time to work on this. But this arbitrary choice of yours resulted in two codes that can't be reconciled without a lot of work. Welcome Back Guilherme! It is VERY nice and comforting to read that you are OK and that the challenges / setbacks in your life have been overcome to see you actively rejoin the community. I fully understand setbacks in life. As a Project Manager of very large Complex Projects I am unfortunately made acutely aware of how many people experience setbacks and their impacts on their ability to maintain their contribution in life. Lots of People. Everyday. I make a point of always making every effort to re-integrate and support any individual I can back into a substantive role to facilitate the come back process. You (like many others) are a victim of your success and skill and as such WE MISS YOU when you are not here. In this instance, many community members (myself included AND I think Dan too) came to rely on this plugin as a core component of their IMPORTANT setup. That Credit can only go to you and for that I'd like to speak on behalf of others (which I excuse myself if I speak out of turn here) I thank you. Your plugin made unRAID better IMHO. All that being said, I completely disagree with a number of your comments. I don't want to make a point of all of them BUT one resonates with me and I feel the need to address it. Dan's decision to support us and Fork your code was NOT arbitrary. An arbitrary decision implies a decision that was made with undue use of assumed or given control, random choice, made on a whim or done so without reason. I don't think any of those conditions apply here. If you take the time to go back and read the history leading to the fork I don't believe you will come to this conclusion too. The community - me included - reported an issue which was causing system instability (and while this might be argued - the fact is enough people considered it to be so) and unfortunately while you were managing your issues you were unavailable to help. IMHO - it almost got to a point where a fork was necessary or stop using the plugin. Dan initially communicated he had managed to fix the issue - which thankfully (and I still owe him a beer here) he shared. When "We" asked him IF he would be willing to take over if you didn't return, Dan initially resisted. I believe he was quite rightly apprehensive in his response to this request as I feel he is already one of the more prominent contributors to this wonderful community and to take on more responsibility which, lets be frank, eats into your personal time - takes thought. More time passed and still you didn't return. More and more people had varying issues of varying importance and traffic increased. Ill say it again - the very fact that your development caused so much traffic is only a testament to you and your excellent contribution BUT a downside of that is that people rely on such contributions and a resolution to issues / defects is needed. I won't repeat what RobJ talked about re identifying individuals as backups to continue development for Plugins (Or at least the ones that become so popular and that users depend one for critical functionality) on the unfortunate chance of something happening to one of out community - but I absolutely agree with it. I have noted what I do for a living and ONE of the biggest things I deal with EVERY day managing and dealing with hundreds of people is that while we can feel for individual, give our sympathies and support for whatever is happening - life goes on. It is expected to go on. People DEMAND that it goes on. In addition often people (especially those at the top) DEMAND that it does so without missing a step. This is sort of what happened here I feel. I hope you consider retracting some of what you said to Dan re the decision he made with the thanks of anyone I saw posting, selflessly and under (some probably undue) community pressure. The implication that the code amendments made, were done were substandard, didn't move the Plugin forward or that nothing was improved - I believe is false. I don't agree with that personally nor do I believe the facts support it. I do not blame Dan for responding in the way that he did. I personally wouldn't be interested in doing what you asked either. TBH I think the comments you made about the approach taken to managing your absence didn't help at all. I am not sure about what I think is the best way forward here. Dan has done a fantastic job and his attitude is fantastic. Selfishness doesn't often work in a community in my experience. I don't know either of your plans here BUT FWIW I would sacrifice forecasted enhancements on this plugin FOR the drive, support and attitude Dan has demonstrated any day of the week. If you are to take control again and Dan is to step - my only hope is that you can take on board some of the excellent qualities Dan has demonstrated over the past few months. Once again - I am very glad you are ok. The community is better with you in it. Thats a Fact.

[Support] binhex - Emby
Probably the biggest difference is no automatic updates on restart and stable Emby only, no betas. Thanks for doing this. I will certainly keep this in mind. I run the version: emby/embyserver:latest I did wonder why they released so many updates. I come to unRAID to click update every time I get an email from Emby telling me there is an update. I never really thought about whether I was running BETA software or not. Perhaps I should have. FWIW though, I have NOT had any issue with any version I have installed. It appears (based on my experience) that they thoroughly test each version for major issues (noticeable to the average Joe) so as not to disrupt the user. As I don't open Emby up to the Internet (access it remotely via OpenVPN) I don't have any security issues so as long as it continues to efficiently serve my media to all 7/8 of my clients I am a happy bunny running BETA software! Not sure I'd be so comfy if it was a public accessible service (via an open port on the router). I am sure this will change and I'll make the jump to this container if my experience with the other container changes! Thanks again for contributing!
