  • It doesn't help to install it on unraid. It needs to be installed in the container. I'll see if I can add the package soon.

  • Should be fixed now. @sparklyballs did it before I got to even think about it

  • the webgui is limited to running commands like stats to get info about your library - you can't tag there.   http://beets.readthedocs.io/en/v1.4.6/plugins/web.html

Anyone set this up to auto watch the downloads directory?

Anyone set this up to auto watch the downloads directory?

.. and do sensible importing of duplicates (higher bitrate only)

with the old beets docker I could run

docker exec -i -t Beets beet import /downloads

and be able to interact with the prompts. that is not the case with this docker. Please advise.

You need to get to bash first:

docker exec -i -t Beets bash

then run

beet import /downloads

got it, thanks!

edit: nope, still not able to enter feedback at the prompt, for example:

This album is already in the library!
Old: 11 items, FLAC, 2799kbps, 48:04, 965.0 MiB
New: 11 items, FLAC, 2799kbps, 48:04, 962.5 MiB
[s]kip new, Keep both, Remove old?

got it, thanks!

I'm in the same boat as the two of you. After getting into the container and running beets, the program doesn't respond to any keyboard commands so I end up stuck at the first prompt. I thought it might be a putty issue, but I'm having the same problem from a linux terminal.

got it, thanks!

I'm confused, this is working fine for me..

Installed the new update, still broken.

same situation in my side. i've also tried to uninstall the prevision version deleteting the container and the image, remove the docker datas and try to start a clean install. same problems

I am in the same boat as death.hilarious, thaddeussmith, and wizard84.  I can install it, get it running, and start a bash session. However, if I enter a beet command that requires a response, beet ignores keyboard presses so I can't respond.

I'm having the same problem as others. I can respond to the y/n prompts, but none of the more complicated prompts will respond to any input.

The issue is being worked on, and we can reproduce it, but no fix at the moment....

Sorry, should have updated this thread sooner.

No worries, just glad to see I'm not an isolated and unreproducible case. :)

Looking forward to seeing this up and running

Same issue here..

I got mine working.

Deleted the container and reconfigured it..

this time I mapped config as well.. I didn't specify a folder last time.. just let docker create one for me..

this time I made a beets folder and mapped the config folder to that folder..

and I now have keyboard ack.

can't see why it should matter but it's working.. so go figure..

been doing that from the start here.

New update works great for me.

likewise, for new albums that were enough of a positive match to not require input. I'll need to get an album I already have imported and see if user input is recognized when the album conflict surfaces.

is there any way to get the discogs plugin added to the container?  every time things update you need to install it again.  not hard, but I see it as an essential plugin for times musicbrainz doesnt have the goods album in the DB

with the old beets docker I could run

docker exec -i -t Beets beet import /downloads

You need to get to bash first:

docker exec -i -t Beets bash

then run

beet import /downloads

Where would one enter these commands?  On the BEETS server /port page or somewhere else on the docker itself?
