brisimmons105
So my one year old daughter has found my unRAID tower...I will be moving it out of reach shortly, but she has managed to press the power button a few times and it kind of has me worried. I've seen no issues arise because of it, but I was wondering if there was a built-in safe power down when the power button is pushed. It doesn't shut down right away, it does some thinking first then turns itself off. Any idea? Quote Link to comment

ljm42
I didn't want to risk it so I didn't even connect the power button on my case. If I want to shut down I use the gui and then I turn it on using IPMI. Quote Link to comment

If you have the powerdown plugin installed then, yes, a short push of the power button will perform a controlled shutdown. However, a long press of that button is trapped by the hardware a will perform an abrupt power off. Quote Link to comment
