June 4, 201511 yr Hi ... have just gone to rc4 and notice that from cold my drives are showing as 27degrees?? Surely thats not right. Ladt evening i thought that 40degrees was far too high given that the normally run at 29-30degrees. Is there a known problem here?
June 4, 201511 yr Community Expert I have not experienced any problem with this. It's unclear what you are asking. Are your drives colder than expected or hotter than expected?

June 6, 201511 yr have to say, after running rc4 over rc3 now for about 2 1/2 days, the average gui displayed hdd temp is about 3-5°C hotter than before upgrade. still not getting alarming, but considering nothing else changed it is kinda strange. cheers, L

See here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40368.msg380848#msg380848 AFAIK there are no disk related differences between rc3 and rc4. Maybe your ambient conditions have changed?
June 6, 201511 yr Maybe try dropping back to RC3 and see if it really does make a difference, or as bonienl suggests, it's just that the ambient temperature has increased.

Yes - under Settings->Display Settings. May not be the obvious place to look - I feel notifications would be more intuitive but I suspect that it is under Display Settings as that was where it was put before the notifications settings option was available.
