Unraid OS version 7.1.3 available

This is a small bugfix and security update release, please see the release notes for all the details.

This announce post is perfect for quick questions or comments, but if you suspect there will be back and forth for your specific issue, please start a new topic under General Support. Be sure to include your diagnostics.zip.

Upgrade steps for this release

  1. As always, prior to upgrading, create a backup of your USB flash device:  "Main/Flash/Flash Device Settings" - click "Flash Backup".

  2. Read the release notes.

  3. Update all of your plugins. This is critical for the Connect, NVIDIA and Realtek plugins in particular.

  4. If the system is currently running 6.12.0 - 6.12.6, we're going to suggest that you stop the array at this point. If it gets stuck on "Retry unmounting shares", open a web terminal and type:

    umount /var/lib/docker

The array should now stop successfully

  5. If you have a recent release or Unraid Connect installed

    1. Open the dropdown in the top-right of the Unraid webgui and click Check for Update. More details in this blog post

  6. If you are on an earlier version

    1. Go to Tools -> Update OS and switch to the "Stable" branch if needed. If the update doesn't show, click "Check for Updates"

  7. Wait for the update to download and install

  8. If you have any plugins that install 3rd party drivers (NVIDIA, Realtek, etc), wait for the notification that the new version of the driver has been downloaded.

  9. Reboot

  • Well some of the users in here have had issues arise many hours or days after their updates. This could be very troublesome if I was away from home when something happened. I try to balance stability

  • 7.1.3 something seems strange for the smoke-ping docker. The dockers semms it has lost the internet (which works well) raider-diagnostics-20250605_1552.zip

  • So what is the latest actual stable version? Because a release that has bugfixes every other day doen't give me a lot of trust.

Upgrade from 7.1.2 to .3 went fine without any problems on my ugreen. Thx for the update.

Updated without any problems yet, thanks!

Any more specific details possible on what specifically changed here?

"Fix: Fix shim-br0 interface sometimes not created"

here as same, everything updated well on a Qnap TS253D.

Docker Containers, Linux VM's, Samba shares

thanks!

Update 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 went smooth. Thanks.

7.1.2 to 7.13 seems to have gone without issue.

Thank you.

I updated the release notes to clarify that this resolves issues with host access to custom networks. Also rewrote the line about mover as that was causing unnecessary concern.

The world is on fire - but my Unraid systems are all working fine*

* One system stalled on installation after the reboot. Required me to force shutdown. After reboot seems to be running 7.1.3 without issue.

Saw the same thing on one of the 2 servers I updated. Now 30 hours later I've found I've lost gui on both in the last several hours.

Yes, I have a similar problem. After updating to 7.1.3, I get the following error message, after login: "500 Internal Server Error". The login page works, but then I am redirected to this error message. It hasn't happened after the reboot (which went smooth), but now about 20 hours later.

I updated a few minutes ago from 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 since this update my array and pools are gone. Also the dashboard is not working any more.
Docker, VMs and SMB are working so far.

After a downgrade to 7.1.2 all is working normally.

I assume you mean they are not populating on the GUI? This is typically a display issue, but please create a new bug report and post the diagnostics.

Upgraded from 7.1.2 yesterday without issue.

Reverted both mine to 7.1.2. The one that had required a hard power off during the upgrade process also required a hard power off to finish the reboot to the downgrade. This server has been running Unraid since like 6.0 and it only has this issue like 5-10% of these OS updates for some reason.

One of my servers is on 7.0.1 - should I shoot for 7.1.3 directly or go 7.1.2 -> 7.1.3?

I would go direct - no benefit to go via intermediate releases.

same network issue. unraid loses internet access. found the forums and reverting to 7.1.2

If you reboot it works fine for a while, then it starts happening again.

if you stop docker engine while having the issue, internet is back on and I can ping 1.1.1.1

yes I do have tailscale, unsure if that is the issue.

I'd go to 7.12 until more is known about these loss of GUI issues. Hadn't had those is about 18 months before this, back when the OG br0/macvlan/ipvlan stuff was going on.

Updated from 7.0.1 to 7.1.3. No internet connectivity either. ☹️

(edit) everything is working fine after leaving it overnight 🤷‍♂️

Left mine for 2 days as I forgot since I upgraded and still no intetnet connectivity. Downgraded back to 7.1.2 and all working fine.

My Server keeps losing the internet connection as well. After +/- 24 hours. I cannot go back to 7.1.2. because mover is broken in that release. So I will stay on 7.1.3. and keep rebooting the server until there is a fix available. Very unfortunate situation to have two broken releases in a row.

How long does it take to update. My screen shows "Performing Actions - Please keep this window open while we perform some actions" for the last 90min. I was on 6.12.14
