JorgeB I have already uninstalled my RTL8125 plugin, but after updating the system to 6.12.14, can I reinstall RTL8125 plugin/drivers or hold off yet?

If the stock driver works fine, I would recommend sticking with it, but you can also test with the plugin, possibly the issue with the driver doesn't affect every NIC model supported.

Same problem here,

Updated from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14.

After the update the network is not available and not showing up in my Unifi controller.

edit: My unraid was not using the RTL8125 plugin, but I was using a RTL8125 USB adapter (without installing any drivers)

Please create a new bug report and post the diagnostics.

Hi,

After the upgrade, I've a problem with Shares (they are public SMB).

In Windows I can list and delete files, but if I want to write I've an error message indicating that I don't have enough space (and that's not true). Only 1 share still work, this one is indicating that "Some or All files unprotected"

Same with Docker App Krusader (file manager), I can't copy file anymore Krusader can't write.

I'm far to be a power user... can you help me correcting this ?

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea when asking questions to supply your diagnostics so we can see details of your system, how you have things configured, and the current syslog.

Here is my diagnostic zip.

Look at that Share settings    SHARE    >>>>  [Share-name], the 'Minimum free space:' parameter is set to 781.4GB.  Reset to something more reasonable-- about 25% larger than the largest file you expect to upload.  (I have mine set for 50GB.)

Hello,

I updated to 6.12.14 but I lost connectivity to the NAS. It was sometimes available, but only slow and not consistently.

In the logs I could see that the correct IP was provided by DHCP but avahi chose it's own IP.

Manually setting the IP did not help. Neither did booting in safe mode.

I rolled back to the earlier version and it is fine now.

Unfortunately I missed the downloading of the ZIP.

If there is anything you would like to know for future development I am willing to share the needed logs, just tell my which you need.

very likely, I will try it

I thought I still had the driver installed but apparently I already uninstalled it a while ago.

Upgraded from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14 - no issues so far.

Dear @Frank1940

Ahh !! that's it.

After I updated to 6.12.14, my shares showed a strange icon. (like a red round, I didn't think to take a screenshot).image.png.4ed22b53fb0be4c4dcc39c52a2670a2c.png

So I have edited the shares, and the icon came back to normal, but I didn't realise taht it had also added this strange value to all shares I've edited !

See in the video, when I create a new share, a "by_default" super high value is auto filled... Is there a way to change this  ??

Many thanks for your precious help !!

I don't think this is linked to the new version to be honnest...

... just a collateral dammage. 🙂

Relevant when going 6.12.10 to 6.12.14 - problem still exists, likely solution included:

Upgraded and all went well. Thanks to all that contributed to this release!

I've been having nothing but issues with my Unraid server after upgrading to 6.12.14. Downgrading back to 6.12.13 doesn't fix it. I can no longer transfer files through my Mac, it just fails and gives me an error message. After failing to transfer, the server just freezes and disconnects, and takes around 20 minutes to become responsive again. Also when I restart or cold boot the server, sometimes it doesn't show up on my network and I have to force-power off the system.

I posted a thread here:

My mobo uses a RTL8211E GLAN but I never installed or uninstalled any related Realtek drivers or plugins prior to this.

That suggests the upgrade wasn't the problem, or downgrading would have fixed it.

See my post in your thread, you are having HBA issues.

See my post in your thread, you are having HBA issues.

Although you are probably right for this user, on more than one occasion I've had settings reset upon upgrading the OS.
If that happened then that "wrong" setting would stick on the downgrade.

Stuck on  "Loading.... bzroot."

This happened after upgrading from 6-12-13 to this release using the GUI upgrade option (The option that appears near the Unraid Logo on my unraid page)

*** Fixed ***
I had to go back into the Flash drive and rename "EFI" folder "EFI-".   Don't recall having todo that on prior upgrades.  Maybe this release doesn't retain the folder name "EFI-" and resets it to "EFI"?  I'll have todo some more testing to be sure.

*** Update ***
Just checked my past few months of Flash drive updates and they all have an "EFI" and NOT "EFI-" folder.  So I guess my system/MB might need the legacy mode now to boot on the new 6.1118 kernel.

The following happened while updating from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14:

  1. I received an email from:
"Console and webGui login account" <[email protected]>
This should not happen as I'm using "[email protected]" for notifications. Maybe "MAILFROM=<email address of notification settings>" should be used in crontab?
  2. the logs contained at the same time the following:

Was this "job 4" created by the update process and not successful or did it maybe stop a different cronjob like the ones of the File Integrity Plugin? I'm not sure how to find "job 4".

Upgraded from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14 with no issues.

Updated from 6.12.12 to 6.12.14.

So far 2+ days of uptime, no issues.

I updated to 6.12.14 this morning and lost all network connectivity with my server - in and out. I had a different Realtek driver installed apparently (not sure why).

Removing the driver appears to have fixed it.

This should definitely be added to the upgrade dialog box as a warning!

It is at the top of the Release Notes that you are meant to read before updating.

Updated from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14, no issues.

After reading the release notes, I was expecting my one Public share to not work with my Windows 11 (fully updated), but I was still able to access the share, so all good.
