Every once in a while unraid takes down my whole home network, right down to the WAN level. Both Wifi and lan cannot access the internet. the 2 ways to fix this is either reboot unraid or reboot my router. Ive had my ISP in 4 times thinking it was them. but turns out if I unplug in raid from the network my line never drops out again. sometimes I raid will work for a week straight no problems….sometimes it freezes multiple times a day. Please some smart people out there point me in the right direction! I just bought the software because it’s amazing. transferred all my media…now this :s

Also ist meine beste Möglichkeit für mehr Performance alles zuerst auf den Cache zu schreiben. Und dann bei Gelegenheit noch eine zweite Parity einzubauen das ich da auch auf der sicheren Seite bin. Aber wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe habe ich keine Absicherung gegen Bit Rot oder? Deswegen gehe ich monatlich alle Platten mit File Integrity durch ich hoffe das ist sinnvoll. Sorry für die ganzen Fragen aber ich will um jeden Preis eine Datenverlust durch falsch Konfiguration vermeiden.

Ja, sollte gehen (habs noch nicht probiert), aber.... sei Dir bewusst, dass es aktuell im Web-UI keine Funktion für ZFS und Snaps (inkl. send/receive) gibt. das unraid array ist kein grosser zfs-Pool...jede Disk ist einzeln ZFS formatiert, ein vdev, ein pool. ... unraid eben. Daher kannst Du mit zfs send nur datasets von unraid-pool aufs unraid-array schieben, wenn der zfs-pool, der das dataset aufnehmen soll, auch Platz hat. Ja, natürlich, aber siehe oben, Punkt 2. Ausserdem: solange Du nur eine Daten-Disk im unrad Array hast, macht unraid mit der Parity einen Mirror draus (das ist schneller). Das verlierst Du, wenn Du mehr als eine Daten-Disk im Array hast.

VPN was one of the first things I started setting up. Not sure I like my current solution. Kind of wish TeamViewer had a docker. Thanks for the heads up though.

Thanks for the hint. I took a look at the diagnostics and found out helpers.php in CA errored out when it tried to parse the docker templates in /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user. It turned out the culprit was one badly formatted xml I left there. The issue resolved after I removed it.

The "pcie_aspm=off" kernel parameter hides a problem. I would really like to fix the underlying problem so the parameter isn't needed. If anybody is willing to help fix it, please open a bug report at https://bugzilla.kernel.org/, product Drivers/PCI, mention the hardware platform, and attach: complete dmesg log (I assume this will include some Correctable Errors) output of "sudo lspci -vv" Try booting with the "pcie_aspm=off" kernel parameter to see if it makes any difference. If it does, please also attach similar dmesg and lspci output for this boot. This seems similar to https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215027, which we originally thought was related to Intel VMD and/or the Samsung NVMe device you have, but I now suspect we might have an ASPM configuration problem.

Until the Chibisafe template on unraid gets updated, should I just down-convert to 5.x for the time being? Edit: Using the docker compose on Dockge to get it working

Please uninstall the plugin, then remove the .conf file that you've created with: rm -f /boot/config/modprobe.d/qnap_ec.conf then install the plugin again, reboot and see if it is working.

Da hast du recht, bin allerdings nicht zuhause und habe nur remote schnell das Script geändert. Möchte ungern alles auf dem Handy prüfen, dass kann auch noch bis morgen warten

Is there any guide about rebuild the parity? I do not want to lose data in the process..

it's perfectly fine to expose services through a reverse proxy. For unraid gui itself it's generally advised to access it through a vpn.

Danke euch für die Antworten. Ich hatte mich heute morgen als der Fehler auftrat, durch die logs gewühlt, aber nichts gefunden was auf eine Erklärung hindeutet. Ich habe es nun so wie CZ13 auf 2 runden aufgeteilt. Boot und appdata und ne viertel Stunde später disk1. Mal sehen ob morgen früh nextcloud noch läuft. Genau nur anhand des Dashboards, wenn dies jedoch ungenau ist, werde ich es nächstes Mal mit htop beobachten. Ich warte nun mal morgen früh ab und sollte das Problem weiterhin bestehen, schaue ich mir die logs nochmal an und werde sie hier mal posten.

I got a weird problem. Everything else on CA works fine except I cannot click into Installed Apps and Previous Apps on the sidebar. The webui just throws the error 'Browser failed to communicate with Unraid Server\n For unknown reasons, your browser was unable to communicate with Community Applications running on your server.' @JorgeB I am wandering on internet for more than a month searching how to setup my 1st homeserver. Watched hundreds of videos and read hundreds of posts. But not being familiar with linux I was totally lost & equally frustrated. I cannot thank you enough for taking time & patiently answering all my queries. You are a lifesaver. Danke erstmal für die Infos! Es sind zum Glück 2 Sata Anschlüsse vorhanden. Ich war kurz davor, die Variante mit den 2x nVMEs zu nehmen, war dann aber doch zu geizig ~1600€ für die 2x 8 TB auszugeben. Es wurde daher jetzt die 3te Variante, habe mir ein HDD Gehäuse gedruckt, sieht jetzt schon deutlich besser aus. 2x 18TB HDDs drin, die eine als Parity Platte und die andere ins Array. Hab allerdings nicht herausgefunden, wie man die Cache Platte mit Parity verbinden kann. Habe nur leider noch Temperatur Probleme, Platten werden teilweise 80°C heiß wenn ich da ordentlich rum kopiere. Ich denke die Kiste ist wirklich eher nur als Firewall / Router vorgesehen. Muss mir daher erstmal ein umfangreiches Gehäuse designen + 3d Drucken wo ich 1-2 Lüfter einbauen kann. Eine weitere Herausforderung ist, wie ich eine 2,5 Gbit Anbindung vom Rechner zum Homeserver hin bekomme. Der Server hat 4x 2,5 Gbit Ports. An eth0 habe ich die Fritzbox dran gepackt (Fritzbox hat nur 1 Gbit). An eth1 möchte ich meinen Rechner mit 2,5 Gbit verbinden, will dann aber trotzdem Internet haben von der Fritzbox, auf das Netzwerk normal zugreifen können aber halt auf dem Server mit 2,5 Gbit Zugriff haben. Habe erstmal versucht bei eth0 so ein bridge-modus einzustellen auf eth1, das hat aber das Verhalten als wenn ich den Rechner direkt an die Fritzbox hänge. Zugriff trotzdem nur mit so 119 MB/Sekunde per sftp. Edit: Es hat doch geklappt, lag an winscp, dass die Geschwindigkeit so langsam war, mache es nun per Terminal mit scp

darauf habe ich garnicht geschaut, dann habe ich das das letzte mal wohl einfach korrekt gemacht, durch Zufall. Jetzt sieht die Geschichte so aus Usb Geräte Teile ich mit einem USB Manager zu , daher ist hier nichts gewählt. Selbst aber wenn das hier so ist, ich habe die VM jetzt ja nicht runtergefahren, aber sie wird sich demnach nicht wieder zerlegen oder wie ist das hier zu erklären, dass das Image dann einfach weg war ?
