OK guys i have been chin wagging with @ich777 and he tells me he was also seeing hangs with unrar with the sabnzbd docker image he produced and switched over to unrar v7 beta and this seems to of fixed the issue, so with that in mind i have pushed out a new image with unrar v7 included, please pull down docker image with tag name 'unrar-compile' and let me know the outcome, if it's all good (will take several days to verify) then i will merge into main/master.

Done. I don't have a huge volume running through, so it may take a while to get results, especially since my instance really doesn't hang all that often, maybe 1 in 20 if that.

Mine are like this as well - still hanging on the "binhex/arch-nzbget:unrar-compile" 

 

EDIT I should say it is now working after I went into nzbget and reloaded through the settings. I have a user script that restarts it every hour but that was not fixing this...nor would a restart of the container from unraid GUI- only thru the setting within nzbget would it clear up the hang

I just installed this container last night and was having unpacking issues. I switched to this tag and it was fixed. Perhaps it was restarting the container that actually fixed it but at least it is working now. Will try some more files and update if it fails

Just read it on reddit that the development of nzbget was forked and resumed (https://github.com/nzbgetcom/nzbget). anyone know if this is true / reliable?

it def looks active, lots has changed in the latest 'testing' release which was released only 2 days ago, see here for details:- https://github.com/nzbgetcom/nzbget/releases

So there are still issues with unpack and TLS on binhex-nzbget is this right? I just set my one up today and i also had issues with stuck unpacking.

 

or did i missed something on the last pages?

Unpack, yes, TLS is a nzbget issue and has a workaround in place.

unpack issue is just a thing on unraid right? on my normal pc using windows it works without a problem.

so it doesn´t matter if i use another nzbget container from unraid community apps, it would be the same right?

 

where can i found the workaround for TLS on which page? looks like i missed it.

i hate to say this but you may have better success with the Linuxserver nzbget image, i THINK it has less occurances of the unpack isssue, NO idea why it doesnt suffer from it so much *shrug*

I only have these in Community Apps, so try the ng one or not? sry i am pretty new to all this

i guess you could try the nzbget-ng image, but i have no idea if the unpack issue exists or not.

 

As for the TLS issues it maybe driver related, are you running Realtek NIC's by any chance?

You are talking about the network port on mainboard?  or am i totally on the wrong way?

Possibly, yes, Realtek NIC's are notorious for having bad linux drivers leading to issues, i think there are drivers available via unraid 'plugins' but i have no idea if they will fix your TLS issue or not.

So as i tried to make changes in settings of nzbget-ng i receive the following error:
