  1. Some Supermicro boards don't show the CPU temp through ipmi. They just use a oem reserved code of high, medium and low. However freeipmi doesn't always know the oem codes so it displays n/a. Got it. Thanks. Maybe someday... Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  2. installed this plugin and On the dashboard it just shows temp as N/A On the settings page it shows - 71 CPU Temp N/A N/A N/A N/A OEM Reserved N/A N/A N/A not sure what it means, Any idea what I can do to see CPU temp? just in case it matters or not - dynamix system temp CPU temp displays ok supermicro board in sig
  3. ok. I take it nobody else using this has run into this situation?
  4. trying this out for last few days, and wonder may i have set up something incorrectly. config is set to /mnt/cache/appdata/Tonido/ and container volume is default /unRAID host path set to /mnt/user settings within tonido: indexing is off and Allow remote access to only specific folders unRAID/media/movies, unRAID/media/music, unRAID/media/tv shows, unRAID/media/pictures really the only changes made from default setup. been away for a week and was using android app on phone and personal laptop to access my "entertainment" on the road. Worked really well. quite simple really, right up my alley...upon returning home i noticed on my cache drive there was a folder with a .tonidodb file for every folder I accessed while away and the mover did not move them because permission is set as root. shouldn't it be nobody? Is this something i set up wrong in this docker or an underlying issue with my security settings in unraid itself?
  5. I too have the same result after install
  6. trying to update cache directories I get this: plugin: updating: dynamix.cache.dirs.plg cache_dirs not running! plugin: downloading: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bergware/dynamix/master/archive/dynamix.cache.dirs.txz ... done plugin: bad file MD5: /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.cache.dirs/dynamix.cache.dirs.txz
  7. Any container I have that needs a /downloads I map to mnt/cache/downloads So my /mnt/cache/downloads has subfolders /app1 /app2 /app3 etc etc Make sure that /mnt/cache/downloads is set to cache drive only though..... Personally I can't see any reason to download directly to the array... Hope that helps, glad you're getting there. It does help. Nice clean organized approach. Thanks again[emoji3]
  8. I would take the approach of creating a share purely called downloads (mnt/cache/downloads) then mapping /downloads to mnt/cache/downloads in the docker config. Then in the deluge webui set it to downloads/torrents At the moment you've mapped /downloads (what deluge sees) to /mnt/cache/Torrent Downloads and then are telling Deluge to download to a folder called cache/Torrent Downloads (which as it isn't mapped, will be created in the container) That has done it. Still lots to learn. Thanks for the guidance CHBMB!!
  9. Testing out your docker, I set up a cache only user share 'Torrent Downloads'. Download docker and point /downloads on the template to /mnt/cache/Torrent Downloads. from web UI preferences I set download to /cache/Torrent Downloads. add a torrent file and it downloads, only its not in the download folder i thought i set. It appears it is downloading within my docker.img as i can see the file size and date change. help me learn something, what am i not doing correctly?
  10. Used the plugin with the fast post-read and notifications enabled version from host site listed. Shows as ver. 1.115c, plugin worked great as has been the case, and pre clear of three new 4TB drives were successful also. 10 hours quicker for each drive than ones done in the past, however I never received any notifications. I had set for both the web GUI pop ups and email. i tried the 25%, end of each step, and end of cycle and never got anything. My notifications are working fine for unraid. Is something broke or did i not do something correctly in setting it up? According to your sig you are not running 6.1.x. This is likely the problem, and you should upgrade anyway. Nobody can support 6.0rc6 Sorry, hadn't changed that yet. Was on 6.1.4 while preclearing. Now updated to 6.1.6 I also realize now that updating which required a restart wiped any logs that may of been useful correct? It appears to be working for those that use it so it must be unique to my setup. I have a small drive to test with but can't get to it for a week or so. When I do I'll run a single pass with the fast option and the 25% setting and post back results then. The difference would be unraid version, and a single drive. I was preclearing all three of the new 4TB drives at the same time, if that makes a difference.

  12. There's a version hosted here: http://bit.ly/1G44UhZ . This version have fast post-read and notifications enabled. You can add this with this command: wget http://bit.ly/1G44UhZ -O /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh readvz is already downloaded by the plugin. 13. Yes thanks. Good to know as I wasn't sure either.
  14. I to have same problem. Manually deleted plugin from flash and rebooted. Everything seems to come up ok now, minus the button plugin of course...
  15. Don't use. Never have.
  16. Why aren't you installing it from the GUI Install Plugins page? I'm still running V5 Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think v6 plugins are backwards compatible with v5.
  17. nevermind..... I didnt read the thread as thoroughly as I thought. I sure hope that what ever coordination needs to take place and agreed to can happen so the features like notifications that are built into V6 can be utilized. Never could get them to work with V5 so not getting any is something im used to..... This is definitely a very nice plugin. Thank You!
  18. I got it set up and all seems to work as should with one exception,I get no option for mail. Systems notification are enabled in unraid and I do receive them. Is there something else I need to do?
  19. I have similar performance hit results with my seagate drives as well. my WD, hitatchi and samsung drives do not.
  20. just upgraded to new web gui. is there supposed to be a "plugins tab"? running v2014.01.24a on v5.0.5
  21. I thought the same for PSU construction that a standard spec is used to build and should just "work" and Seasonic is supposed to be the undisputed "best". I would be inclined to think it was the MB if I had not tried a corsair from buddies willing to help trouble shoot and they worked as expected. I still have one in my rig as my friend is waiting for a replacement video card. Seasonic has contacted me and stated they are sending me an X760 today as a replacement. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
  22. Looking for some input. My issue is with my power supply and I hope I have posted in the appropriate thread. Is there any know incompatibility issues with Seasonic X series PSU's and Supermicro motherboards? Back ground to my inquiry: I am an unRaid newbee and have had my server together for about four weeks now. I researched for several weeks prior to parts purchase, assembly and use of unraid and decided it best for my needs and thought i used all proven known good hardware. I followed the 20 drive beast tower build as a guide. I changed the psu thinking it was an upgrade in reliability and performance. I went with a SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply from the egg. My board is the SUPERMICRO MBD-X8SIL-F-O with 8GB of Kingston Server Memory Model KVR1333D3E9SK2/8G. I currently have 3 Norco cages with a total of 14 drives mixed green and 7200 rpm [1 x parity, 1 x cache, 12 x data] for a total of 15TB storage. 1st boot - got the 1 second blast of power enough to move the fans then nothing. Went thru all connections tried again an she started right up. Over the course of the three weeks I built up my sever copying data, preclearing and adding discs to array repeat until I got to where I am now. After no longer adding drives and wires realized the power up problem was not going away. If i powered down and later tried to restart i would get the one second burst and nothing. I would have to flip to PSU power button off [MB lights no longer on] four or five times to get it to boot so I contacted customer support at seasonic and they immediately processed an RMA and shipped me a replacement. Well I received it yesterday and promptly hooked it up. Now I have quite the opposite problem, it wont shut down. Using the powerdown button on the web gui it goes through the motions and proper shutdown sequence and the sever powers off - for 3 seconds - and then automatically reboots. Very frustrating. Repeated three attempts with no change, removed UPS as source power, no change and plugged directly into wall socket same thing. Contacted support again this morning and received this response: Dear customer, Thanks for your prompt response. It seems like there is an compatibility issue between the motherboard and psu. However, we'll send you another psu for testing. I replied asking if it was possible to send along new wiring harnesses to eliminate the potential of one being bad and received this response: Dear customer, Thanks for your prompt response. I also re-checked your RMA request form, I saw super micro MBD-X8SIL-F-O. Their motherboards are known for most of psu not compatible recently, because they carry their own brand psu. I promptly replied that I have tried 2 known working psu's and have no trouble along with some other comments. Currently awaiting a response. I thought Seasonic was the best...Did I choose an incompatible PSU? If you've read this far thank you. I needed to vent. Any comments, criticisms, or sympathy's accepted.
  23. I too have changed mine following the recommended slow and easy approach. Quick and painless as long as you take your time and gently and evenly push the stock fan out. Temp difference is 3 to 4 degrees higher with drives in use than with the stock fans, but the difference in noise level is amazing. Compare it this way: Stock Fans = Jet Airliner Coolink Fans = Glider
  24. My coolink fans are on the way, and this interests me also. Is this a viable option?? I would imagine so, but you more than likely void the warranty and make it impossible to return. Breaking them off and using some double sided tape, instead of screws, would probably achieve the same result. yes I see. I finished reading the V2 updated review after i posted and see that breaking the pins did happen. I would guess that the drilling/screw option was considered and dismissed.
