  1. I did change disk 3 and 4 on purpose. did you see anything in logs that is a problem? should I rerun parity? can I be confident my data isn't corrupted? thanks for your response as it is worrisome.
  2. Hey guys, just precleared an 8tb disk, then added it to my array. I made a new config (so i could swap disk numbers around), and got 700k parity sync errors corrected. Can anyone have a look at my diagnostics file as i have some important data on my array. I use this array to make all my backups so if my family photos are corrupted i need to know how to fix this. I have never seen any errors before.. Any help would be very much appreciated. server-diagnostics-20200223-1333.zip
  3. not trying to be a debbie downer but lots of people are complaining about duplicati, do some reading. rclone with gsuite is a good combo. I use duplicacy with onedrive as well as rclone to onedrive. I also do the same to a freenas server at my folks house.
  4. i would expect a letter and have a backup plan. not sure if they will but i wouldn't trust them.
  5. i think the one guy on reddit only had like 5TB i think and they were cutting him off.
  6. for sure.. that is a lot of storage. I am surprised you didn't get an email from them saying you have too much on their system, you still may. When you get into that much storage, cloud storage really doesn't make sense. Or you pay the $10 a month, get google drive for business and if they ever enforce the 5 user, you might have to just pay the $50 a month. You have a better chance with them than Crashplan.
  7. i personally built a freenas server and keep it at my parents house with enough storage to hold all my movies and important stuff.. it was built with leftover computer parts and all the hard drives i used to have in Unraid that i upgraded. I know that isn't for everyone. I also use Duplicacy with Onedrive and Google Drive. I just found Crashplan slow, buggy and their business practices are a little shady.
  8. i am surprised people still use Crashplan. Months to upload, deleting files, says unlimited but not.. I am done with them.
  9. hey guys. Was having some issues with Plex and i replaced a bunch of drives. I installed, uninstalled Plex a few times and i think i got the directories wrong at first on my cache drive. now i have a few directories in my appdata on my cache drive and i wonder if i can delete them. one is data with nothing in it, one is netdata with nothing in it, and one is tmp with a bunch of files and a subdirectory HttpServer. Never noticed these before and was just wondering if they were left over from a wrong container mapping or something i did wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. thanks so much will read over all this. 🙏👍
  11. i only have 2 8tb to replace 4 4tb drives, will that still work? do i have to rebuild parity like 4 times? it takes about 20 hours per time.
  12. I have a 10tb and an 8tb parity drive already, was just trying to replace the 4tb data drives.
  13. hey guys i have 4 4tb drives right now. I just bought 2 8tb drives. What is the most efficient way to do the switch after i preclear the 8tb drives? I will be taking the 4tb drives out to use in a backup Freenas server.
  14. thanks Bonienl, will try when i get home from work!
  15. hey guys, have a couple dockers (Bitwarden, Duplicacy) that i changed their port but cannot access them when clicking on the docker icon. If i go to 192.168.10.100:8888 Bitwarden pops right up but when i click the Webui from the docker icon it goes to the default port which is inacessable. any help would be much appreciated.
  16. yup, i setup a share on freenas and i am connecting to 192.168.1.100 from 192.168.10.100 over the internet.
  17. thanks man.. i was just not sure about using SSH without keys even though it's going over the internet, i assumed it would be going though the vpn tunnel.
  18. not sure if you are kidding, lol? not sure if it was clear but my servers are at different houses in the same city connected via pfsense openvpn over the internet.
  19. Hey guys, quick question. I have an Unraid server and a Freenas server connected with a peer to peer VPN at different locations. Is it ok to just use passwords for SSH since our houses are connected via a VPN and no ports are open on the router? I am trying to set up Duplicacy with SFTP and a password is much easier but i want it to be secure.
  20. Hey i self host bitwarden. I have the webui set to port 8888. When i click on the webui, it still goes to 8343, how can i change that?
  21. exactly, family first. enjoy yourself and fuc# everyone else.
  22. ya, it was writing zeros i think.. it had a list that had about 10 dones. I can't really remember as I wasn't expecting the power to go out so i didn't really think much of it. Great program though, thanks man!
