Hi, I tried both options and just wanted to report back that in both cases trim works the same on all the ssd´s in the array. I frist tried running the script via script UserScripts as Squid said, and trim works on those ssd´s mounted outside of the array with UD. I also tried configuring a cache drive, using the dynamix trim plugin, and it also works (in this case trim also works on those ssd´s mounted outside of the array with UD). Thx Squid for support!

no cache ssd. 2 ssd´s assigned in unassigned devices. so the plugin should work with my 2 UD ssd´s.

Hi, if I have a backup of any of these .img's, and I already tried them and still get the error, how can I check the integrity of those .IMG? Also, if those .img's where created in an ssd formatted as btrfs, but now I formatted it as xfs, can this be also the causing issue? Enviado desde mi NX505J mediante Tapatalk

Too early to say it works. Again -after reboot- I have the same error. Now I also tried another SSD formatted as XFS. And I did not use cache at all, only this SSD mounted using Unassigned Devices (UD). I did another 2 hours run of memtest with no errors. Docker (krusader) and VM (libvirt) where placed on the mounted SSD in UD. Docker and libvirt images were created new. My screenshot shows the error. I am not a linux expert so I can´t interpret this error. Any ideas how to proceed? Really don´t want to go the fresh Unraid install route, since now I am not sure if it is a hardware error or a pure software error. It only happens when starting the vm! Any help is appreciated.

I just reformatted the cache drive in xfs (before it was btrfs) and now the same vdisk works. I guess the error was produced by btrfs! Just wanted to post it in case someone goes through the same issue. Rgds.

After doing this I still get the same error. I noticed at login in my monitor hooked up to unraid I see something before was not there: rc.diskinfo[7686]: process started. To terminate it, type: rc .diskinfo --quit How can I stop this?

Hi, I am getting this error and really have no clue what can be causing it. I cannot start my windows vm. Everytime I start my vm this error shows up and unraid freezes forcing me to do an unclean poweroff. I thought it could be my cache ssd where the raw vdisk is. So I installed a new ssd mounted using unassigned devices, but same error shows up. Hope to hear good news to solve this. Rgds. tower-diagnostics-20170715-1938.zip

Now, although I have not setup security in my shares, but I did in UD, the first time I access from a windows machine in my network to Unraid it asks for a login. Should this happen? Also, what happens if I activate security now also in my unraid shares? Rgds.

Hi, I spent some time reading in this forum regarding rsync. Looks it is one option. Another option is running "SyncBack (2BrightSparks)" from a windows vm. I already own a license of SyncBack. I still have some questions: -is the performance of both options the same? -if I format the disk in NTFS (to be able to connect the disk to several windows machines) does it perform slower than it being formatted as XFS? -if I have a disk mounted using UD (it should be the destination of my backup) and I run SyncBack from my vm, do I have to worry about the copy to/from_ share-disk bug? Hi, After reading carefully your first post I activated security in your plugin. I have my desktop pc running and accessing a disk mounted in UD (more precise accessing a mapped network share located in this disk). But also a vm is accessing it. I get an error mesage in my vm when trying to access the mapped network share saying in windows two machines cannot access the same share/disk simultaneously. This happens after my desktop pc already accessed the mapped share. Is there any way to solve this? Also, I read it is recommended to create a user and set a password in Unraid and that both should match the Windows_desktop/vm user+password that will access Unraid to avoid login problems. Is it like this when using UD too? Do I need to set the root password the same as the one used in the new user that I created? Feel free to ask if you need more info. Rgds.

Hi! I am running unraid v6 and want to backup my main personal data to 1 drive mounted externally using unassigned devices. This drive will be unplugged after backup is done. My main data is located in 1 of the array drives only. Is there any plugin I can use to do this backup and that allows (after the initial backup) to perform incremental backups only? Rgds
