  • Great plugin, saves a lot of boring maintenance work 😊 I noticed that you have the option "Delay in days before updating applications:" for plugins, but not for docker containers. Is there a special r

  • No it's my fault.  A piece of experimental code I was working on mistakenly wound up in the release version.  Check for updates

  • Please implement "implicit no" (i.e. default auto update to yes, and set one or a few specifically to no), for auto updates. Right now, you only have "yes" (which cannot set one or some to no), or "

Please make the new icon stop spinning...

lol  I figured it was applicable.  Auto Update = Auto Spin

TBH, I was playing around, and it's my small little rebellion against the going wisdom of how a modern UI is actually a retro look back to when we all had monochrome monitors.

I'm glad I found your post. This morning is the first I've noticed the spinning icon and figured the update process was stuck running. Rebooted and figured I had an issue.

You guys are boring. :(   Updated

best update in 2019!

Thank you!!! I was getting annoyed with plugins continuously needing handholding for me to take them through an update >_<

If possible, would love to see update checks every few hours if that is okay or even better when the app somehow triggers to say that an update is available just to do it at that time. You make a real difference with this program thanks for sharing sir!

Are you talking about the latest changes to this plugin, or did you just now discover this plugin which has existed for 2 years?

It will allow you to set a custom schedule but I just use the daily setting which should be enough for anybody.

You can set a custom cron schedule for it to run.  But once per day is more than sufficent

CA (Apps) will always tell you if its out of date (whether or not plugin update checking is disabled, etc).  And it's basically nothing for the other plugin authors to also let the user know about any updates whenever they hit the settings.  It's all up to the author and how annoyed they get when seeing users running older versions.

Yep! Had an idea that something like this should exist, then search it out and find Squid's all ready on the case!

Roger that! I'll leave well enough alone to 5AM daily in that case.

0 * * * * for the top of the hour, every hour

But, hourly is extreme overkill, and daily should be sufficient

Maybe make a tooltip or place an example, so one knows its standard crontab input

Thanks

The general crontab syntax is already documented on the internet, and is too complex for a tooltip.

There is even a page to help you do it:

https://crontab.guru/

that custom accepts cron syntax, eg 30 12 * * *

That is the point of the custom entry. What is your point?

I think the point is that nowhere does it say that it's a cron entry it's looking for in the field.

I guess you will be addressing that then?😉

Normally, I don't pump out an update for something this minor, but since I don't have anything else queued up for updates on the plugin, I've already done so.

thank you

Probably your server can't reach the internet for some reason. Can you ping github from your server?

Yep, I just installed a few other things that are pulling from github.
