Genau gesagt hatte er "Current_Pending_Sector" und später durch Unraid angezeigte Errors. Beides verflüchtigte sich nach erneutem Lesen. Da es keine Verbindungsprobleme gibt (UDMA CRC) vermute ich, dass etwas dazwischen haut. Das System mal eine Weile ohne Plugins (hier Powertop) zu betreiben halte ich für einen validen Test.

 

Irgendwie muss man das doch herausfinden können.

Pending, unallocated, Uncorrectable, usw spielt sich ausschließlich in der Firmware der HDD ab. Die Firmware bekommt die Info vom OS etwas in Sektor X zu lesen / schreiben und wenn das beim ersten Versuch nicht klappt, kommt es zum Pending. Wenn er den Sektor schlussendlich doch lesen kann, dann verschwindet die Meldung. Manchmal repariert die Firmware auch an Hand des ECC die Daten. Und wenn das nicht klappt, gibt es Uncorrectable Fehler im SMART. Ist der Sektor dagegen komplett tot, dann mappt die Firmware den Sektor neu. Da ist dann reallocated. Auf all das hat das OS keinen Einfluss. Selbst wenn es das wollte, geht es einfach nicht, weil die Firmware gar keine Schnittstelle dafür hat.

Hallo,

bis jetzt habe ich keine Fehler mehr erhalten.

Ich habe vorgestern einen smartctl long Test gestartet.

Hier werden, bis auf den

Error 1 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 5193 hours (216 days + 9 hours)

keine Fehler mehr angezeigt.

Nein.

Wenn ich mich nicht verlesen habe sind jetzt

 Reallocated_Sector_Ct
 Reallocated_Event_Count
 Current_Pending_Sector

alle bei 0.

Es sind also aktuell keine Probleme mit diesen relevanten Events verzeichnet.

 

Die vorherig unklaren Sektoren wurden anscheinend als problemlos entschieden.

Das ist die selbe Platte die zuvor Current_Pending_Sector auf 418 hatte?

 

Die hat eine Macke. Erst Current_Pending_Sector=418, nach erneutem Lesen sind die wieder weg, jetzt Offline_Uncorrectable=418. Das wirkt nicht gesund. Selbst wenn das wieder weggehen würde, hätte ich kein Vertrauen mehr.

Das Bild zeigt den Bootvorgang? Also nicht die Diagnosticserstellung, wie Du sie direkt ueber dem Bild verlinkt hast?

Ich hatte mich schon gewundert, weil der Tools/Diagnostics (ZIP Erstellungs) Vorgang irgendwie anders aussieht.

Sehr schnell. Ein verlängernder Faktor ist die Anzahl der Festplatten und ob diese Spin-Down oder Spin-Up sind. Unraid fährt die Platten nämlich nicht alle auf einmal hoch sondern eine nach der anderen um dann deren SMART Werte zu ziehen. Gerade wer viele Platten besitzt sollte alle Platten vorab über den Button "Spin-Up" hochfahren. Dann geht es sehr schnell.

 

Persönliche Anmerkung: Du hast offensichtlich eine sehr hohe Leidens-Toleranz was Deine Platte(n) angeht. Ich persönlich hätte das gesamte System in der Zeit sicherlich schon zweimal neu aufgesetzt und die Platte persönlich zu Toshiba gefahren. Auf diese Platte bzw. deren Anbindung würde ich schon lange nicht mehr vertrauen. Was hält Dich davon ab?

Naja, wie man es nimmt, ich habe aktuell ziemlich viel um die Ohren, das lenkt etwas ab 😅

 

Ich habe jetzt ein Reset gemacht und unraid ist wieder da.

Aktuell läuft der Parity-Check.

Ich habe die Platte beim Händler reklamiert, ist ja bis 2026 Garantie drauf!

Hallo mgutt,

danke für die Info, ich habe Syslog jetzt aktiviert.

Gestern Morgen war unraid auch nicht mehr erreichbar, auch direkt am Monitor hatte ich keine Reaktion.

Es half nur noch ein Reset, dann kam der Parity-Check, als dieser heute fertig war, hat er ihn noch einmal gestartet.

Bei der Platte habe ich aktuell wieder keine Fehler, das ist echt verrückt.

Ich hoffe, ich bekomme die Platte ohne Probleme getauscht.

Unter Unraid nehme ich PreClear unter Windows HDTunePro.

Jeweils nur einmaliger Durchgang.

Das bringt aber nur etwas, wenn die Festplatte eben noch funktioniert.

Aufgrund der Verschlüsselung bei unraid (encrypted) oder dem Umstand, daß bei meinen Windows-HardwareRaid immer mehrere Festplatten beteiligt sind, ist bei Fehlern in diesen Konstellationen eine komplette Löschung nicht wirklich nötig.

Deshalb habe ich auch keine Skrupel solch verwendete Festplatten, im Defektfall, auch ohne Löschung auf Garantie einzusenden.

Hallo,

ich habe die HDD jetzt noch einmal mit diesem Befehl überschrieben. (sdX natürlich angepasst)

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=4096 status=progress
