So have we decided this is worth running? I uninstalled it because everyone said it was broken and didn't help at all. And might even cause degradation from the constant scans, why run it if you have a parity drive anyway? Guess I'll reinstall it unless someone can give a good reason why not to run it.

Crap I expected that but they slotted in fine and the pins seemed to line up so I never checked further :( I did think it was weird that they went in "upside down" though. Thanks. Rookie mistake on my part.

Main card is an IBM LSI ServeRaid M1015 (IT Mode flashed) and an Intel RES2SV240NC expander card.

Have 4x unsealed sata to sas cables and tried two different ones, no cigar. Are the enclosures the wrong type? Should I return them for a different enclosure? Motherboard only has two nvme slots and I have about 6 nvmes that I'd like to use (obviously transfer speed won't be max possible but that's irrelevant for the intended use) Thanks, Para

smtp tells me it was an email thing in unraid but I deliberately had it try to send me a test email using the wrong password and didn't get anything like this come up.

I'm having a weird bug where on boot my GPU is found fine, but then I go check later and it says Installed GPU(s): No devices were found However Plex can see it; And plex thumbnail generator script that uses the GPU is running right now. There was nothing on the gpu stats dashboard plugin panel, until I selected the igpu; nvidia smi; Right now I am on v575.51.02 because I started from the latest (didn't detect on bootup) and went backwards until I found one that worked, but then it disappeared like this again, and I went back even more. What has happened recently to cause people so many problems?

I had to drop down to using the previous version in order for it to be able to see my Tesla P4. The official previous version. On the latest version of unraid. Or did they fix it after the second recent update?

Does it ask for a password on the web UI or do you need access to the server and plug a scren in?

Ah crap, well, thank you for investigating and figuring it out. I filled that card with 2x 500gb and 2x 1tb drives planned to use for cache and dedicated plex pool. So.. New motherboard? Since I'll also need a CPU, as well as DDR5 ram, unless there's a DDR4 board I could find on ebay that is sufficient(suggestions?), I can't really spend that much, and won't be able to recoup a whole lot from the existing stuff CPU is Intel® Core™ i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz With 64gb ram. A higher gen CPU would let me use the top M2 slot on any board, too, so consider that with any suggestions please. As for the specs I need well, just this is what I'm missing really. Everything else works / is sufficient for my needs.

IT's an MPG Z590 GAMING FORCE In the top slot I have my IBM ServeRaid card, second slot is my Tesla P4, next one down in the small slot I have a wifi on/off switch, and I put it on the bottom one. If I swapped it with the slot the Tesla P4 is in, would I be able to use it fully and still retain ability to use the tesla p4?

Just seeing 1 drive in unassigned devices. I formatted them all exfat before puttingthem in. I have 4 in there.

If plex thumb generator script is running while it tries to update, it causes this crash; And I can't stop the thumb gen container (although it contiues to run normally it seems.) I have to disable docker, reboot, then it works fine. but i've noticed it happens during every update.

I have /mnt/user/data/Games/ on disk2 /Games/ I want to create a Games share and have them be in the share. When I tried to move them, it looked like it was going to take hours when I expected a 5 second quick relocation since they are going to the array. Hiow do I do this properly? Thanks

Yeah that was it really. Downloading and even just having 2 torrents active would slow it from 220mb/s to like 30-40mb/s. It levels out at close to 200 now but strangely it still can go higher if I disable docker and have none of them doing anything to the array (like watching something on plex etc)

Is there a reason why we can't migrate USBs manually more than once or twice a year? I mean, surely you have methods to detect if the same key is being used at the same time on multiple devices for longer than 2 minutes or something and just let us change sticks and manage that yourselves? no?

Had this error all of a sudden; Created a new fat32 UNRAID 64gb SAMSUNG Bar Plus stick, copied files over, ran make bootable, boots fine, but need to transfer my key. I'm still banned for the discord for some reason: @discord - sunwind.actual Really hard to get any quick support without it.

Currently my downloads go to the array. I've bought a 4tb NVME to use as a download drive because I noticed having downloads on while doing a parity sync made it slow to a crawl.

Not for downloads but for the cache drive - will gen3 vs gen4 be noticable at all? does unraid actually use all speed available or is paying more for faster NVMEs a waste? Like right now I have 2x 2TB SSDs which my plex stuff is on and that's at 510gb now, will swapping them out for a couple gen 4 nvmes be noticable? Thanks

Another question; will there be any difference in using a 3,500mb/s NVME drives in raid1 for the cache versus 7,000mb/s NVMEs? because the former are liker £25 and the 7k ones about £70.
