Fix: Upgraded Samba to resolve issues with Time Machine

Is there any detail anywhere about this? I was hoping it would fix the "The backup disk image could not be created." error on MacOS Tahoe, but I'm getting the same error even after the upgrade.

Make sure you are starting a new backup, it also may be worth recreating the TM share, but please continue in the existing bug report.

The continue button dims out everytime i try to click on it. This happened in safari, brave and firefox on mac

This is an issue for a lot of us. The Continue button doesn't work.

Not seeing what button you are referring to, please post a screenshot.

He probably means the continue button you see after reviewing the changelog (after pressing update on the update available notification).
I just had the same issue. Using the Update OS button on the Tools page however did work for me without issues.

It's the continue button after reading the changelog that is required to click to complete upgrade. Maybe someone else can post a screen as i went through other means as a workaround to upgrade, but basically continue is "bright" until I hover my mouse over it, then it dims and does nothing when I click it. If i take mouse off of continue button, the button undims. I then try to click it again and it dims and does nothing.

I am running into this issue on Windows using both Chrome and Edge browsers. Even rebooted the server and tried with array offline but same issue.

Same issue on Windows using Chrome and Edge browsers. Got around it by pressing more options on the update screen instead of reading change log. That takes you to another page where there is an option to push the update and that seemed to work fine.

Can confirm same issue using Chrome on my android device. Button dims and does nothing. Went to tools / update OS / and it works fine.

I can also confirm the update bug. System rebooted, tried multiple times, and when I attempted the workaround of going to Tools → Upgrade OS, I received this warning/error:

Same for me. Refreshing Chrome tab proceeded with update. Maybe something in browser cache?

I can read, I swear...... 😅I will say that it seems to have fixed the bug with clicking continue as well. Interestingly, the only way I got the error log was to do it via the Tools → Upgrade OS. I was unable to reproduce that error when clicking the upgrade button in the top-left corner.

Edit: Once I upgraded the Unraid Connect plugin, I had to reboot the server, and then the update went through via the top left upgrade button without errors.

I know for some, updating to 7.2.3 is an issue; however, for me (on Windows 11 coming from 7.2.2 Unraid), the only problem I had was that I did not update the Connect plugin before attempting the Unraid update on one machine so I got the "error" message indicated in prior posts. As soon as I updated the plugin, the Unraid update proceeded with no issues (no problems with Continue button).

Successful update on all three of my Unraid servers.

Working fine here but I see this frequently when poking around in the webgui.

I think it started with 7.2 maybe. Seen it sporadically in the past but not as frequent as now.
I try to remember if I have added something but just Unraid Connect plugin comes to mind (I don't use any Connect feature but bugs in Unraid releases and updated api made me add it).

No problems whatsoever this time. Great job team!

Note: I did notice my average CPU temps dropped about 10C. On 7.1.4 I hovered around 48c most of the time during idle and now I'm around 37c. I'm not complaining just surprised
