so as I said before this is multi user problem, can there be some sort of looking into how to troubleshoot this please. i have seen how because only few are affected that it's not a "thing" but this is still a problem surely this should be looked into?

My mercer 2 KvA just recently died on me and I see talk of a lot of Eaton 5E's so went and purchased one, only to find out it's a surprisingly bare bones but well built UPS. Thanks a lot for that explanation itimpi, I get it now so I will just use the fix common problems output and then delete the duplicates from the file system level and then monitor if it happens again. Thanks for all the help .... Appreciated.

As I have explained it's not an isolated case so I do not know how to replicate the problem unless I manually copy onto disk share instead of unRAID share so I am just asking the community if any one has a easier solution than excel vba or the scripts mentioned in the other posts. So I will just monitor this post if any one else has some tips for this known problem.

So are these people also doing something wrong? If that is true please explain so we can avoid the duplication on our side... Thank you

I ONLY use /mnt/user to copy files to my unRAID box and the various shares I have under that mount point, so I was saying that it is not users creating the duplicates on purpose. I am not trying to start a blame game here I am just looking for an easy solution. The fix common problem plugin brought these duplicates to my attention and I am seeing a lot of them.

Hey All Surely by now there should be a EASY solution to this as it is caused by unRAID itself and not a user fault. So does LimeTech have a solution to their problem? or is there at least a easy way of finding dupes and getting rid of them. I hope I am not opening a can of worms with this post BUT there should be some kind of solution from the company by now as this problem is as old as the product itself.... Hey All Just some info if any one knows why? I have a Mecer ME-2000-VU 2000VA/1200W Line Interactive UPS I upgraded to unRAID 6.4 from the version before and then when i rebooted NUT would not start. Tried all sorts uninstalled reinstalled and nothing. Then read a post here and set all to default and port to auto and manually ran the nut start. Now working again. sorry ... what i am meaning is that i have just manually moved stuff around to make space for a 3TB disk and now most of my disks are in the red and i know it's just a cosmetic thing... i would like unraid via a plugin to balance all the files over the various disks. thanks

Tried with ie edge, ie 11, firefox and chrome. None works. Any ideas? i have same problem and the plugin is up to date 2016.12.24 up-to-date any ideas or help i have waited for a hour and still just stays at starting... thanks ps. i uninstalled the plugin and then download directly from github in case i was missing any dependencies and same story just sits starting

The NerdPack has been a supplementary collection of modules that not every one needs. It helps to keep the installed core leaner. Your request is a different usage, a way to provide newer versions of the installed modules, whenever users feel LimeTech is not moving quickly enough. That's possibly valid, but I think I would prefer a separate collection. With each unRAID release, you'll have to decide what to change with it, what's no longer necessary to install because it's now included in the core. That makes this new collection quite volatile, much more than the NerdPack has been. There's good value in the NerdPack, in keeping our core systems leaner. I can see in the future Tom and Eric getting together and moving more modules from the installed unRAID core into NerdPack (or its built-in successor). It would be especially attractive to those users who only wanted a 'lean and mean' NAS. They would uncheck all VM support and uncheck all Docker support, and any other feature support they don't plan to use. Some things can't be separated, have to be compiled into the kernel core, but others should be (libvirt?). soo does that mean no?

thank you for the inclusion of 7zip.. may i please ask [i know this has been discussed] for the inclusion of midnight commander, I do realize that it is already part of UNraid OS but the versioning goes out if the the OS does not update when the new release comes out. Can the nerdpack carry midnight commander please that can overwrite the version in the OS if the user chooses? Thank you
