I find that the pub key will be changed in RustdesktoServer-AiO logs.

To what is the path in the template, set? Make sure if it's set to /mnt/cache/... that the primary storage in the Share settings is set to Cache and the secondary to none.

You could also change the path to /mnt/user/...

Please be sure to create the password first inside the container, to do that open up a terminal from the container (click on the container icon and on 'Console' then type in the following:

  1. su $USER
  2. vncpasswd
  3. ENTER YOUR PASSWORD TWO TIMES AND PRESS ENTER

After that close the terminal and edit the template and create a variable with the Key: 'TURBOVNC_PARAMS' and leave it empty like in this example:

grafik.thumb.png.e031fd7098ecbae738f8e4ec2e3f392a.png

Click on 'Apply' and connect again to the noVNC WebGUI, you should now be greeted with a password. :)

I tried the same method for Chrome, but after I set the new variable the container stops at Starting Chrome and dies. If the variable isn t set then the container works, but no passwd.

How can I fix this?

No issue over here, just tried it.

  1. Please stop the container
  2. Remove the added variable TURBOVNC_PARAMS
  3. Open the container console again
  4. Type in the container console:
    su $USER
    vncpasswd
Then type two times the password and say no at the last message
  5. Add the variable TURBOVNC_PARAMS again

Hi @ich777

I have a problem with the jdownloader docker. For a few days now, an attempt has been made to automatically install an update while the docker is running. However, the update always stops at a little more than halfway through. Then the container restarts and tries again and again. An endless loop.

I wanted to make a backup before reinstalling, but I can't get to the UI due to the problem described above.

https://support.jdownloader.org/de/knowledgebase/article/fix-jdownloader-installation

Is it enough, if I back up the appdata folder and reinstall it?

Edit:

I have already seen your post on this, but I am not sure whether the settings and lists will be retained(?)

Yes they will be, at least they where when I tried this back in the day.
Alternatively you can rename tmp and update to something else when the container is stopped and delete Core.jar and jDownloader.jar (please don't forget to delete the renamed folders after the update went through).

Thank you, issue was solved after I change path to /mnt/user/....

I have just tried it, but even after deleting the above data/folders, the error remains. Update - 58% (or something like that) - jdownloader restart/crash - update and so onand on and on... :(

Do you have any further ideas?

edit: Ok, nervermind. I just keep the container running (in a loop), while making a cup of coffee and actually it seems to be fixed after a couple of minutes :D

my OpenVPN_Client and or Transmission docker apps keep stopping without any messages. Is there any way to automatically restart them if the VPN connection is lost?

I'm not following 100%, do they just stop or do they restart?

My OpenVPN-Client container has the parameter:

--restart=unless-stopped

in it which basically will restart the container when something in the container crashes, if they are stopping, are you sure that they are not stopped by anything else.

What's the trick to getting access to the Lucky Backup GUI?  When I install it and select the WebUI, I just get a black screen.  I'm running almost 30 containers and none of them have any issues like this.  Is there a step I'm missing other than editing the properties in the container?

30 containers and you dont have another listening on 8080 already? - Just my 2c

I'm here to ask @ich777 whether it would be much hassle to imnplement client clipboard integration to Tor-Browser? Manually typing onion addresses is painful! Unless i'm missing something....?

Thanks!

Seems like luckBackup is not starting properly.

Can you please try to start over and give it a bit more time on the first start since it downloads luckyBackup on first start:

  1. Delete the Container
  2. Delete the folder for luckybackup from your appdata directory
  3. Pull a fresh copy from the CA App

You can use the left hand noVNC menu for that.

Just click on the little arrow and select clipboard, there you can copy text from and to the container.

I did try all of that before posting.  However, I did notice that there was no appdata folder when I went in to delete it.

Then please double check the paths in the template.

Apologies, I missed this one.  I do have another container using 8080 so I've been using port 8777 which is not used.

There isn't really much to check other than the config path going to my appdata folder and the data path mapped to /mnt.  Is there something else I need to be adding for something specific to VNC?

Nope, it is working OOB with the default settings.

I just tried installing a new instacce and it‘s working just fine over here.

I've reinstalled it 30-40 times and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it works for a little and then it just goes black.  No issues with any other containers, just this one.  I set up a backup and ran it, I can see that my destination is consuming the data because it's maxing out a 10GbE connection, but there is no way to get to a GUI unless I reinstall it 1-10 times.  It's a bit strange this one is the only app that it's an issue and there definitely is no port conflict and I've tried to connect to the GUI from 4 different browsers, and also MacOS, Kubuntu, Bazzite, Windows, and iOS with most of those browsers(obviously not all are compatible with each other).

Sorry I can't help with that since it just works for, I assume, most users just fine and I can't reproduce what you are seeing.

Maybe try to use another container DirSyncPro, Syncthing,... or even a Plugin (rclone).

Hello Ich777, i got problems with the DirSyncPro Docker.

It worked finde, now i realized by checking the backups, that i wont work anymore since 2 month.

it says:

Just a stupid question, disk space is not a concern?

I'm not 100% sure what could cause this.

Disk Space is not a concern, i got "plenty" .. oh okey.. if u cant imagine whats wrong.. i am not able to find it by myself i guess :)

but thx anyway trying to help me out

image.thumb.png.d66416cd8845716ddfb504b61eaba53a.png

EDIT.. okey sometimes i am lucky and try things out.. and find a solution i gues..

Don't know why... never touched this setting almost 2 years and it worked fine.. but now i have to change.. like you Commented in the Docker to Read/Write.. now it workes

but i am only reading from source file, dont know why i have to change it.. its just a "stupid-- Copy from A to B" rule.. nothing spacial.. no bi directional sync.

but never the less.. it workes again for me

Yep, found that today, sorry for the hassle.

Will your headstone read "No Regrets"? or "It started out of necessity...Then I encoded my consciousness into 180 slices and hid them in public containers"?

It's surely become more than a hobby, and demanding your time regularly supporting mostly user issues i assume...?
I also dont imagine donations cover the workload of maintaining let alone pub;ishing anew? I've never donated to a private dev, i realise now how bad that behaviour actually is... I owe a few people *hunts your donation box*.

Seeing how i'm about to be a paying customer.... May i ask a loosly specific question? If i deploy this docker with Tailscale, what behaviour would i expect - It;s accessible from tailnet assumably, but the IP/hostname that gets assigned doesn't load the WebUI as i woulve expected... Do i have something wrong in my setup or in my brain?

How did you add the container to Tailscale?

If you did it with the Unraid WebUI with the Tailscale toggle switch then it should just work right OOB without you needing to do anything.

To what URL/Port does Serve point?
