  2. a txt box in a html page is a special editor? - its built into the browser To me (and I might be selfish....) using a txt box on a web browser form is 1000% more convenient than have to load up a txt edit program, get to the right directory, load, edit & save ... duno - just my 2 cents/opinion you seem to have a problem with almost all suggestions I make - so I am gonna leave the sleeping tiger alone Myk
  3. Hey you have help me out so much its the LEAST I can do Myk
  4. I have it defined here on my unRAID set - its stores the log(s) - rtorrent and nginx config files, rutorrent plugin files and rtorrent session stuff Myk
  5. there should be a -v config= path\ where the docker configuration file are kept Myk
  6. No problem - been there - done that Myk
  7. I would define them manually to be safe Myk

  9. When I used container - never had this problem - EXCEPT then the /data mapping was not define to a location on unRAID what is your /data mapping set at? you can use other paths as well in the container but they ALL need to start with /data my /data is defined to /mnt/user/sortthru/Deluge then I use /data/incomplete and /data/complete which converts to /mnt/user/sortthru/Deluge/incomplete and /mnt/user/sortthru/Deluge/complete etc Myk
  10. i did toy with this idea, only issue is the xml used for docker ui doesnt update, so any changes i make are not reflected in what people see in the ui, i might consider this though, just need to make users aware of configuring this incorrectly could lead to potential ip leakage. Ya that is a pain, but I still think much easier on you - add the notification to the OP support thread - new installs will see it - old installs if asked - we just tell them to re-read OP for additional notes. Don't pull your hair out every time trying to add special port numbers - to me personally - it should be up to the user as it is non standard etc Myk
  11. Why not a config option with comma separated ports - stating to the user this will open holes in the firewall. Then if others come along, all they need to do is specify the port number(s) Myk
  12. Suggestion.... how about a button to edit via simple web text field the description/script after they have been added. Just a simple form with 2 text boxes, one for the desc and one for the script? Thanks Myk
  13. ok, according to this I found When you issue a docker stop command Docker will first ask nicely for the process to stop and if it doesn't comply within 10 seconds it will forcibly kill it. If you've ever issued a docker stop and had to wait 10 seconds for the command to return you've seen this in action Looks like this container needs more time if it is busy (mine is seeding 100% of the time) to finish the in-progress blocks. Don't think this is something you can do anything about, Will have to post over in the main docker section and see what they say Myk
  14. Ok, so yesterday I had a aprox 6 hr power outage while I was at work - UPS did its job and cleanly shutdown unRAID.... Question, when the container is told to stop, how does it do it. All my session data was corrupted for rTorrent and I had to wipe it and manually readd the torrents. Does docker send a unit style shutdown and wait for it to acknowledge that shutdown - or does it just kill it? It seems to just kill it and that when I have session data problems If I bash into the container and manually run rtorrent, and shut it down with ctrl-q - it does not shut down instant. It finished sending any blocks out that it is working on and then shuts down..... Ideas? Thanks Myk
  15. i wouldnt advise this change, this means your going to be hitting pia's api every 15 seconds to check the incoming port, this in itself can cause issues as they might block you and thus cause issues when attempting to re-established a incoming port. Am using AirVPN - no issues so far - but if I leave it at 10 min - sometimes it will take 40 min to start as it crashes upon loading the session directory..... its a known problem - but they have not fixed it yet Myk
  16. I get the same thing when trying with my Samsung tablet on lan wifi Even when I manually enter everything - check your input Myk
  17. Have you even thought of allowing remote backup locations? Maybe with this method = https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46663.msg445897#msg445897 Myk
  18. Modification Suggestion I changed the sleep variable in rtorrent.sh to .25 - since it likes to crash alot with queue errors - this way it dont take 10 min to come back Thanks Myk
  19. whats weird is rutorrentVPN has the same setup and I am able to have SickbeardVPN and sickrage talk to my rutorrentVPN just fine when searching and it finds a .torrent and its using the local 192.168.0.x ip Myk
  20. Did you add variable LAN_NETWORK which in my case is set to 192.168.0.0/24 to allow interlan communications? Myk
  21. Was not thinking of a general backup solution - I just thought it might be easier for a user to grab their flash backup from a FTP location if they have it, vs installing a trial version 1st to get access to the array to get at the flash backup off of..... I will just make a cron then and send it to a btsync or dropbox folder so it gets to my desktop and/or laptop
  22. Where I see the spike/lag most of the time is when rtorrent is moving the download to its completed location - ex from incomplete to complete. I need to get a bigger SSD 1st - but am gonna try and move the incomplete/complete to the SSD cache drive Myk
  23. Another idea - since the flash backup is so small - if they have it avail - maybe ftp to external site? Myk
  24. idea - maybe a .txt file to go with flash backup showing drive serial numbers and where they are assign in case they dont have it written down or printed somewhere? Myk
  25. The spike/timeout happens with the latest beta as well
