"SimpleFeatures" Plugin - Version 1.0.11

Featured Replies

When I want to upgrade SF...do I delete all the old .plg files and the simplefeatures directory in the /plugin dir before putting the new .plg files in the /plugin dir?

file /boot/packages/pcre-8.12-i486-1.txz: downloading from http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware-14.0/slackware/l/pcre-8.12-i486-1.txz ... wget: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

bad download, deleting

I am trying to recover my system one step at a time from a hard power cut and so far, so good.  However,  my last step was to install SimpleFeatures 1.011.  I am getting the following error on the main page (under parity check where it specifies date and time of last check) and the Date and Time settings page:

"Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Denver' for 'MDT/-6.0/DST' instead in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 41 Wednesday, 26-06-2013, 07:08"

It looks like a PHP error in reading timezone settings.

I don't know if this is a side effect of the above, but, I also have no spin down/spin up arrows by each drive on main page, just an empty area where they should be.  I do not find any mention of this error in a forum search.

Any ideas?

EDIT:  looks like this may be related to the Web Server plugin in SF.  I don't really need it now, so, I will remove plugin and see if the issue goes away.

UPDATE:  Confirmed it was Web Server Plugin related - removed plugin and timezone setting errors disappeared. I also found where to enable the individual disk spindown/up controls in Display Settings config page.

there's a problem in the webserver plugin for downloading the SQL package.

search this thread...

Bonienl,

What ended up being the fix for this (peter_sm original post) ? I had the same issue below but couldn't locate a fix for it.

file /boot/packages/sqlite-3.7.13-i486-1.txz: downloading from http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware-14.0/slackware/ap/sqlite-3.7.14.1-i486-1.txz ... http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware-14.0/slackware/ap/sqlite-3.7.14.1-i486-1.txz:

Webserver problem ....

Some modifications need to be made to the webserver *.plg file. Have patience  :D

Didn't know where to post this, as I don't recall whether or not the parity check results were part of stock or simplefeatures, so I thought I'd try here first...

This can't be right, right?

Last checked on Tue Jul 2 01:18:58 2013 EDT (yesterday), finding 0 errors.

Time to complete seems normal (at least for me), but the 633.4 MB/sec really doesn't (unless it's Mb?)...

If you have a 55TB parity disk it is correct ;)

Does antbody knows how to fix this?

Or do i have to wait for a php-update?

Hi all

First off, thank you very much for all the hard work put into SimpleFeatures, its great. I have just built a new unRAID 5.0.15a box using the latest SimpleFeatures installed into an HP Microserver N54L. The only issue I have is to do with the network stats. It shows 0kB/s in and out on eth0. I can confirm that the network card is indeed eth0 (its the only adaptor in the machine) and there is indeed network traffic.

Anyone seen this before? I tried to read 176 pages of posts but it didn't work so well so I am sorry if its been answered before.

I've seen something similar on a couple of machines (and saw one post about it earlier).  In my case the 2 machines were an Acer H340, and a Supermicro H8DME-2/AMD Opteron based machine in one of the 24 bay cases from TAM Solutions.

The network graph shows activity on startup, but after some random time, it just goes to zero, and stays there until the machine is rebooted.

Here is the info I got from Speeding Ant (didn't help me on the Acer, but works on the Supermicro, perhaps it will help you).

I was wondering if anyone has a fix for the network graph flat lining after a while (so far can only solve with a reboot, like an earlier poster).  If there isn't a fix, I'm wondering if there is a way to "restart"  whatever is used to generate the network graph?

Yes, remove anything in /var/log/sa

No luck, still showing no network activity (I tried copying a large file, storage graph was showing 70 MB, network nothing).

Thanks for the info bondoo0 but didn't work for me. 102mB/s disk activity and 0b/s network. It is something I can live without as I don't sit monitoring the WebGUI all the time but I like to iron out these little things as my OCD doesn't let it lie :P

unraid 16B break the SF frontpage

no more totals

and the normal table is malformed now

It looks like SF are broken, the web server not working.

I see this in my web server log

//Peter

@ Peter - I was about to upgrade from 15a to 16b, but saw your post here. I use SF, so it looks like this will break.

Should I wait to upgrade, as I really don't want to run without SF if possible?

Do you have a working webgui (unmenu)?

SF still works, there are just some glitches in the UI. It's still completely usable. You should upgrade.

ok, thanks

Has development stopped on SF as not seen any updates as of late :(

speeding_ant is working waiting for 5.0 final to release an updated version.

cool do you know if the he got the version ready to release once 5.0 final hits or is he going to start work once 5.0 final hits?

Why not release sooner considering the PIA bugs SF currently has?

This is as much as I know:

speeding ant

are we going to see an updated rc15 release of simple features ?

as it seems clear we aren't going to see a plugin manager before 5.1 ....

and this should be the rc before 5.0 :P

just wondering what your plan is for SF ?

Working out some specifics with Tom before I do anything with SF. Will let the community know when I have further info!

I 'm trying to get Simple features to display my cpu and mb temperatures on the labels right next to log and info.

I am able to see my temperatures on unmenu, i did manage to get my sensors recognized thanks to MROW here at the forums.  So i was wondering what else do i need to do for simple features to detect them.

Thanks.
