  1. Went fine for me too. thanks all for great system.
  2. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get 5.1 audio? I have tried every conceivable audio setting in the Handbrake docker UI with no luck. Every video which has an audio 5.1 track, after processing it drops the audio to only two audio tracks. When I process the same source video on Handbrake Win10 standalone program it converts it perfectly to .MP4 with 5.1 audio? What do you guys think?
  3. I'm reluctant to go forward without someone's suggestions. I came across a post saying use the "-L' command in the gui to destroy the log and try to repair. I hope somebody has suggestions that has dealt with this kind of issue. I know the data is there on the new disk (the rebuild had the appropriate writes to the disk)
  4. Same results "Unmountable: No file system" after XFS repair I hope somebody can help..server-diagnostics-20200323-1633.zip
  5. Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... bad primary superblock - bad magic number !!! attempting to find secondary superblock... Here's the results, I'll try a reboot/mount..
  6. The original disk I cleared to use elsewhere, so than's not an option. No don't want to format new that. I'm trying XFS repair now in maintenance mode. The rebuild reported successful with no errors, btw the original disk was with no errors, I replaced it with a new WD blue disk. I'll see after the XFS repair finishes. thanks folks I'm smoking two cigarettes at time now while drinking a scotch....
  7. I need some help here please, I followed the procedure (I’ve done it in the past) replaced a data disk with a bigger one after preclearing it. I started the array to rebuild the disk data, but now that is finished the array says “Unmountable disk present” and offers to format it. I hope I didn’t screw myself. The rebuild seemed normal. If I format now it will wipe the drive clean. I'm under the impression a format was not necessary because the rebuild procedure does it. Please please any suggestions? I hope its now too late.
  8. Hey Squid, I finally ordered a LSI SAS 9207-8i card. I'm wondering, If I wanted to add additional drives to my system beyond 8 (not counting the MB SATA ports). Would I need to add an additional 9207-8i card? Or is there another way? I've seen reference to "expander cards" (?) Also, based on this thread I should't be concerned about the Bios/Firmware versions that my 9207-8i has. Thanks
  9. I tried that, and it worked perfectly (no errors, parity valid) Thanks jonathanm, I'll have to remember that.
  10. Ill try that tomorrow. thanks.
  11. First I backed-up USB #1 via the web gui (zip file). In my Windows 10 desktop I unzipped the file and copied all files with the exception of the "Key.File" in the config folder. When it was all done I replaced the USB#2 "Key.File" back the the config folder. When I booted unraid with the freshly copied USB#2 unraid requires me to re-assign all disks and then it would commence with a parity check. At this point, I stopped and powered down and put the original (USB#1) back in and restarted. Now all is back to normal with all disks assigned properly, Valid Parity and no errors. I just wondered if anybody has done this. I wanted to keep a backup USB valid in the event of a USB failure.
  12. yes, everything is normal with no errors and valid parity.
  13. Hi all, quick question, I have a second Unraid Pro license USB I keep aside for backup. I would like to update its contents to the current working (with no errors & valid parity) configuration. I have made backups of both licensed USB’s. I copied all files from USB #1 to USB #2 with the exception of the “Pro.Key” license data file in the config folder, however when I boot using USB #2 It requires me to reestablish all disk assignments and then proceed to do a parity check. I thought I would swap USB’s and give the other one a rest. Is this normal?
  14. Thanks Brit I thought it was a Linux thing, but not sure. Is there any way to adjust it to ones local time?
  15. Squid I’m curious if you could shed some light on this. I’ve tried setting my unraid server to start at a certain time via the bios. I set the bios to my current local time (PST) but it doesn’t hold even with a fresh battery. When Unraid starts it corrects the time of course. The only way I can set my system to come on at a certain time is to -8:00 hours then it come on at my local time. I understand the MB Bios and Unraid are two different systems. I’ve never seen this before in any build, I’ve done. It just seems to revert to GMT. It really has me baffled. I noticed the below error and tried to correct it. Any thoughts? “: kernel reports TIME_ERROR: 0x41: Clock Unsynchronized” server-syslog-20200220-0144.zip
  16. Hi Squid, I.m new and trying some of the settings in the User Scrips plug-in. enabling/disabling turbo write mode and auto turbo write, whats the difference and any advantages and should one be using it on a daily basis? Are there any other places (sites) we can find trusted useful scrips? Nice work, I was able to fix the issue i had with "write_cache_on_disk_10", Strange because this drive is a WD Red retail drive. Not shucked.
  17. Yes 4K local, I just swapped out the MB with a newer one 8 core AMD 8320 with 32 gigs of ram. I just thougth the ram would show more activity in the dashboard.. thanks..
  18. i'm confused I tried setting up my unraid plex container for ram transcoding, I'm seeing several ways of doing it. regardless what i do my cpu pegs at nearly 100% and and the memory bearly changes (when i watch my unraid dashboard). any suggestions, or is this normal. I'm running unraid v680 the latest plex docker AMD FX™-8320 Eight-Core @ 3500 MHz 32 gb ram
  19. Thanks for the info Squid. I try to keep my server simple.
  20. I understand, Thanks. with out causing any ill felling with the author, do you use "dynamix file integrity"?
  21. Thanks Squid, I put the Diag file above, Is the dynamix file integrity app worth using in your opinion? I do leave gaps in my array (for future expansion) Should I avoid doing this if it causes problems?
  22. fount this in my syslog, and can't figure out why its there. I'm not using a disk5. I looked everywhere and couldn't find any reference to disk5. "Jan 2 15:31:23 Server inotifywait[10968]: Couldn't watch /mnt/disk5: No such file or directory' Any suggestions would be appreciated, or should I not worry about it? 23. I noticed my log is getting full of the notices saying "Dec 13 13:49:18 Server kernel: hid-generic 0003:09AE:3016.0001: control queue full" I'm wondering if this is some kind of problem that needs to be corrected? Any thoughts? thanks server-diagnostics-20181213-1407.zip
