How do I reference a created NFS share from something like Proxmox? I've done the following but can't get it to mount from my other UnRAID server or my Proxmox server. I have other NFS shares exposed through the Shares section of UnRAID and they're fine.

Please tell me you’re backing them up with with the Backup / Restore Appdata plug-in? If not and the appdata folder is gone then I think you’re up a creek. ETA: So the zip files aren’t in the path specified in CA Backup / Restore? ETA: We’re you getting emails from Backup / Restore when it ran?

I removed the Virt-Manager Docker and it started working again....several hours spent fighting this for nothing....ugh.

I do have another UnRAID server running 6.10.3 so would there be anything that I could copy over from it to the main UnRAID server with the problems to help me get past this? The /etc/libvirt directory is empty on the main machine but not the backup machine, however, the libvirt- directory has files in it on both machines which I found odd. I just had this happen but your solution didn't seem to work. My /etc/libvirt is empty but /etc/libvirt- has contents. Should I copy libvirt- over libvirt, run the fsck, and then reboot? This is driving me insane as it’s my work VM 😞

I created a Pool and Dataset but for some reason via SMB I get "Permission Denied" when trying to create a file/directory. I used 775 as the permissions when creating the dataset and here is the SMB Extra config that I added for SMB: [ZFSTest] path = /mnt/disks/ZFSTest/Test comment = browseable = yes writeable = no read list = write list = jlficken valid users = jlficken case sensitive = auto preserve case = yes short preserve case = yes vfs objects = I can view it I just can't modify it in any way. I'm a complete newbie at ZFS so anything you need me to grab just ask and I'll get it for you. I think I found an issue with the latest version of this plugin. I have 2 different servers running on 6.9.2 and after the latest update all of my SAS drives went to the "Drives not found or removed" list while they all showed up previously and are currently attached to the system and showing in Unassigned Devices. The SATA drives are all fine. I love this plugin so I hope I can help to track down the issue. I saw these outputs referenced earlier so I included them. If you need more information let me know. I'm trying to get this card passed through to a Windows 10 VM but I keep getting a Code 43. I have VNC enabled as the primary monitor and the NVS 295 is bound as it's selectable from the dropdown in the VM setup. I've tried adding the VBIOS from TechPowerUp to no avail as well. I had it "working" with a 1050 Ti, however, a reboot/shutdown caused the entire UnRAID server to lock up 99% of the time and I'm tired of having to hard boot the server just to apply Windows updates Sorry, I missed this! I'm not sure but I'm guessing the only way to find out is to reboot the server and catch it correct? Would I be better off just getting a 9300-8i w/ P16 firmware as then I could use SATA SSD's and have TRIM support? Is anyone having issues with the Plugin not removing aged files? I have Age Days set to 60 and Remove Aged Files on Schedule set to Daily, however, I still have files in the .Recycle.Bin folder dating back to March.

Here's a log from when this just happened again. 2021-09-12 at 20:30:00 is when the reboot happened that took the server down. I've been having this issue for awhile now. When I go to reboot this VM unRAID will sometimes just go unresponsive. I have IPMI on my server and even it stops responding. It happened again last night and I do have remote SysLog set up. With that said I had turned off the writing to the flash drive as it hadn't happened for awhile so I have now turned it back on. Here's the log up to the freeze if anyone sees anything. I'm all ears as this has been driving me nuts since 6.8.3 and I'd love to figure out why. It rebooted once after about a week sucessfully. Now after 30 days I get this: It can send an email but otherwise goes unresponsive on anything but the Dockers and Settings tabs. Trying a "shutdown -r now" it just goes away completely and won't even respond to a ping but it never reboots. Would a recording of everything that happens next time be helpful?

The biggest thing that unRAID is missing that keeps it from being used by small businesses is snapshots. I can't tell you how many times I've used them in our ReadyNAS to get something back that was accidently deleted months ago by a user and then they realize they oopsed. If unRAID could get storage level snapshots (VM's would be great too but I can live without them) then I'd push unRAID for small businesses whenever possible as long as they aren't running databases on the thing. Backups are great, however, snapshots make recovering files so much easier and faster if there isn't a catastrophe.

It's still broken. It's totally killed the server twice now when rebooting the VM. How can I get the Syslog file when I can't even get IPMI to respond and it's not on the Flash drive anywhere? IPMI console viewer lets me enter root for the user and then locks up. All drive activity ceases on the server. It's just dead.... I'm getting so utterly frustrated with unRAID right now that I'm not sure I even want to mess with it anymore.

I actually just stumbled across one with OEM transceivers for $80 shipped so I grabbed it. They only had one though band it has a short bracket but I can buy a tall bracket sometime.

I grabbed one in 2019 for $50 but I'm striking out currently. I figured out that a ConnectX-2 card was the cause of my unRAID server crashing when Windows 10 VM's were rebooted/shut down for some unknown reason so I'd like to find a spare ConnectX-3 card. I'm in the US and would rather not buy from China.

Windows decided to reboot last night to install and update and it seems to have went fine as everything was back up this morning so I'm hopeful that the ConnectX-2 was the issue. I have no idea why it would have been an issue though.

You should set up Plex to transcode to the RAM as it's much faster than even an SSD and doesn't wear out your SSD if you're using one.

You're using your RAM as the temp transcoding directory right?
