  1. Damn my board had the IT87952E chip - any chance of supporting this one?
  2. Late to the party with this - but is this so we can access UNRAID shares directly without using SMB/network shares from a Windows VM? If so, can someone kindly details the steps I need to perform to do this. Thanks.
  3. Me too. Installed Ventura B4 up to the country select screen and then random reboots occur. Using latest 0.8.3 opencore.
  4. UPDATE - Updated OC boot picker img to 0.8.3 OC release, switched vcpu to 1 core, 1 thread and hey presto, ventura b4 boots to disk image and now is happily installing. I used the same qemu args as Monterey. UPDATE 2 - Install completed, rebooted got to country picker, crashed and rebooted. Ventura seems to be more of a challenge and I guess needs some opencore/kexts tweaking for this to work reliably in KVM.
  5. it's a fresh install so using opencore v17 as boot picker. Here is my qemu args, please let me know what if anything i need to add/change.... I'm running AMD 3950X - Monterey VM working fine. old (works with Monterey not Ventura) <qemu:arg value='Penryn,kvm=on,vendor=GenuineIntel,+kvm_pv_unhalt,+kvm_pv_eoi,+hypervisor,+invtsc,+pcid,+ssse3,+sse4.2,+popcnt,+avx,+avx2,+aes,+fma,+bmi1,+bmi2,+xsave,+xsaveopt,check'/> new (still doesnt work with Ventura) <qemu:arg value='Haswell,vendor=GenuineIntel,+kvm_pv_eoi,+kvm_pv_unhalt,+hypervisor,+invtsc,kvm=on'/> <qemu:commandline> <qemu:arg value='-usb'/> <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='usb-kbd,bus=usb-bus.0'/> <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='isa-applesmc,osk=ynwa'/> <qemu:arg value='-smbios'/> <qemu:arg value='type=2'/> <qemu:arg value='-cpu'/> <qemu:arg value='Haswell,vendor=GenuineIntel,+kvm_pv_eoi,+kvm_pv_unhalt,+hypervisor,+invtsc,kvm=on'/> <qemu:arg value='-global'/> <qemu:arg value='ICH9-LPC.acpi-pci-hotplug-with-bridge-support=off'/> </qemu:commandline>
  6. Today I tried to update my Monterey Macinabox VM to Ventura B4 with 0 success. I downloaded the beta via apple dev, ran the installer, waited 15 mins and the VM rebooted back to Monterey as if nothing had happened, no errors, nada. Anyone had any success getting Ventura installed?
  7. Some good tips, thanks. Switched from vitio-net to vitio and boom! avg 700MB/s - happy with that.
  8. How about enabling smb multichannel will that help? What is the known issue exactly?
  9. Hello I have a bunch of media shares on my UNRAID server and tried copying a 10GB+ file to a W11 VM on the same UNRAID server. The virtio NIC on the W11 VM is running at 10gbps but I cannot copy from the UNRAID shares any faster than 200MB/s approx 2gbps. My physical NIC on the UNRAID server is a 2.5gbps onboard adaptor, is this the limiting factor? Is it possible to create a seperate virtual 10gb network so that VMs and shares on the same UNRAID server can copy at the full 10gbps speed available? Just to add, all shares and VMS are on nvme/ssd drives (seperate).
  10. This has started happening to me too. Today I tried to start a 3rd VM, the VM would not start and then the VM page and VM settings page become unresponsive. The only way to resolve is to restart the UNRAID host. Just to add, when this happens, all opther VMs, dockers etc are running fine and no other issues. Just the UNRAID UI VM and VM settings page wont load. Logs show nothing out of the ordinary. I'm running 6.10 latest RC.
  11. @ich777 Please create a plugin. I have to resort to using acpi_enforce_resources=lax and modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628 to get the system to show temps/fans. My board is Gigabyte Z690 - https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z690-AORUS-MASTER-rev-1x/sp#sp
  12. Thanks so much for this. Ever since I upgraded from 6.9.2 to 6.10 RCx GPU passthrough was broken. now making these changes, all OK. Star!
  13. Great news! Look forward to it.
  14. Please can someone from @limetech acknowledge that the Asus and Gigabyte WMI drivers are missing and the reasons why? Is it because as suggested they are staged in linux kernel 5.16 and not in the current UNRAID vers. 5.15? Thanks!
  15. blacklisting the bluetooth device still works however. Odd that using modprobe doesn't.
  16. installed 6.10 RC5 now modprobe -r btusb and modprobe -r bluetooth do not work. Anyone else care to try?
  17. @limetech is there any paticular reason why the gigabyte wmi driver is missing?
  18. Anyone? Keen to know if this config would work. Thanks.
  19. Since RC4 is now out can anyone confirm if the gigabyte driver is now present in the kernel? find /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/ -iname "*gigabyte*"
  20. I too would like to know. I have a X570 mobo that would benefit from the Gigabyte drivers. I raised another topic here but no response so far.
  21. Hi Unraiders Is it possible in latest UNRAID to dedicate vgpus to vms and dockers using a card like Nvidia A40? https://www.servethehome.com/nvidia-a40-48gb-gpu-mini-review/ I want to have 2 vGPUs for video out and 1+ vGPU for docker transcoding etc. Does UNRAID goup each vgpu in own IOMMU? Please advise as 5K is ALOT to spend for a GPU. Thanks
  22. What do you all think of my new build? Decided to spruce up the Torrent case due to the sheer amount of space inside the case. Just waiting for a new GPU to stick in the top slot for my gaming streaming VM. The RGB panels I got from ColdZero (SSD RGB covers). 4 fit perfectly vertically. Spec: Gigabyte X570s, Ryzen 3950X, 128GB Mem, 3xSSD, 2xnvme, WX4100 GPU, GT1030 GPU, BeQuiet Fans, Fractal Torrent case, Noctua CPU cooler and fans.
  23. Be careful when buying the Samsung Fit drives. I bought one from Amazon UK and it was dead within a week. Got one direct from Samsung and no probs so far. They also run quite warm when accessed continuously so lifespan wont be that great.
  24. Has anyone here successfully managed to control the fan speed on their AMD GPU within OSX? I have a RX460 passed through to Monterey but unable to see the fan speeds and/or sensor temps in HW Monitor/iStats.
  25. Hello According to this article; The Gigabyte WMI sensor drivers should be in kernel 5.13+. https://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/GIGABYTE_WMI.html I am on 6.10RC2 Kernel 5.14+ but the driver is not present. root@MOUNRAID01:/lib/modules/5.14.15-Unraid/kernel/drivers# find /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/ -iname "*gigabyte*" returns nothing. I have an X570S Gigabyte motherboard and want to use the WMI driver that has recently been built for Linux. - https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Gigabyte-WMI-For-Linux-5.13 Why is the driver not present?
