June 15, 201313 yr This is what mine looks like in Chrome. [/img] try clear your cache... mine looks pretty much same in both.. edit: also watch console to make sure there aren't any errors when booting
June 15, 201313 yr I removed a few more of the plug-ins. One of them must have been causing the issue because now it looks like it is supposed to in chrome. Maybe it was the Directory caching one. I noticed it was using all the free memory and things were slow so I removed it? I also removed the Log viewer Plug-IN and the System Temp plug in. Edit: I think I'll add the System temp Plug-IN back. I also want to try the Pre-clear later with my second unRAID setup. After I finish removing another hard drive from my WHS.
June 15, 201313 yr I thought there was supposed to be some way to do a preclear from the web GUI? My main page is showing the two disks that are not part of the array, but I don't see an option to start a pre clear. I've never used a pre clear before. In the past when I cleared any drives, the array could not be used during the process. So I was interested in trying the preclear so I could continue using the array while the drives are being cleared.
June 16, 201313 yr Unfortunately preclear plugin was removed from SF. Lets hope things settle and we will get this back in.
June 16, 201313 yr speeding ant are we going to see an updated rc15 release of simple features ? as it seems clear we aren't going to see a plugin manager before 5.1 .... and this should be the rc before 5.0 just wondering what your plan is for SF ?

Working out some specifics with Tom before I do anything with SF. Will let the community know when I have further info!
June 16, 201313 yr I am sorry if I missed this question. I attempted to go through all 174 pages of this thread. I am looking at moving from unmenu to SimpleFeatures. One feature I use in unMenu is to install a couple Slackware packages. Does SimpleFeatures have this feature as well? Thank you.

SimpleFeatures wasn't really meant to be a replacement for unMenu, it's more a skin for the current GUI with some overlapping plugins to give better unRAID 5 support and to take advantage of the technologies used in the SimpleFeatures base package. You can happily use both side-by-side.
June 17, 201313 yr Author the answer is no. SF doesn't have a package installer, only plugins. Ha, yes.
June 17, 201313 yr sorry speeding ant but, are you agreeing with my post OR is there a package installer coming soon to SF? this most likely goes without saying, but when I think of package installer, I see a webgui with a list of apps/packages that I can select, configure and install (like unmenu).
June 18, 201313 yr Webserver help requested: Had to rebuild my cache drive after a failure - am thinking my issues are permissions related... I'm trying to install newznab, but am encountering running: php /mnt/cache/apps/lighttp/www/install/index.php gives me: PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '../lib/install.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /mnt/cache/apps/lighttpd/www/install/index.php on line 3 in my /var/log/lighttpd/php.errors.log However, checking my directory structure, there appears to be a valid: /mnt/cache/apps/lighttpd/www/lib/install.php so the file should be found. since it's not, I'm wondering what permissions are required for the lighttpd and/or php process to be able to read the files? On my machine, after a new permissions run, it is: root@AJs_Unraid:~# ls -l /mnt/cache/apps/lighttpd/www/lib/install.php -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody users 4125 2013-06-15 02:05 /mnt/cache/apps/lighttpd/www/lib/install.php
June 18, 201313 yr i have two minor issues... one is since i added a non-array drive, i can no longer see the disk usage chart. had a similar issue with UnMenu, and Joe fixed it pretty quick. I'm guessing not very many people leave an unused drive. my other issue is - since I went to the VMware 10G NIC, i can't see network speeds anymore... both minor .. but would love to see them fixed.
June 20, 201313 yr updating from rc2: so I'm going to update to the new PLG style plugins from rc2. it says to backup settings because I will lose them. what settings will i lose specifically? I'm not sure I really use any of the simplefeatures features xcept the nice GUI anyway. will I lose my regular unraid settings?
June 20, 201313 yr I'm getting "bad download" when I try and install the preclear package. That is expected as that plugin as been withdrawn.
June 20, 201313 yr Where do I go to find out which version SimpleFeatures I have installed? Also...is there an auto-update feature in the works for this?
June 21, 201313 yr Where do I go to find out which version SimpleFeatures I have installed? Also...is there an auto-update feature in the works for this? mine shows this at the bottom left: Array Started| SimpleFeatures v1.0.11

June 21, 201313 yr Is it still possible to run the former version of SimpleFeatures (1.0.5) on the latest unraid rc?
June 21, 201313 yr I'm getting "bad download" when I try and install the preclear package. That is expected as that plugin as been withdrawn. so why hasn't the first post been updated to explain this and why hasn't it been removed from the download? You seriously expect us to read 175 pages of posts to know this?
June 22, 201313 yr I'm getting "bad download" when I try and install the preclear package. That is expected as that plugin as been withdrawn. so why hasn't the first post been updated to explain this and why hasn't it been removed from the download? You seriously expect us to read 175 pages of posts to know this? Seems to show up fine when I search the forum for "simplefeatures preclear." Obviously someone forgot to remove it from the initial post, probably due to the unpleasantness of the whole situation. It appears the initial post has now has been updated; relax.
June 23, 201313 yr Last check incomplete on Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Denver' for 'MDT/-6.0/DST' instead in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 41 Sun Jun 23 12:08:38 2013 MDT (today), finding 0 errors. How do I fix this?
